"We wanted to go to this restaurant for a long time and chose News Years eve. It’s pricey so special occasion and also award winning. Our expectations were very high. I was happy to see Dover sole on the menu. My husband chose a pork chop. We had a $40 mushroom appetizer. (Nothing special Randy, had a nice red wine. Me, my traditional old fashioned with xtra cherries in a sticky glass was brought to the table. I sipped a few sips, hands got all sticky/. I asked the bus boy when I could not see my waiter to please clean the glass. He brought it back with a little less drink. It seems they could have simply remade it. The waiter came over to make a point to say “ it was probably all the xtra cherries you wanted.” An odd an unnecessary comment to make. Randy took a bite of his pork chop. It was so salty. (I tasted it—it was way too salty . We sent it back to do over. They arbitrarily added Fois gras to the dish as compensation for the mishap. Not something my hubby eats. Ever. It was brought back -meanwhile my $100 Dover sole was cold. I really wanted this to be exceptional. We were asked by Randy’s mom on our weekly call today how it was. We hadn’t talked about it since we were out at an event till 3 am. Unfortunately we had to say the experience was less than acceptable. I hope they improve. There are too many amazing restaurants in our hometown to support restaurants that simply fail to delver on simple things."

"My wife and I have eaten there twice in the past 4 to 5 weeks, and both times I have been very disappointed with my food and service. On the first occasion there were screaming kids in the large center table having a birthday party so we sat out on the patio. You would have thought we had the plague because it was next to impossible to get service out there. My wife ordered the clam linguini which she liked. I ordered the lasagna, and when it was served, the sauce was steaming hot but the inside of the lasagna was cool, It obviously sat in the cold refrigerator too long and they did not heat it up enough in the oven. Our second dinner very recently, again my wife ordered the clam linguini which was fine. I told the server we wanted to order a large pizza and asked her the difference between their two styles (fancy Italian names), and she informed me that one was thin crust and the other thick crust. We deduced to get the thick crust, so I ordered a large sausage and mushroom thick crust pizza. When it arrived, it was served on a large round pizza tray, but was a smaller rectangle shaped pizza cut in 8 square pieces. I asked the server if this was a large pizza and she said that the thick crust pizza only comes in one size! She said nothing about that when I ordered a large thick crust pizza! Worst, you could hardly find the sausage on the pizza. They apparently took an Italian sausage and sliced it very thin probably on a mandolin, and the slices were paper thin. They were scattered over the pizza but you could hardly taste them at all. Sauce was the only think you could taste. Very disappointed! I rated them 2 stars because my wife liked the clam linguini, but the rest of the meal was a total bust. We will not be going back there again."
