"Both my husband and I ordered the Chicken Yolanda, which is served with pasta. I specifically asked for linguine, and despite requesting that it be cooked thoroughly, it arrived al dente—too firm for my taste and difficult for me to digest. After finishing our main courses, we realized we never received the salad included with our meals. We had to ask for it, and it was served after we had already eaten.
When the bill came, I noticed a charge of $3.95 for seltzer water. I was taken aback since many restaurants do not charge for it. By the time you factor in tax and tip, that’s essentially $5 for sparkling water.
What really left a bad taste in our mouths was the service. Since the server forgot to bring the salad before our main dishes, and we were eating it afterward, Annie repeatedly came to our table to ask for payment. Despite seeing that we were still eating, she interrupted us a total of four times. Each time, we told her we weren’t ready to pay. On the fourth interruption, I expressed my frustration and asked her not to come back to our table until we were finished. She responded in a rather rude tone, saying “got it.”
We were quite put off by the experience, and I’m not sure we will be returning anytime soon, even as long-time patrons. To make matters worse, we discovered that they no longer offer the half-price special on Mondays, which was one of the reasons we enjoyed dining here.
I would rate this experience three stars because the food is good, but I would give only one star for the service."
