"A week ago, I got a pasta dish here and ended up getting sick from it. Today, my coworkers wanted to order pizza, so we placed a simple order: half with bacon and pepperoni with light sauce, and the other half with tomato, olives, and spinach. When the pizza arrived, the entire pie was loaded with bacon and pepperoni. We called them, and they made a new pizza, but they still didn’t add the olives, and instead of fresh tomatoes, they put a strange tomato sauce on top. After giving them two chances within an hour, it felt like they were more interested in being difficult than providing good customer service. You could tell the first pizza was fresh, but the remake seemed like a “we don’t have time for you” pizza. I was willing to give them a second chance after getting sick from the pasta, but after three attempts, I won’t be coming back."

"Every time I go to North Carolina, I make it a point to take my family to this restaurant for a meal. Unfortunately, during this visit, the food did not meet the high standards I've come to expect. If there’s a new chef in charge, they definitely need more training. The service was good, but the food was quite disappointing. I paid for my meal, but to be honest, it felt like I should have been compensated for the lackluster food I received. I rated them 3 stars primarily for the service, and the restaurant itself was clean."

"After giving us only the options of 7:15 or 7:45, not 7:30 as we wanted. When we arrived for our 7:15 reservation they kept us waiting half an hour. Although they were apologetic, they did not offer us a free after dinner coffee or any other sort of tangible apology. That kind of service does not encourage a return visit. The rest of the service was good, other than the waiter trying to suggest the Dom Perignon Champagne for $350 (he didn't tell us the price)."

"I've known about this place for a while and wanted to give it a try. My wife and l went today for lunch. Walked in, place was dead. Granted it was 3: 00pm on a Tuesday, but staff was lounging in almost all the seating area and l found it unprofessional.But, they quickly dispersed as we entered and decided to sit down for lunch. Waitress came over and brought one menu, told usmore menus were on the salt and pepper condiment holder. Menu was colorful but somewhat confusing to understand. As thewaitresses found her cell phone was more entertaining than taking our order. I got up and told her she can put in a 14-in cheesepie. Food took a while and came out a bit overcooked, oily and somewhat crunchy. We're not the type to complain, but ourwaitress was again too busy with her cell phone to find out if we needed any refills on our beverages, I even had to get upagain and ask her for the check. Place could use a little reconditioning, dining room is extremely dated and in minimaldisrepair. Would have liked staff to be a little more friendly and attentive, but again it was a Tuesday afternoon in the middleof the day. So, maybe they cheer up when the Sun goes down. Who knows. Paid cash and left more than a fair tip. Was hoping for abetter experience and better food. You live and learn Had the waitress been a little more attentive, and the pizza not beovercooked and oily. "Wow, where do I start. I rented the downstairs private club for My Wife’s 30th birthday. Talal Zaiter the owner was absolutely amazing to me and my guests. He was there from the beginning to the end and continuously was asking me what he could do to make the night even better than it was. The food that I ordered was amazing and the service I received was top notch. I am very happy that I chose this location for such a monumental moment in my wife’s life. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will for sure be back for dinner. When I throw another event and I want it to be perfect I will be calling Talal back�"

"So I made a reservation for 2 on Wednesday 1/10 for a first date. I even called to confirm that 8:30 wouldn’t be too busy so we could talk and not have to yell. When I arrive to the restaurant...it was complete closed. All the lights were off and the door was locked. There was no signage saying that they were going to be closed early. It was incredibly embarrassing showing up for a first date and the restaurant was closed. We found somewhere else to eat but would’ve at least expected a call or an email saying they would be closed...sadly won’t be going back."

"Stopped here for a quick lunch and sat outside. The inside upper level seems to be popular as you have a view of the bay but we didn't realize that til we went to use the bathroom. The place is huge. Staff were friendly and nice, food was mediocre. We got a crab melt sandwich, fish and chips and a whole cold Dungeness crab. Sandwich and fish/chips wasn't too bad and came quickly. The cold whole Dungeness however smelled old and didn't taste great, that ammonia smell when seafood is old? For the $35 price tag definitely not worth it. We told the server and they then brought back another crab but this one was roasted and came doused in a butter garlic sauce so all you could taste was the sauce. The one piece I tried still had a strong ammonia smell. And later my hubby had a stomach ache for the next 2 days til it was out of his system. We should have walked a little further down where they had a lot more people and fresh seafood options maybe 25 yds away. So probably would not come back here for the food."

"The combo appitizer was ok. Calamari slightly overcooked and w/o tentacles which was my favorite part of calamari : . Cheesestick was good but there were only 2 pieces. Shrimp was nice a big but only 2 pieces so not quite enough for group of 5. Bread was excellent! The Red fish was the popular dish as 3 out of 5 of us got it and it was delicious! The veal and lobster ravioli dishes were excellent as well. Will have to come back to try other dishes."

"Food is really good but service was horrible. Waitress was quite ditzy and failed to tell us one of our order tickets were not seen and they started on it late. Instead, brought the plates out and just left my husband sitting there without any communication of where his food was. No refills, no extra napkins, she continued to forget to even bring anything we’d ask for. She was so slow at bringing drinks, then super slow to bring the food once she’d remember, and she sat there in La la land the entire time. Only reason we’d return is because the food was good. Service, not so much. By time that missed ticket came out, we had finished eating and my husband had to just take his plate home. Still , no communication as time went on about his order."

"We decided to try this restaurant for the first time since we had a coupon, and it’s hard to resist getting two pizzas and a dozen garlic knots for just $32. The sauce is outstanding—packed with flavor and a blend of spices you can really appreciate. "We have been dining in and taking out from Anthony?s for years. Saturday November 13th we ate here at the request of my daughter. The dining room was not busy. It was about 5PM. We sat down quickly. The server came over quickly and took our drink order and recommended the garlic knots which we love here. When she returned with the drinks we ordered. Nothing crazy?. Baked pasta, spaghetti and a sandwich. The garlic knots literally took about 30 minutes to come out. The rest of the food took almost an hour. The pasta and spaghetti were great. The sandwich no so great. We asked the server about the meat portion on the sandwich which you can see in the pic. We were told that?s how it?s made and if we wanted an extra order of cheese steak we?d have to pay for it. My wife suggested that due to the wait time maybe we would be comped the extra order of cheese steak for the crazy long wait. The server said sorry we had a lot of to go orders. That was the end of that. I don?t get it. We weren?t asking for our bill to be comped for the ridiculous wait, just a little more meat on the sandwich. Instead of cheese steak I got cheese bread. Normally I would give Anthony?s 5 stars. The food is always great. But on this day, the customer service was not so great."

"SAm Gabes is BACK! Friday night the room was full, and very loud. Live music in the bar, but couldn 't hear it the main room was really loud. Asiago crusted halibut was great as of old. Italian nachos have an interesting spice (remember when pizza had sprinkled Italian seasoning on top? . House sausage, white sauce and LOTS of cheese. Filling for two. Everyone seems to be having a good time. They are trying really, really hard to re create the Talarico experience, to the point of getting the old recipes. If you 're looking for intimate, quiet come during the week. There was a UGE single talbe party in the back room. and two large and loud groups in the main dining room. But we are there for the food."
