"Went for Downtown Dining Week. This restaurant was on the $ 35 list but the service was well below that level. There was a long wait between courses, but the plates were not removed from the table until the next course arrived. Our server seemed very uninterested in our table. It also took a long time to get drink orders. New cutlery was not provided and I was specifically asked to remove my fork from the platter so the server could clear the platter. The food was decent to good, but nothing special. Neither of these issues would be as bad if it hadn't happened to all or the restaurant was on the $ 25 list instead."

I'd highly recommend Peasant. The room, service and menu were great. Everything was nicely portioned and seasoned.

The restaurant did not honor our gift card. They also didn't call my husband back when he tried to speak to a manager.

One more try! Wasn't a good experience here ... I went there for crawfish because they said they didn't have it anymore, just replace HALF-POINT CRAFT with FOUR SHRIMP !! I'm so sad! View menu

The food wasn't hot, lukewarm at best. The server was unable to answer simple questions about the menu or the fireworks cruise after dinner. Very disappointed with the whole meal. Fireworks we are great!

Ask for ahi tuna they didn't have it. That knocked out about 1/3 of the menu. Ordered clams + clams. Mussels were undercooked and didn't even open. Mussels were empty for about half. Waitresses were new and apologetic, I hope she can find a new job

I've loved this restaurant every time I've been there, but for downtown food the food was absolutely terrible. All three of us hated the food, and it's unfortunate that I think I've served such terrible food in the past. Very disappointing and a huge waste of money and time. View menu

This might be a gem of a place but the night we had dinner they had little staff, the food took a long time to get to our table and then seemed over the top. Unfortunately it was too cold, otherwise this seems like the perfect place to sit outside on the terrace with a view of the river, open air and the energetic city atmosphere.

We were in Milwaukee for a convention and discovered that Pier 106 was the only seafood restaurant in the area. So we decided to try it out. It's right on the riverwalk so a great location especially for those who like to sit outside (we didn't). We had great service and our food was very good. We enjoyed a clam and clam starter that had white sauce on top - sauce reminded me of New England clam soup - very different from what I expected, but delicious. I had the stuffed salmon as a starter and my husband had the ahi tuna - both dishes were very good. I would recommend Pier 106 to anyone visiting Milwaukee.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
