"it was a terrible experience. I called the restaurant a day before to make sure that vegetarian options are available without garlic and truffle oil and I was told. When we arrived there, we were told that all vegetarian dishes have garlic and everything they can give me is afteros. the cook refused to accept us, which is completely unacceptable. we had already ordered the drinks so that we decided to stay back and I asked to make queen with spinat, red paprika or another sweetheart they had, but instead I got the one with cheese and jalapeños only. I felt bad about the server when she was very nice, but she couldn't do anything. it looks like eating is not fresh, as all the different vegetable side options have already been cooked, which is surprising with the price they demand. noise level with the time was too high and it was impossible to talk. next we parked both our cars in the garage that recommend them and validate for 3 hours. but at the time we were frustrated, we were both calculated for the parking space for $11. this is a more complete place and please be aware as they are not even close to what they advertise. I never had this bad experience at any place in my life."

"Upon our first visit, we admittedly had no idea what to expect. The restaurant's interior was simple and clean, nothing extravagant. However, the food was outstanding. We kicked things off with fresh and crispy wings, lightly battered and served with sauce on the side - some of the best wings we've ever had. The beef nachos that followed were equally impressive, with homemade crunchy tortilla chips topped with just the right amount of jalapeños, beans, sour cream, and cheese. For our main dishes, we tried soft taco with chicken, burritos, and fajitas, all of which were delicious. The grilled steak with shrimp stood out, with the steak being slightly overcooked but still flavorful, and the shrimp grilled to perfection. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and will definitely be returning soon. We highly recommend this restaurant, as the prices are reasonable and you can enjoy beer or freshly made juices along with your meal."

"Another spot I haven't dropped a review for. So, here goes ... Another spot on Washington. This time close to the corner of Washington and Midway. A block west of Overland. Nothing but street parking unless you want to walk from the shopping plaza. Meter enforcement stops at 6. The restaurant is pretty small. However, there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Not a fan of sitting outside though, as it's on the sidewalk, not an enclosed patio so lots of people walking by. Not to mention the cars exhaust and noise. Service has been hit and miss, but mostly hit otherwise, I likely wouldn't have come back as much as I have. I won't go into the miss so I'll just say that each time I've dined here, it's been after work, meaning dinner rush. So, the staff were busy, but still friendly and nice enough. I didn't include attentive as the place is small enough that anyone can just catch someone's attention by just turning your head towards the counter/kitchen or staff. I've enjoyed all the dishes I've had here. See pics. A few dishes I felt the portion size was a little lacking but it definitely made up in taste. The pasta dishes I've ordered all came out to my liking, just a little al dente. Meat temperatures were never beyond medium and I really enjoy the bread and Aji Verde. The sauce isn't as spicy as I love, but still good enough that I have to refrain from eating too much before the entree is served. I just wish they served cocktails. Overall, I like Lonzo's and I'm sure I'll be back for more."

"The food at this restaurant is fantastic, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The South American cuisine is truly excellent—I particularly loved the chicken cheese cachapas. Unfortunately, the waitstaff was quite lacking. When we requested water at the table, the waiter would only bring a glass for one person and then would vanish for 30 to 45 minutes. Even when we asked for water for everyone, he would still only bring one additional glass to the table. It was quite perplexing."

"The food was good but the service was so BAD!!!! I went here today for brunch and the restaurant wasn’t even full!! My waitress didn’t even us utensils or napkins!! She even forgot our food. She didn’t check up on us. She didn’t even clear some plates so we have room to eat. The natural lemonade is too sour. The sugar doesn’t do anything to the drink!!! I always get their food but this time I sat in the place to eat. I’m not unsatisfied with the service but the food was good. Me and my dad were very disappointed in this restaurant!! The lady even put 15% for tip which added like $20 to our bill. Her service was so bad I can’t even explained it!!"

"We lived in Peru, and Don Churro has very wellprepared and tasty Peruvian food. Everything was fresh and right off the stove hot, and my wife said the Pisco Sour was delicious. We didn't try the actual churros as the food proportions were very generous with an appetizer you could split an entree, but they looked great at the next table. There was a live singer accompanied by generated music, but he was pretty good and very entertaining, but not so loud as to drown out conversation"

"We?ve been to a lot of Brazilian steak houses and our visit here fell short. We were seated and handed a drink menu that was dirty and had something spilled over half of it. My husband put his hand on the chair to pull it in and was surprised to realize that he had stuck his hand in gum. The salad bar was decent. We had to ask for the cheese rolls because none were given to us. We were told it?d be 30 minutes?50 minutes went by and we still didn?t have any so I askedagain. I was told 5-10 more minutes. A manager then came by a little later just to check in and I mentioned we were still waiting on the rolls. She comes back and tells us 5 more minutes because there?s oven issues. After an hour total ofasking for them, the rolls came out and tasted undercooked. The gauchos were very nice. The meat in general was OK but all the chicken was over cooked/dry. The teriyaki steak was good. The server appeared to be doing the whole place byherself. We went spans of time without refills and when she dropped them off she?d set it down very quickly then scurry off. I feel like she was nicest to us when handing us the check. I?m not a stickler but we go out to be treated and havea nice time. And when I?m spending $145 on a meal I expect to be satisfied and we were not. We?ve had better experiences at other locations."

"Wow, the value you get here is really poor! The prices are high and the quality of the food is low. We were actually laughing when we received our food and couldn't believe that the bill was $15. The fact that they charge an extra $2 for yucca on a combo meal that is supposed to come with two sides is ridiculous. And even worse, they only gave us FIVE pieces of yucca for the extra $2. It's pretty sad. Additionally, they forgot my side of yucca and promised to bring it to me soon, but never did. I had to ask for a refund for the yucca I never received. As others have mentioned, the portion control for sauces here is strict. Guapo’s, it's all about the sauce. It used to be great when you could get sauce anytime you wanted, but now they seem to be intentionally trying to irritate customers for money. The price gouging at this restaurant is clear. I'll give it two stars for tasting decent and having a clean dining area. However, the value and service are a zero. I probably won't be returning here."

"White people clearly aren 't welcome here. Been ordering from here for years. We usually use Door Dash because going into this place is very uncomfortable, to say the least. I always tip my drivers higher when I order from here because of the way this business conducts itself. I ended up picking up from them myself on Saturday night and I won 't be returning or ordering from them again. I ordered over the phone and when I got there they had charged me for a meal that was $5 more than what I ordered. I didn 't even say anything because I didn 't want to wait around in that sketchy place for them to remake my meal (luckily, sorta, they gave me the right meal, but just charged me for a more expensive one). The music was blasting so loud the girls behind the counter probably wouldn 't have been able to hear me (or understand me) anyway. I 've been there before where the girl behind the counter was so drunk she could barely stand and couldn 't understand that I was there to pick up an order. While I was waiting to get my change the obnoxiously drunk men that always seem to leech onto these places were loudly running their mouths about me in Spanish while sitting next to what I believe is either the owner or the manager. Don 't worry El Rio, this puta gringa won 't be back."

"After arriving at Newark Airport around lunchtime, we decided to visit the nearby historic Ironbound District for some Portuguese food. Based on the reviews, we decided to try Sabor Unido and we 're really glad we did. The food, service and the warm, friendly, family vibe were all fantastic. We enjoyed grilled sea bass and squid, both of which were excellent and perfectly prepared as were our sides of mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and fried yucca! Our server, Letitia, was lovely and professional, and we had the chance to chat for a few minutes with the owners, who treated us like regulars. Just an all around great experience! We will definitely be back the next time we 're in town. Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant ASAP!!!"

"I had never tried rodizio before in my life, but I have to say it was the best experience! From the waitresses to the food, everything was excellent. I disagree with the comments about the rodizio not coming around enough; I felt like they were constantly bringing meat to our table. The meat was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating, but I had to make room for more! The drinks and dessert were also amazing, especially the tiramisu cake. I will definitely be back!"

"One of the slowest service restaurants I can recall in some time. They claim to open at 12 for customers but asked our party of 5 to wait 10 minutes to start. the brunch menu was very limited and we were told that we could not offer off the dinner menu with a long wait. While we got our drink orders on time we waited 45 minutes for 2 omelettes, one beef stew, one crabcake egg benedict,etc ... none of the food served hot nor simultaneously. And the place was empty. I would only return for dinner perhaps- but not for brunch again as better service and value in a diner."

"I was thrilled when we found the restaurant had moved from 9th ave to 10th Ave. There were 3 of us for holiday celebration. Two of us had arrived half an hour early they gave us the option on the bar or our table. We sat at the table. We had caipirinhas to drink fantastic as I remember. We have Pao de Quejio Coxihna and Bolinho de Bacalhau. look them up on the menu so worth it Main course Fejioada for two was spectacular and huge portions. I had the Chicken in Okra it is my favorite dish and yet I eat a lot of beef . the dish is so flavorful, I should had ordered another one to go I loved it. The bartender/ waitress was so enjoyable and easy going . The other waiters gave great service. The restaurant isn't on the main strip but so worth it, we've already made a reservation for our next outing with them"

"This is my first time ever putting in a review on any restaurant because this was that ridiculous. A $9 burger that was unseasoned, a frozen patty that took them five minutes to assemble, they charge $4 for a small portion of frozen fries that were equally unseasoned. I’m all about supporting local businesses, but this was just crazy. I know it’s not their expertise, but still shouldn’t charge that much if this is the quality of food that is given. For $14 I could’ve spent a fraction of that at McDonald’s to receive the the same if not better quality food with a drink! For that I could’ve gone anywhere else to receive a fresh beef patty and fresh cut fries."

"I had a wonderful dining experience at Picnic Seafood Grill yesterday with my sister. We enjoyed a delicious meal before heading out to do some bakery and window shopping on Ferry St. The atmosphere was great, the decor tasteful, and the staff were incredibly attentive. I ordered the tasty salmon with rice and black beans, and it was absolutely delicious. I wanted to order more, but unfortunately, we had to rush off after finishing our meal. "My group and I had a really great brunch here! I highly recommend it was good atmosphere, good food, and really reasonable pricing.
