"So I made a reservation for 2 on Wednesday 1/10 for a first date. I even called to confirm that 8:30 wouldn’t be too busy so we could talk and not have to yell. When I arrive to the restaurant...it was complete closed. All the lights were off and the door was locked. There was no signage saying that they were going to be closed early. It was incredibly embarrassing showing up for a first date and the restaurant was closed. We found somewhere else to eat but would’ve at least expected a call or an email saying they would be closed...sadly won’t be going back."

This restaurant is no longer in operation. It has been replaced by a pop-up restaurant called Hamsa.

The restaurant is closed, out of business, and completely unreachable—there's no phone line, nothing at all.

This place is clearly going down hill. Food it cheap and cheap tasting. I bet they are not going to last much longer. View menu

I met an old friend for a long and leisurely lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The food was great. A burger for my friend and a chicken club pita for me. But each was prepared with care and skill. They were each a real meal and an excellent meal. Service was wonderful. Espresso was great. The bar is superior. It's a real neighborhood gem.

We showed up at 7:30 on a Wednesday and they were basically out of food. They have a limited menu to begin with and out of 4 main course they were out of 2 both fish options) ! The big items on the menu include burgers and salmon burgers. They were out of the salmon burgers! We ended up leaving because not everyone in our party could find something to eat!

Sometimes you're just in the mood for a great burger and a stiff drink. We went to B&G around 6:30 PM, still during their happy hour. Drinks were two for one. Appetizers were half price. Their guacamole was spectacular. I can't wait to have it again. The drinks, Manhattans for me, martinis for my spouse, were expertly crafted. We weren't in the mood for fries so we were given a wonderful Israeli salad instead. The burgers were great. Total bill was under $100. Service is excellent. View menu

Every good restaurant has an off-night. We've had a dozen meals at Barley and Grain and finally had a bad one. The Sazeracs were unduly acid (I doubt that they used the usual rye. and the martinis didn't have the elderflower garnish. The guacamole was incredibly spicy and the steakbits, usually great, were tough and chewy. The waiter never realized that he spilled my sister's salad's dressing on me. The hamburger meat was unusually fatty. I think this was just an off-night and we'll be back soon.

Despite the lengthy wait for our food, which was understandable since we were informed in advance that it would take about an hour, I was disappointed with my experience. My friend's order was incorrect, and they also waited an hour for their two eggs cooked medium. I ordered steak and eggs, but my steak came out raw. The management was polite and explained that they were understaffed, but if I have to wait an hour for my meal, I expect it to be done correctly. My child is traumatized from this experience, and I'm still hungry. No thanks.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
