"This place is decent! It is a very generic restaurant in my opinion. It’s clean and a decent space but the food is extremely basic and standard. We came for brunch and ordered plenty of things including the barawine brunch sandwich, croque madame,Caesar salad, hummus, chocolate lava cake, etc. it was all decent but it just wasn’t anything special when there are so manyother amazing restaurants in the area. I also think it is slightly overpriced. This is a good spot if you need a quick bite toeat for brunch or drinks but I wouldn’t expect anything exceptional."

They were out of many wines. They also closed early due to slow business that night (a rainy Tuesday)

My first time at Barawine. I was not disappointed! Suggested this restaurant to my date and we both ended the date on a high note. The music was jumping, the servers was excellent with bringing us our selections and ambiance was perfect. Glad O went toBarawine on date night.

Barawine had a better meal a year ago. eating is not good bark tar was bad quality and cloby like dog meat instead of smooth, escargot was oily, not buttery and tasteless with little garlic or crumble. the shrimp appetizer was rubbery and the server was unpleasant, never smiling or back to see how our meal was.

I was in barawine several times. I live in the opposite and running of the years it has not really improved. the restaurant itself is bad whether that is because the owner no longer wants to offer support for the personal or if the personal is generally not very attentive, but the service is slow. eating is okay, not great, not terrible. the best part is that the vibe in the front, where the wine is very beautiful. the music is also very good View menu

Great neighborhood spot. Excellent bar, good seating indoors and outdoors. Huge portions. Had the beet salad which was almost a meal in itself. It was a weeknight so the restaurant was quiet and I could actually hear my dinner companions speak.LOL. Lovely service from Dottie, our waitperson, who was very attentive. Prices are not cheap and averaged out to $100/pp for a salad appetizer, entree, and 2 Happy Hour drinks. But that's post-covid life...

The food and wine are really good but the service is deplorable. Simple matters like water, drink orders and even getting orders correct is a challenge. We waited almost 30 minutes from being seated to placing drink orders. I had to physically go ask the waiter if he'd take our order. I love the food and ambiance, one huge downside is the entire restaurant smelled like old fish grease and was super smokey. Our eyes were watering and it was hard to see with the smoke. My clothes, coat, and hair still smell like fried fish.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
