"Their service was horrible I had a knee problem and it was raining so I ordered curbside pick up I called them they asked me to come in, when I went in bald guy asked me for my phone to show him my order I had forgot it in my car cuz I was frustrated due to a pain, I had to go back out walk to Sunoco get my phone so I did and I put it on top of the table so he could see it, but he was like I can not touch your phone pick it up and show me so I did and he couldn’t see it cuz I was little bit far from him cuz he was whining about covid and I stood 6ft from him, then he grabbed my phone and started looking closer. I’m sure their food is good but service wise they suck."

"This is a fantastic spot to enjoy drinks with friends or family. They offer both indoor and outdoor bar areas, complete with a lovely view of the river. During my visit, there was a live band, and although it attracted a good crowd, there was still plenty of space to move around comfortably. If you're interested in taking something home, they also have a separate building featuring a wide selection of packaged drinks. I highly recommend visiting on a nice day or evening to fully appreciate the atmosphere and have a great night out. I will definitely return the next time I get the chance, as it’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a drink."

"When we arrived, there were some very loud individuals outside smoking, and one of them looked particularly unkempt, which was quite off-putting. Inside, the ambiance was still reminiscent of a VFW hall, making it feel less family-friendly and more geared towards bar patrons. The burgers were just average; the meat lacked seasoning and flavor. We opted to pay extra to substitute fries instead of the standard chips that come with the burger, but honestly, they weren’t worth the additional cost. For the prices they charge, fries should be included with the burger. The spinach and artichoke dip was also overpriced for what it was and wasn't anything special either. Overall, there’s nothing noteworthy about this place. We won’t be returning—our experience was not worth our time or the nearly $100 we spent. What a letdown!"

"Bregr eating is great! the artichoke bisque was absolutely fabulous- even my year old loved it! the tables are so close to each other that they feel like eating with strangers, as they can hear any word of the surrounding table talks. it was a Friday night and they were very busy, so maybe they had extra table setup?"

"Our dining experience at Phoebe's was fantastic! We were seated near a window, surrounded by cozy plants, which added to the ambiance of the restaurant. "We were excited to try Macados for the first time for lunch today. We were seated immediately and given menus but no one ever came to get a drink order, etc. After about 15 minutes I walked up and told the hostess no one had been to our table yet and she said she would remind them. We waited 5 more minutes and nothing so we left. Terrible service! If you are understaffed just let the customers know so they can expect a wait."

"If you want to drink, ann is the best bartender. the menu is huge. my man and I always get the hindenburg when it is half pric on special. the sandwich is enormous and really good. the big daddy sandwich is probably the best sandwich I've ever eaten. it is a really big part of steak. the crazy chris wrap is good, but not enough huh in the wrap. the mushroom burger was not the best, but also not the worst, but I will not order it again. I ordered it medium and it tasted just burned and tasted as if there was something missing. I also tried the spinat and artichoke dip while it was on special. too much sour. apfelbäpfe has it in any case best on the jump"

"The host was taking a list of names for seating but instead of using the list and seating people in order of check-in, he chose to seat the people who were standing closest to the dining area. When we asked the host to seat people based on the order of check-in he got visibly irritated. He then apologized to the people standing closest to the dining area for having to seat the people who were waiting longest first. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive however, and the burgers were great."

"We usually eat at Carolina Tavern every month or two when we?re looking for something different from our usual local hangouts. It seems the last few times we?ve been that the service tends to get a little worse each time. Why we continue to keep returning is beyond me. Tonight seemed to be going good the first five minutes or so. We got our drinks pretty quickly and our order was taken really fast as well. I ordered the salad bar as my 2nd side item and finally had to go ask for a salad bowl after our server never returned. I retrieved my own silverware for the table, as that was never brought as promised either. Finally after a very long wait, and listening to another table complain about the hour spent waiting for their food, our food finally arrived, or some of it at least, delivered by another server. Our server never once came to check to see if we needed anything, or to see that my husband never received his meal, that my side was missing, or that my son was out of water. Nothing, never saw her. She was completely mia for 7-8 minutes and then when she resurfaced, she spent her time hugging one of the patrons at the bar. The only 2 tables she appeared to have were the two that waited forever for food. Then a manager came over and did apologize and said she would do what she could to discount our meal. She then added that the owner was on site and that she would try to talk to him but ?he really doesn?t like to hear me complain? ????? The owner never came by to discuss anything and she returned with our check, and our meal being discounted $12. I appreciate the discount and never asked for that. I would have rather had the owner at least come by to talk to us. We will now knock this one off of our list to ever give another chance. The owner doesn?t care enough to even give you 5 minutes of his time."

"We had one of the best servers I've ever had tonight. He was amazing never let our drinks get half empty, I could go on.... they play good music, family atmosphere but also has a nice bar that seemed to be busy and fun. The food is priced good. 8-10 bucks ave plate. Sandwhich burger type of place and the food is good fresh and huge amount of food... I've been here a few times never been disappointed. I recommend as casual dining, with fair prices."

"I would’ve given the place 5 stars if it wasn’t for the horrible service we had. The waitress (Heather) came and didn’t even say hello or anything, she just went straight at it, took our drink orders, came back slammed the cups on the table and left… by the time she took our order we had already finished our drinks, we sat there waiting for our food drinkless. Our food came… now that deserved a 5 star on its own. Food was delicious, props to the cooks! Steaks and burgers were perfectly cooked and it had great flavor. My husband asked for some jalapeños, that never came… we ate half of our meal with still no drinks, until we were almost done eating she showed up again to ask if we wanted more drinks???We finished and sat there for a bit longer, overheard a nearby table telling another table the food is great here, but the service is not. I guess it sums it up right there…. We might come back just because of the food, hopefully we will have better luck with a different waitress!!"

"I went there to watch the Bucs game that wasn't playing locally, and even though they have many TVs, they only had the game on one TV the smallest TV in the place. When I asked if them to put on a bigger screen, they refused, even though there was another large party there that wanted to see the same game. When I asked for the manager, apparently that person wasn't on duty and the only manager was barmaid person serving the bar, who made me wait when I was standing at the bar for 10 minutes to get service. She refused my request stating that the TVs were pre-programmed for what game or horse race or golf tournament that was playing. I have never been to a sports bar that refused a request for a game to be put on. Also, they had an outdoor patio but no TVs on it. Back home all our sports bars have TVs on their outdoor patios. I was very disappointed because I paid for an Uber to go to a Sports Bar just to watch the Bucs game."

"This place is so weird and so wonderful, and as a tourist visiting Memphis for a few days, I am so happy to have found it. The menu is expansive, covering all sorts of odd cuisine — soul food, tamales, wild rice dishes, burgers, etc. There is a children’s menu with a great deal. And then the dessert! Jake’s Original Hot Fudge Pie is so damn perfect that I ordered a second, and I’ll just pretend my kid helped me eat most of it. How that brownie or whatever chocolate wonder sticks to the plate like that is a mystery I will not stop contemplating anytime soon."

"I used to order food from this restaurant for years, but something has changed. The quality has significantly decreased. I asked for a replacement salad after being a loyal customer for years, and got into an argument with the woman because she refused. I have probably spent around $5,000 at this location on food for both myself and my friends and family. There may have been a change in management or ownership, but the restaurant is not the same as it used to be, especially in the last few months."
