"My wife and I have dined at Kona Grill regularly for the last 5 years. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the food as well as the location of this restaurant located not to far from our home in Indianapolis, IN. Over the last 2 years our reviews of this establishment have unfortunately shifted towards the negative. Tonight 's incident was the last straw. We were seated at a table that shined of sticky spills from the group before and greeted by a waiter who had no business occupying this profession. We ordered our usual and had to help ourselves throughout the meal for various items such as chop sticks and a box for our left-over sushi. As we made our exit my wife asked our waiter for the box we had left at the table, his response was tell your boyfriend thanks. When she asked what he was referring to he responded, Is that so hard? Tell your boyfriend thanks. She was handed an empty box and immediately asked for a manager. She explained the confusion to the manager, the waiter walked by and started laughing loudly as if to make a point. The manager responded to my wife I will try to handle this later but I cant just stand here and mediate between you and one of my employees. My wife met my friend and I outside the restaurant in tears. We had no idea the events had taken place. It is not my place to evaluate the management changes that have happened to this restaurant in the last 2 years but one thing is for sure, due to a mixture of embarrassment and frustration we will not be returning."
