"We had a reservation right at opening and when we got there they tried to seat us in literally the worst seat in the house. It seemed overly complicated to get us a better seat, even though there were like 3 groups there. We finally got a better spot but still, not the best. The ambiance is nice in the back portion of the restaurant but not so much by the bar. Aesthetically the bones of the place are great but there’s too much wood and not enough brick. The view of the courtyard at night was pretty. The wicker type chairs didn’t match the aesthetic and were uncomfortable. The service was good. I thought the food was good; the gnoccho fritto was delicious. I got the gnocchietti with red sauce, and the red sauce was done well. I wasn’t crazy about the ricotta gnocchietti but the dish of cheese served with it made it really good. The drinks were good, they have a nice selection. The young man who delivered our dessert couldn’t tell us what flavor of gelato came with it, but I think there was a language barrier. My partner had the special, a salmon on a bed of lentils which he said was good. Overall it’s a pretty nice place but it really depends on where you’re seated. I also found it irritating that they started the meal by telling us we had the table for two hours. We didn’t intend to be there that long anyways, but being told we couldn’t take our time was annoying and felt unprofessional. I might go back but I’ll still be searching for the best fresh pasta in Seattle elsewhere. I do recommend at least trying it once."

"So this was our first time here. First impression was nice. Beautiful interior. Lucky for us there was plenty of room at 630 pm on a Sat. Spoke to a pleasant hostess and immediately informed her we are celebrating 2 birthdays. Now, that said, I realize it 's not to be expected that she notify the server, but isn 't it? Maybe not expected but I was surprised that being two birthdays out of two people and after telling her it was our tradition to go somewhere new every year...blah blah blah...she did not share that info. Or maybe she did and the server (or Forma does nothing for that. Ok bummer. But then it was this:Server was impatient with reasonable questions. Hardly came to table. Picked up starter salad before we finished without even a head nod or ask how we were doing. Pasta choice was a classic to gauge the place...Cacio e Pepe. Sorry but was not hot, portion so meh and where was the Pepe? I mean that dish only has four ingredients. It 's basically cheese and pepper. No coarsely ground peppa? On like warm pasta? And the cheese...flat. Nothing rich n smooth. We were thinking cheesecake or ? And another drink. Nope. Dude came by way too late for any of that. The busser however was so friendly and calm. He had a very interesting name which I 'm an ass for forgetting. Braunio?...I think. Great guy. Friends have told me over the years that it 's not really anything to write home about but I was still interested. We agree. Just ambiance. Menu was slightly overbearing. many lovely cheeses, but you better know all about them. If you get our server, you will feel like you are wasting his precious time with questions. Yes we were slightly fired up, birthday kooking a bit (and by a bit i mean a bit. but come on man, it 's 6:30pm Sat before Halloween. You have 2 tables. Host your guests. Lose the cool guy ****. I 'd say it 's a solid place for youngsters to go on a fancy first date....Maybe not a birthday. ; Prices were low. Shocking actually. Happy Hour on Sat night? Hmmm. ?"
