"Since moving to Allen Tx, I have been ordering food from this branch of LaMadeline and am very disappointed with the quality of food. I have repeatedly received stale food and burned crousants. Missing food on my delivery orders. The company should investigate the management of this branch as it is not up to your standards. I have decided not to give anymore chances as the cost of food does not meet the quality I have been getting. Is a shame as this was my favorite place to eat."

"We came here for New Years Eve, also our 1 year wedding anniversary. Staff was welcoming, our waiter was excellent. We ordered drinks, old fashioneds, which were made really wonderful, and oysters. We each got an order of 12 oysters plus the chives frites. Never had a order of fries taste so good. Also got the peanut butter dessert. YUM. Thank you for a wonderful experience."

"This is my first time coming to la Madeleine in nearly a decade and I must say... I was BLOWN AWAY. We wanted a quick meal before heading over to Hurricane Harbor and it was a great experience. We ordered a whole french dip, nutella crepes, tomato soup and coffees. We also ordered mimosas which were ONLY $6! They give you an entire bottle of champagne and a whole cup of orange juice so you get around 3 glasses of mimosa, which makes it only $2/glass! I was so amazed by this the champagne is not the best quality but it is still a great deal and the orange juice was amazing so it balanced out. The french dip and nutella crepes were both very good people have a misconception that this place is overprcied but it is equally as expensive at IHOP or Cracker Barrel. Overall, this place was a great place to visit and again, the mimosas are A1. Needless to say, we ordered another round and were very happy by the end of our meals. Great place and I strongly recommend!"

"This place went downhill!!! Not sure in other places, but this is just terrible. I used to be in there and felt welcome. Customer service was great, the food was fresh and the place was clean. Three important points to justify the paid prices. You need everything. Prices have risen and the quality of everything else is gone. I can't even get a real big mushroom soup and get my own bread more. You hold it behind the counter. You have to ask, and if you do, they're basically stuck in a baggy and throw it on you with a soff. I do not go back until this place corrects these problems or calculates the deserved price for this terrible quality."

"I am now physically sick as a direct result of eating this food. I was perfectly fine before. I will be contacting the health department to report as I have no doubt this is a direct result of the food preparation and unsanitary conditions of the restaurant. Update: gas stations have been quality food than this place. Food was in fact cold and disgusting. Clearly had been made before hang and been sitting with no attempt to heat it up. The bread on the sandwich was rock hard and stale and the “soup” was lumpy and the texture of watery oatmeal. I assume it’s supposed to resemble potatoes. All you can taste is salt. From the little that I ate i immoderately felt queasy and then very Ill after less than an hour. We ordered a pickup order of almost $50 and when we got there the drinks we ordered were out of stock. We were denied a refund AND denied the option of getting another drink and expected to leave empty handed after spending almost $10 on drinks that were not given to us. My husband had to fight with the employee and waste more of our time just to get a refund the employee was too lazy to process. Imagine how much “effort” they put into the food and cleanliness. The whole restaurant was dirty and disorganized and the power kept going out. I can’t imagine what the kitchens look like. We would have been fine just leaving with a different drink or even a fountain drink but they couldn’t even manage to do that. Don’t waste your money here. I’m sure by the time we get home the food will be cold and soggy."

"Came in on 4/27/22 around 4:15pm and when our food was brought out to us we noticed an error with our meal. We politely noticed the lady at the front who apologized and stated she would talk to the cook. Long story short the cook and front desk lady were very apologetic, polite, and went above and beyond to make things right. The food was fantastic as always but this experience really made my day. I will come back because of the exceptional customer service!"

"Not recommended. Vivante is a stereotypical hotel restaurant: a beautiful decor but poorly managed. We thought Vivante would be a perfect location for dinner before a show at the nearby Center for the Performing Arts, but we were wrong. We explained on arrival that we had theater tickets, and we were assured there was plenty of time. That should have been true, but waitress was inexperienced and poorly trained. Evidently there also were problems in the kitchen. The waitress took over 30 minutes to take our entree order, and the kitchen took almost an hour to prepare it. That is in spite of the fact I left the table three times to find a manager and ask for service. We had to eat hurriedly and rush to the theater."

"order ahead forgot my pic but there are other pics on here of the vegan standard bfast! it was very good, well seasoned tofu scramble! very good resemblance of vegan sausage patties, yumm and a yummy sourdough toast with veg butter and perfectly crispy hashbrowns!! i made some of it into a bfast sammy it was soooo good. hubby got the bfast burrito that had chili on top and subbed everything to make it vegan, so vegan chz and tofu scramble and added vegan sausage, he really liked it. it was deliciousss, huge good portions. order and they bring it to your table we were rhere around 1 on a sunday and it was packed but it came out so fast, within 10 mins! sweet lady that took our order with a really sweet smile. would definitely come back! "I am a fan of la Madeleine, but definitely this branch is way below the acceptable edge in the quality! A few days ago, I bought three sandwich to go and when I noticed it is not fresh, I looked at inside of my sandwich which was a Chicken Parisian and I just surprised and shocked. All three sandwiches were garbage and we threw them away! It was like a 3-day old food with almost no chicken inside!! Please see the picture and never ever go to this branch of la Madeleine!"

"It turned out that the restaurant was closed, but the bar area was open. We could wonder in and sit in the bar area. (They were serving food in the bar area. This was not the restaurant experience we expected making a reservation using OpenTable. Furthermore, the menu they gave us was not the same as the menu that was on the website (many of the online menu items were no longer offered . We ended up leaving, because what we had picked out to eat was not offered. This restaurant is sometimes open sometimes closed (and sometimes partially open using the bar area . It was a disappointment (and a waste of some time due to the inaccurate representation on the Internet. Note: the ratings above can be disregarded because we did not actually eat the food. "Since the black lady manager left the restaurant, the quality has noticeably declined. On my recent visit, I asked for fresh 7-grain bread at checkout, but received stale bread instead. When I brought this to the attention of the server, she was dismissive and unhelpful. The manager, a young Mexican man, also failed to provide fresh bread, instead giving me stale bread that had been microwaved. To make matters worse, the recipe for the tomato basil soup had been changed, which was disappointing. A customer who overheard my complaint also felt the need to interject their opinion to the manager. Overall, my experience was frustrating and I was disappointed with the lack of care and attention to detail. It was also surprising that the employees did not wear name tags, making it difficult to identify who was responsible for the poor service."

"The brunch was incredibly disappointing and not just for the price point. The cost was $165 a person (you are charged in advance plus gratuity) and by the time we arrived the food was totally destroyed. The cheese plates on the buffet where so mangled that other parts and bits of food had been smashed into the cheese…this grossness was never cleaned up or removed. One of the offerings for kids was a donut “bar” that’s a lofty description of one small bowl of cold donut holes. Omelette bar was good and at the basic expectation but literally everything else was picked over or missing all together. Then let’s talk about the small plates of leather like bits of ham sitting on book shelves under the heat lamps…honestly I think there was other meat as well but I couldn’t identify it. In the same section was mozzarella and tomato’s, another part I kept thinking would be refreshed but that didn’t happen. Overall I was told it would also be a kid friendly event but the candy bar (which was lovely by the way) cannot be the only kid friend food. Our kids would have eaten the veggie sushi but unfortunately it had turned brown and I couldn’t subject them to that. So next is the shellfish, we love shellfish and it was one of the reasons we decided to do this for Easter (other than kid friendly, etc)…the oysters had turned lukewarm as had the the shrimp and it was deeply concerning. It did not appear that they had the fresh seafood on a timer for refreshing at all. The service staff really seemed to do their best with the situation but overall I would never recommend the Boston Harbor hotel to anyone for their holiday brunch."

"I don?t know what had happened to this restaurant. Before COVID it was one of our favorite restaurants in this area. Today was our first visit after Covid, we ordered chicken Parisian with tomato basil soup, and Basalmic salmon with steam/boiled broccolion the side. The food came over, it was different to my expectation. The salmon cooked well, but the broccoli was giant liketrees ????and there was standing water on the plate?. the salmon and broccoli staying in the standing water on the plate?. Thebasil soup was used very good, but until toward the end of the meal and reminding them the soup, the waitress brought the soup,but she held the plate close to her face and also talking to us ,actually she spoke to the soup? her saliva probably on thesurface of the soup?.We didn?t have the soup?She brought coffee, and she held coffee close to her face as well? and she wastalking, mouth to the coffee? During the time when we were eating, several fruit flies was flying around in the restaurant, oneof those on my plate? Also this place asked us to pay tips before we got any service! Hopefully this place returns to how goodthey were."

"We weren't greeted at the front counter for quite some time, even though we were next in line, which felt a bit off and somewhat impolite. I ordered a chocolate tart and an iced mocha latte. The tart seemed a bit old, but it tasted alright (as seen in the photo). Unfortunately, the drink was overfilled, and when I tried to add the straw, it overflowed, spilling on the lid and running down the sides of the cup. There seemed to be a lack of attention to detail. The French theme is quite charming, making it a decent spot to bring your kids and let them have a little fun. With some proper training and better management, this place could improve significantly. I'm giving one star for the acceptable latte and another star for the clean restroom."

"Edit: Returning recently, something really turned around here. The staff was 1000% better. The food was much faster and all great temp. Portions were improved, everything was tastey. Will be back to see if this improvement stays. Original review A huge disappointment from what used to be a great restaurant. After multiple visits to this location recently, I just can't see returning or recommending this place. The staff always seems to be in absolute chaos. Portions have shrunk to where you're lucky if they give you 3/4th of the cup for soups. The sandwich I got had 2 razor thin pieces of ham, that's it, and by the time it came out my thimble of soup was already cold. The tiny bit of flavor i could get was really great, and the bakery products are still worth take out but as a restaurant, Im really disappointed."

"Space is beautifully designed. Restaurant and bar are modern and quite sharp looking. Service was excellent. Manager was friendly and tried to be welcoming. That was the good. Now the not so good. Menu is quite frankly a bit weird. There are appetizers (the crab appetizer looks like tuna fish, tastes goopy and is awful), eggroll (tasted as if it was frozen and reheated. Entrees are in two categories: 1. A buffet where one selects proteins and vegetables to be cooked by a chef (sort of a Mongolian BBQ take) or 2. a shabu-shabu hot broth selection, where one chooses again either veggies or proteins to cook in a hot broth. The fresh bar/buffet was enjoyed by my co-diners, so no issue there. Unfortunately I chose the shabu-shabu with a vegetarian broth and mushrooms. The vegetarian broth actually looked like and tasted like dishwater. It was not fit for consumption. I simply ate the raw vegetables. There is a counter area with different types of sauces and seasonings, the idea being that patrons can make their own sauce for dipping the cooked shabu-shabu food. It’s entirely too much work with a less than stellar payoff; the concept of allowing diners to have “control” over their food and sauces seems admirable but here it simply is not executed that well."
