"I was in the process of moving from my airport hotel to the Gaylord, and I needed lunch. Living in Los Angeles, I love Thai food, and Thai Riverside seemed to tick all the logistical boxes, so off I went with my luggage. I was greeted warmly and told to sit anywhere I'd like there were already a few tables seated and once I parked myself at a table, I opted for Pad Thai. Frankly, I wasn't sure I was wildly hungry, and I wanted something easy. While Pad Thai isn't typically a spicy dish so I wasn't quite sure what a spicy version might be like I opted for mild but with dried chili on the side so that I could control the spice level. I think that's always the right choice at an unfamiliar restaurant, especially when they warn you that spicy is spicy (and Thai level spicy can be a LOT . My food came out promptly, and it was tasty. It was a little more coated in that sweetish sauce than I prefer (which is why the Pad Thai at Otus in LA is so great though I'm aware that many places do it this way but it was still a solid dish, and with the accompanying lime and chili flakes, I was able to cut that sweetness. (And I did indeed finish it all. All in all, a pleasant dining experience, and I'd certainly return if I were in the area."
