"We were early for our reservation and they kindly welcomed us to a table. Our waiter was friendly and when I told him we had never been there and asked him to tell us about the menu he very happily obliged. He was also eager to share his favorites on the menu when asked. The food was fresh, hot and had a very nice presentation. We would definitely recommend and/or return there when in Hartford CT again."

"As a party of three we dined at Silvio's recently. We were there for 1/2 hr before a waiter came to the table. We waited for our drinks as they appeared to be short staffed. We finally placed our orders. Supposedly known for their veg dishes, I ordered fish w/ roasted pot veggies, the potatoes were mushy, veggies overdone. My husband couldn't finish his raviolis, in a tasteless sauce. Our friend also left his fish half eaten. We won't be back at those prices. Oh btw, the decor is charming."

"The measure of a great cafe is how they handle customers when the experience is NOT perfect. We were there for lunch on Oct 31, and in the middle of service, the building lost power. Not perfect, but the staff and owner remained jovial, comped a couple drinks, made cracks about the power company at least letting us finish Bill Ted before cutting the electric, etc. The food is marvelous (when it can be cooked in a lit kitchen), but the atmosphere and service is 100% why I keep coming back."

"It was a birthday celebration for my twin sons before attending Comics Come Home. The food was just okay The calamari was cooked well, but extremely bland. None of the three meals stood out. Which is a little disappointing. For my twin sons birthday, they brought out one small cannoli with a candle. So embarrassing and not what I wanted for a birthday celebration. I will say our server and host were very good."
