"In my opinion, their best drink features the taro paste. The taro is incredibly good and fresh. However, drinking it without getting it stuck in the straw or breaking the straw before you finish the drink is nearly impossible. I have my own reusable boba straw, but not everyone does, and sometimes I forget to bring mine. In such cases, I prefer to order one of their other drinks. My friend ended up throwing away her drink after just a couple of sips because the straws kept breaking, which made me feel really sad—such a waste of delicious taro paste and money! Another favorite of mine is the black sesame drink with rice puffs. It has a strong black sesame flavor, and the rice puffs reminded me of lei-cha, which I loved as a child. The other drink options are of decent quality, as you'd expect from a reputable boba shop, but honestly, they don't really justify the $7-8 price tag per drink. Be sure to take advantage of their Happy Hour, BOGO, or other discounts, as they make the prices more competitive with other places. I've noticed that the drink options on the Snackpass app feel quite limited for some reason, so I sometimes prefer to order in person for more customization. By the way, I remember liking the boba size (which is slightly smaller) and the straws at their other locations better, so it seems each location has its own way of doing things."

"I was a regular, bought my drinks there many many times( sometimes 3-4 times a week) then later had a new manager or co-worker… they either forget to place in an extra item I pay or place nothing at all or lightly. Their boba wasn’t the same too! It was like not really cooked right. I have to either find a different employee to make my drink cause they actually follow the recipe. Not bothering it anymore. And won’t be a regular and will would really rarely go there. Less likely to recommend this place anymore. :cThank you for the amazing service guess it was time to let go."

"This is the best place for bubble tea! Some people mention that parking can be a hassle, which is true since the lot outside is quite small. However, it doesn’t really matter because Kung Fu Tea is fantastic! I will always come back here. I'll let you know once I know.But there's literally no good boba this far out, so it's wonderful for the community all the way up here to now have an excellent, spacious, nicely designed and very friendly KFT here. "I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The employees should be calling out mobile orders when they are ready. I arrived 5 minutes before the expected pick-up time and saw my drink sitting behind the counter, looking like it had been there for a while. I waited for 10 minutes before finally approaching the staff to ask about my order. The woman handed me my drink, but most of the ice had melted. I hope the owner addresses this issue, as I'm sure I'm not the first customer this has happened to. The drinks are too expensive to be left sitting and melting like that."

"This is the best Kung Fu Tea I’ve visited so far! The Quincy location is huge—by far the largest compared to Chinatown, Malden, Brighton, and Cleveland Circle. The place was spotless and very well organized. They even offer fried chicken here, and it smelled amazing as soon as I walked in. The cashier was fast and efficient, and the team was already making my drinks by the time I finished ordering. I really appreciate the teamwork at this spot. Keep it up, KFT Quincy!"

"Party of 4 drove 20 miles to try the taro, coconut, Thai tea, and a non milk drink with boba. Overly sweet more than most places. Bathroom out of Order, decent staff except for getting the no milk order wrong when we explained the person ordering specifically asked for no milk/milk products and ordered a non milk item from menu it was made with milk so politely asked for it made without milk and the man says “well it’s not dairy milk” No sir, that’s not what we ordered please remake it with no milk of any kind even oat or other milk. He reluctantly remade the drink. Not worth the drive or the hassle of having to ask them to make a drink on the menu getting one with milk and then trying to be talked into taking it anyway with milk in it. Other drinks were plain and subpar for this type of drink, Thai tea was not Thai tea in an American or Thai sense, was overly sweeter and no flavor of Thai tea. "Ah, Kung-Fu Tea. I must say, this place is a real treat for those of us who appreciate the finer things in life. As I walked through the doors of this establishment, I couldn't help but feel a sense of superiority over the peasants who were just there for a quick fix of sugar and caffeine. But I digress, let's get down to the review.The first thing that struck me about Kung-Fu Tea was the overwhelming sweetness of their drinks, even when ordering half sweet. Now, I understand that some people may have a less refined palate and enjoy such pedestrian flavors, but for those of us with a more sophisticated taste, it can be quite off-putting. However, I must admit that despite the excessive sweetness, the drinks are still quite enjoyable.One standout item on the menu that I simply must mention is the popping coffee bubbles. These delightful little bursts of flavor add a wonderful depth to the drinks and are truly a unique experience for the senses. "Disappointed that KFT has gone downhill. Cashier tonight made an error not putting boba in my husband’s order when I remember specifically asking for it. Then when I brought this error up to them, they informed me that they didn’t charge me for it but I did ask for it… rather clearly I thought, so why wouldn’t you just charge me for it…? So to me this indicates the cashier just wasn’t listening properly, which is annoying. The cashier also omitted a third drink on my tab (for another family member with us) when I had placed an order for that too so I had to remind him to add that drink. It wasn’t even busy tonight. This led to a less than thrilled husband who was expecting an accurate drink but unfortunately after tonight he would’ve rather gone to fat straws instead. I’ve been to busier boba spots where it’s ten times louder and busier, and staff have still gotten things right. I felt like I wasted my time and money here. Last time I’m visiting this franchise/location, which is a shame since the employees here are nice but I just wish they’d own up to their mistake and actually do something about it."

"I ordered three drinks via Postmates. 2 milk teas and a slushy. As I was tracking the progress I noticed two things, 1) this location is no where near my house 2) they couldn?t find a delivery person. I tried to cancel my order but was told even if Idid cancel, I would still be charged. Needless to say my drinks took over an hour to be delivered at which point the ice hadcompletely melted and watered down the milk teas and the slushy was just awful tasting. I guess this more of a Postmates issuebut still I got stuck with three drinks that were gross."

"If you're someone who enjoys customizing your drinks, this tea shop might not be the best option for you. Their menu features basic choices that are also quite overpriced. Despite this, I've remained a loyal customer for a few years due to the shop’s convenient location. I recently stopped by during a work break to treat myself. Usually, I go for the black honey tea, but this time I was in the mood for something fruity with black tea. Unfortunately, most of their punch selections are limited to green tea, which isn’t to my taste. In the past, I've been able to modify my drinks, but today I was informed that they only serve what's listed on the menu and do not permit any changes. I've noticed a decline in their service lately, so it wasn’t surprising to leave feeling unsatisfied and not eager to return. Now that I'm aware of their strict policy, I plan to make the extra trip to the Teahouse down the street, where there's a better selection, more options for customization, and flexibility with sugar levels."

"Wow what an amazing gem. This place serves a ton of different types of tea's. From hot milk ? teas to regular flavor teas. We had hot milk tea which was really good. We also had the strawberry lemonade green tea. This was nice little drink. You can add tapioca pearls to any if the tea. They are pretty fast to provide you with your drinks. They do have a spot where you can sit and drink and relax. We preferred not to the smell of milk to much. But they do serve macarons in this restaurant too but our main goal was for the tea. Definitely a place to go if in the area and you want some bubble tea."

"Solid drinks. I've recently been getting the honey oolong milk tea hot since it's been cold outside. It is a little sweet, so maybe decrease the sweetness. In the summertime, I do like their fruit teas. They also carry crystal Boba, which is a great alternative when I'm not feeling for something so heavy. This location normally has one staff member working in the times I've visited so if it's a little crowded, be patient!"

"Visited kung fu tea centreville today and placed 5 orders. Out of the 5 orders they got 3 right. My order which was coffee milk tea with coffee jelly looked like coffe milk tea with a gigantic lump of something (as shown in picture). Requested a refund and the managers response was that this is suppose to look like that! and was not willing to refund. No exchange was even offered. First of all, you seal the top of the cup on this drink and offer a large straw to eat the jelly/bubbles/etc. Second, I've looked at numerous pictures on your website and online and none shows a large lump of jelly like this. If you can show me a picture from your menu or website which shows this lump, I'll be more than happy to revise my review. Finally, if a customer is not happy about an order because of the numerous mistakes on your part.. the least you can do is either refund or offer to replace the items that were incorrectly placed. You did neither one! If this is truly what this is suppose to look like, put up a picture on your menu so people are not suprised by this sad looking lump of what ever this is."

"I don?t normally write bad reviews but ugh. The business was very clean and cute and the employees were very friendly but my drink was just not great. I got the cocoa cream wow and it just disappointed. I have had it before at other locations andthought it was delicious! It?s my favorite drink, but this time it just wasn?t the same as usual. I got a large and the cup wasunder filled, not only that but the foamy topping I believe was failed to be added (which probably explains this). It was alsoreally lacking in the boba area; there wasn?t as much as usual. "Kung Fu Tea is great! I usually do take-out orders, and the mobile app works very well for ordering ahead. I do have to say that the mobile app gives you the ability to pick which location you're ordering from, so menu items may vary from visiting in person compared to what is offered in the app. The staff at the Nederland location are friendly and the establishment is very clean. The interior decorations make the place look very nice, and I've never been disappointed with a drink that I've gotten from here. I've visited five or six times, and they've been spot-on every time!"

"I would recommend avoiding this location. We've enjoyed Kung Fu Tea from other branches in the past, but this one was a disappointment. Firstly, their hours are strange and they aren't open during dinner time, which is confusing. This time, we ordered two drinks, and both tasted overly watery and excessively sweet, quite unlike what we've experienced at other locations. When I asked if we could get one of the drinks with less sugar, the staff insisted there was nothing wrong with it. We ended up purchasing another drink, but it still tasted unpleasant. Ultimately, I ended up feeling unwell after drinking both cups. I paid $13 for a drink that I couldn't even enjoy, and I certainly won't be returning. Save your money and go to a different location."
