"Straight from California, arrived late to our hotel in Hampton Beach. Much anticipated experience of New England Coast fish n chips, and clam chowder... severely disappointed; Ordered delivery... tell-tale signs of what was to follow; #1 no napkins (ok, no biggy), #2 no salt/pepper (again, not a crime), #3 no utensils (um, the fish came with slaw, and I ordered chowder), and #4 and most important in my book, NO MALT VINEGAR. I shouldn't have to request it, but I did anyway. And still did not get it. SO,.. the food. The fish was decent, but I can't tell cuz I didn't get to eat it the way I like. But I can honestly say that the chain H. Salt Fish and Chips in the San Fernando valley of California is more geared toward British fish and chips than what I had here. But at least they were edible. But THE CHOWDER .. ? it was like a milky substance thickened with cornstarch with a little clam flavor sprinkled in, and a few chunks of potatoes. HORRIBLE!!! I took a few sips (remember, I did not receive any utensils), and I honestly threw it out. Thankfully, it was inexpensive. You know the old adage,... You get what you pay for. One girl's honest opinion."
