"We chose to visit this taproom because of a craving for Sliders. I saw great reviews about the Sliders online. When we arrived there was a sign, advertising the slider special. Once we were seated and ready to order, we were told they no longer had sliders and hadn't for over a week. I was disappointed but we stayed to try something else. We both got beer flights which were good but the food was extremely bland. We got beer battered jalapeño poppers, a patty melt with fries and a pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. The batter on the poppers was not seasoned at all and badly needed it. The meat in the patty melt was not seasoned and we had to add salt and pepper. The pulled pork was also lacking seasoning but the pineapple and bbq helped. The fries were the best tasting items we ate. Our waitress was nice and apologized about the sign. I would not recommend this place for food, but they have a decent selection of beers that included a porter."

"Wedding Catering: Gregg Ginny over delivered on so many levels! First we visited them to possibly have our wedding on site but ended up going with another location (it was a tough choice between the two, their Location is BEAUTIFUL!-Right on the lake!! Regardless, we enjoyed Gregg Ginny's company so much that we just had to have them involved in our wedding in one way or the other! So, we finally decided to have them cater our wedding and I am so glad we did! My husband and I lived out of state so we were unable to do a tasting before the wedding. We were slightly worried about this BUT we were put at ease when we sat down to eat. The food tasted AMAZING (the presentation was beautiful as well ! Greg Ginnys team was able to roll with some last minute changes as well like adding fruits and veggies as appetizers platting the bride, groom, best man and maid of honors food! When we get back to Michigan we will definitely be paying Gregg Ginny a visit and trying some of their other delicious food! Also, check out the other activities they offer on location! Such a fun place with wonderful owners!"

"The food was delicious, but the service left something to be desired. My tea went unrefilled until I had to ask a different waiter for assistance; I’m not sure where my actual waiter was. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, with only two other tables occupied, so I didn’t understand why it took so long to get a refill. My waiter only approached me once I had finished my meal to ask if I was ready for my check. He was friendly, but not very attentive. Despite the service issues, I will definitely return because the food was fantastic. I tried the Birria tacos and really enjoyed the beans with the street corn—they were absolutely delicious!"

"IF I COULD GIVE ZERO I WOULD! I don?t normally leave reviews but I had to on this one. I ordered the three chicken enchiladas plate. When my food was brought out, it was made incorrectly. They gave me a beef and two cheese enchiladas. I politely told herit was wrong and they brought me the correct food which was completely smothered in red sauce. Which is usually not a bad thingbut it was way excessive. I took two bites and did not like it and was just going to politely ask her if she could take it offthe bill or replace it with something else. The waitress came up to the table, crossed her arms, rolled her eyes and said sinceI ?ate? it she couldn?t do anything for me but if I wanted to pay for it and order something else I could. I was appalled. Youcalling ?eating? something in full only taking two small bites? It didn?t take me the whole plate to figure out I hated it. Thewaitress was very rude and not accommodating at all. Not only that the prices are outrageous. I know everything has went up butfor that quality of food. Hell no! Will never be going back. ??????????????????????????Why would you ?reuse? food anyway?That?s disgusting. I stated to the waitress that I understand that?s how you make your enchiladas and I just didn?t like it. Atthe very least I do not think I should have been charged the whole price for my meal. Considering the mess up and rude behavior.But I would say that?s a serious health concern if your reusing food. Call to the health department I think."

"This is one of our go-to restaurants, and my husband and I come here several times a month. The quality of the the food has undeniably slipped over the past few months, and they never seem to have enough servers working. Nonetheless, it's our local spot and we really enjoy the vegetarian dishes, ACP varieties, and diablo shrimp. So we were so disappointed to discover yesterday that a new menu has been implemented with higher prices and our favorites are no longer available. Having to now pay $1.95 per basket of chips and salsa ultimately had us walking out the door and up the road to a different Mexican restaurant.I understand that some people may take advantage of free chips salsa, and $1.95 isn't a lot, but it's widely expected to receive them. They may also help promote further drink orders from non-dining patrons. Perhaps just require a minimum order amount, say $15, and they are complimentary. Order below that and you have to pay. At any rate, I'm not sure that we will be returning."

"All i can say is eeeeh . Literally everything was so so blah. The food was cold, the chips were stale.the salsa was ok. The tortilla seem homemade so that was nice. The nachos had a odd tasting cheese, like plastic ish. Rice and bean cream is 10 dollars. You get such an a small amount of rice that my 3yr old wanted more. The rooftop is uneventful, is literally big windows that are opened. They do have a lot of outdoor seating. I tried making reservations online but itwas booked . Still decided to go in and it was pretty empty."

"Comfortable inside seating; we ordered the medium sized chicken fajitas and with the two sides of rice (they offer cilantro lime rice! and beans, it was more than enough for two people. "We came from out of state and got gas from across the street and thought Oasis was promising. Upon arrival, we were asked by the hostess if we wanted to sit in the bar area or dining, then she wanted us to pick where we sat? We have no idea where we are going so? We then were seen by a waitress for our drinks, then waited for a while before being asked what we wanted to eat. Then waitress number 2 came and asked us in a rushed manner what we wanted. I asked what side was the best and the waitress looked at me like I was an idiot. We waited for almost 30 minutes on our food (2 burgers, baked potato, mashed potatoes) and when we got it by waitress number 3, we both got incorrect sides (French fries) our bacon wasn’t done on the burgers, lettuce was brown on edges, and no seasoning whatsoever. We asked for the right sides and we asked for the bacon to be cooked correctly and we got them and the bacon came back boarder-line BURNED!! We didn’t finish our food or wanted it boxed up and we had to flag down waitress number 4 for our check. Horrible food, horrible service, and horrible attitudes."

"We gathered for a mini reunion on Tuesday night at 5:30 PM. The atmosphere was wonderful, the staff greeted us warmly, and the service was excellent. I ordered the hand-pulled chicken tamales, which were beautifully presented, but I felt they could have benefited from more meat and spices. I ended up having to pour a whole bowl of salsa over them to enhance the flavor. On the plus side, I appreciated the bonus of extra hand-pulled chicken served alongside! I was also impressed by Escalante's commitment to offering healthier options; the chips were not greasy, and they don’t serve heavy refried beans. However, there was an issue with the restrooms—one of the two stalls in the women's restroom was out of order. For a restaurant of this size, this should have been addressed and fixed promptly. The women at our table chose to wait for others before heading to the restroom to avoid a long wait at the door."

"The food was delicious. We ordered the enchiladas Rojas and the sauce was authentic (dark like it should be, not bright red). We also had the empanada and chile Verde tamale; nothing disappointed. "I have been there quite a few times. Things have usually been good. I would have given higher overall, service, and atmosphere ratings, but when I stopped in recently, I found the service rude and inattentive. I ordered a frozen sangria/rosè swirl, saying, I heard if you ask nicely, you can get some of each. and was told I didn 't ask very nicely. I thought I was pretty nice. As I was finishing it, I asked for a spoon to eat the last of it, when I finally got someone 's attention. It never came. My friend went to another establishment to get a plastic spoon. It took another long time to get anyone 's attention to pay the check. My 3 star ratings are only that high because of averaging in other previous good experiences there. Otherwise, based solely on my experience the other day, I 'd have given a 1. I 'll come back and hopefully the other day will just be an outlier."

"If you haven't checked out this restaurant yet, you're definitely missing a gem. It's not the fancy brunch spot, but the quality is exceptional—probably the best breakfast I've had in years, if not ever. My bartender, Nick, was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. I visited alone from out of state, just looking to kill some time, and I can confidently say I'll be coming back whenever I get the chance. "Haven't eaten here in years, but a friend chose this for dinner. We arrived right at dinner time. The outdoor seating area was almost full but still had a few tables open. We opted for indoor dining, which was quickly becoming full as well. The bar areawas crowded. The menu does have a diverse selection, but not quite my taste. I opted for a small Salem salad. Comes withchicken tenders, ham and generous veggies over romaine and iceberg lettuces, along with an adult beverage ????. The server wasfriendly and knowledgeable. Service from the kitchen was quite slow, but still giving 5 stars because I expect a dinner rush tobe slower than normal. Salad was delicious and the perfect healthy dinner option. The small size was still enough for twopeople, so keep that in mind. Great location downtown. Parking around back or on the street if you're there in time to get one. Will visit here again.
