"The Salmon Don was like butter. You’d be hard pressed to find a better cut of salmon. It’s marbled with fat and always spectacular! The soft shell crab roll was a bit too creamy. Overpowering. Simply add some fresh ginger and wasabi to elevate to acceptable. Love atmosphere and ambiance at Blu Fish! Great for date night! Looking forward to reviewing more dishes!"

"The food was fantastic, but unfortunately, the service was lacking in communication amongst the staff. It took over 20 minutes for someone to come to my table and another 15 minutes to get my drink. My food arrived before my cocktail, leading to a disappointing experience with the staff, who seemed disorganized. With so many great sushi options available, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but I would recommend getting takeout. The food was well-prepared and presented nicely."

"I like crowd, good eating, fun place, great outsight on hb, the phrase energetic for noise, I would say wrong, it is very loud, not a quiet, romantic place at all, especially since the bar is right next to the main dining area. we had difficulty hearing the server and each other, it was a Saturday night, very busy and packed. we are local, so we understand. a thing that annoyed me was that a kerl smoked a zigarre in the courtyard, right in front of the dining room that opened doors, so that no possibility to avoid the smell. I don't understand why someone would smoke a cigar near people. I don't know what politics is in smoking, they were out, near the people who eat."

"We were there for the Stylistics show and it was great!! We reserved premiere seating, but I think anywhere in the theatre would have been great as well for less . For dinner, my husband ordered the kakiage tempura and the togarashi pork chop and both were outstanding choices. I ordered the Gindara miso marinated black cod (highly recommended by our waiter) as my main entree and it didn't disappoint. The cod was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Overall, I give Yoshis a 5star."

"Good authentic Japanese food with high end options like Wagyu beef. Servers are dressed in Japanese outfits. Ours was sweet but was new to English. It was a bit too noisy for us yet we were in what they called a quiet booth . The booths give you a bit more privacy. I hate to think how noisy it might have been if we 'd been in the regular open area. It was Wednesday night 7pm the place was packed! Also they gave our daughter a free birthday green tea ice cream with a candle. Very nice. I only wish they do Aburi sushi options like Miku. They 've been in Toronto for decades. Excellent service. Thank you for a lovely evening!"

"Loved! The food was amazing, we told the waiter what we were looking to eat and he pretty much picked out our meal. It was awesome! We’ve been there numerous times and wanted to mix it up. He was so personable and knowledgeable about the menu. The ONLY complaint I have with the location is the backless chairs. It’s hard to eat on a stool. Other than that, gorgeous restaurant."

"A friend recommended it, and I am so glad they did! This was a treat for my daughter 's birthday, and good sushi is one food my adult children can agree on. My son was leary because this was our first time here, but was quickly impressed by the atmosphere and service. This was soon overtaken by the quality of the sushi itself. The fish was fresh, and presentation on point! The entire experience was enhanced with the occasional complemtary, sample selections served, the complimentary birthday dessert, and balloon blossom presented to my daughter just for mentioning we were celebrating! Kid-friendliness: My children have grown up as sushi lovers. I started them with less challenging, veggie, and cooked options early. There were several families with children of ALL ages while we were there enjoying themselves. There are lots of menu options to choose from and balloon swoards for the asking!"

"Cute place but definitely overpriced.Came in with my partner for her birthday. I don't eat hot pot so I was just planning on getting sushi. The roll options are relatively limited but that wasn't the issue. Our server only allowed for us to order one roll even though there were 2 of us and I said I only wanted sushi no hot pot.Fine, I can just order one at a time cause my partner didn't want a whole lot of sushi and there was a belt of options to pick from. Except all the sushi (other than nigiri) on the belt had cucumber. I'm allergic to cucumber so I couldn't take those and the roll I ordered had to be sent back cause it had cucumber in it even though the menu didn't state it. When I mentioned it the server was like oh yeah our menu is wrong some times.At the end of it I only ate 1.5 rolls, some gyoza and 8 pieces of nigiri. Our tab came out to just shy of 100$ for 2 people. And u wasn't even full.Overall it's a cute place though and my partner had a good time, which was the most important thing c: I liked the little train that brings you your sushi. Just go there expecting to get full off of hot pot and I think it would be a good time."

We came for brunch and ordered plenty of things including the barawine brunch sandwich, croque madame,Caesar salad, hummus, chocolate lava cake, etc. it was all decent but it just wasn’t anything special when there are so manyother amazing restaurants in the area. I also think it is slightly overpriced. This is a good spot if you need a quick bite toeat for brunch or drinks but I wouldn’t expect anything exceptional."

"Lovely time with friends celebrating a big birthday! Spent about 15 minutes at the bar which was fine esp since a table opened up right there. Delicious cocktails and premium wines. The food was inventive takes on standard fare along with new dishes. My friend had a chicken curry that had very little rice, it was mostly curry sauce in a big soup bowl. They brought us extra rice without a blip. This is not an inexpensive place, but you are getting excellent cuisine in a lovely space. Be sure to make reservations — Friday night was packed!"

"Even my hard-to-please gourmet brother-in-law was impressed with the food. We started with Sake, but the first option they suggested was unavailable. However, we were satisfied with the Plum Wine that we ended up getting. We shared various dishes, including King Crab Sunomono, Sweet Potato Tempura, Asparagus Beef Roll, Ginger Chicken Roll, Gyoza, Soft Shell Crab, Moromi Grilled Sea Bass, Tamari Seafood Pancake, and Miso Soup. The only disappointment was the Tuna Tataki Small Plate, as it was rather bland compared to the other dishes. The presentation of the food was beautifully artistic and perfect for photos. While the prices were on the higher side, they do accept coupons and participate in Open Table dining points. We were surprised to find an extra charge for dressing for the salad greens. Our bill totaled over $200 for four people, and the desserts, though delicious, were a bit pricey at $8 each. The waitress received praise even for the plain water, which was surprisingly tasty. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, making for an overall pleasant dining experience."

"This was our second time at Thea, taking our son and his wife. They ordered the arancini since she's from Tuscany, and even with her high bar, they loved it. My wife had the pasta with seafood and really enjoyed it . Our son had ordered the veal Milanese but missed the last one, so chose the chicken Milanese and gave it high marks. We shared an orange cheesecake and coffee, all of which were generous and very flavorful. The only glitch in service was they were short of chilled white wine "buckets", so we ad libbed with good old ice around the (byob) bottle. Otherwise, our server and trainee took great care of us."

"So I made a reservation for 2 on Wednesday 1/10 for a first date. I even called to confirm that 8:30 wouldn’t be too busy so we could talk and not have to yell. When I arrive to the restaurant...it was complete closed. All the lights were off and the door was locked. There was no signage saying that they were going to be closed early. It was incredibly embarrassing showing up for a first date and the restaurant was closed. We found somewhere else to eat but would’ve at least expected a call or an email saying they would be closed...sadly won’t be going back."

"The Fresh Fish Co is always fantastic! We have never had to wait beyond 5 minutes for a table. Our request to sit by an aquarium is always met without fail. The lady and gentleman at the welcome check-in are ALWAYS very welcoming, efficient and high class. This was a celebration of our 33rd wedding anniversary. The gentleman who served us was very attentive and recommended entrees that we ordered. We were not disappointed in any manner. We have been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years and it's always the same. High quality service, food and delightful. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone."
