"Loco Moco [an island classic, white rice topped with a black angus beef patty, 2 sunny side up eggs, and brown gravy substituted with fruits] $16 Acai Bowl [house blend acai, banana, strawberries, blueberries, granola, honey, and dark chocolate] $15 Avocado Toast [2 pieces of sourdough toast topped with sliced avocado, garlic, everything bagel spice and a poached egg] $10 Guava Mimosa $8 water tower kitchen is definitely a really fun/cute brunch place. my friend and i randomly stumbled upon this spot about two years ago and that 's when i had tried the loco moco however, my only complaint was the fact that the beef patty was a bit too fried/too dark. in terms of sauce and eggs, i feel like it was cooked to how i like it and it wasn 't too overwhelming making it the blend with the rice so yummy. for the guava mimosa i didnt really enjoy it too much since i didnt really taste the guava juice so i wouldn 't recommend it for someone who enjoys sweeter drinks potentially other juice flavors may taste better. when i came back recently i tried the acai bowl and avocado toast because i wanted something more refreshing and less heavy for breakfast. the acai bowl may look a bit small but there 's actually a good serving proportion. combined with the avocado toast it was the perfect amount for me that day. id definitely will come back in the near future especially after trying the other items on the menu! if yall are in the area make sure to stop by : tip: kids/family/dates/friends friendly parking lot is a bit limited but there 's street parking nearby indoor and outdoor seating available"

"I've always wanted to try this place out, because of the historical history behind it. Started in 1948 as a simple lunch style restaurant with counter seating, serving iconic hamburgers, freshly ground daily. What more could you ask for?Located in Downtown Los Angeles, place was clean and decorated nicely in let's say modern 50's decor, missing was the old time counter, facing the open kitchen, watching the cooks preparing your meal, the waitress, running back and forth, serving the patrons seated at the counter. This place does have a counter with bar stools, but they're located up against a wall, opposite of the kitchen. The restaurant itself was built uniquely on a two level floor plan, small dining area immediately to the front, with stairs leading to the second level, where the kitchen and additional table are located. The outside was a different story, with homeless people wandering out on the sidewalk, a distinct odor slightly filled the air, but I won't tell you what the smell was...you'll thank me later!Looking at the menu while ordering, we knew this was going to be a little pricey, but we were ready for it. When we got the final cost for 3 people, it ran close to $70, roughly about $20 to $24 dollars per person, just depending on what you add on to your burger and sides and drinks that you choose. The burgers were top notch, you can tell the meat was of high quality, freshly grounded, fries and onion rings was good. Everything tasted great, just wished that the burgers were a little larger to satisfy our hunger and to justify the high price. Other items on their menu were breakfast items, chicken, pies and shakes. Employees were extremely nice and helpful.I myself would definitely come back from time to time, but if you're on a budget, or a penny pincher, then this place is probably not the best choice for you."
