"I ordered the chicken and waffles along with the biscuits and gravy. Let’s start with the chicken and waffles. The chicken was juicy, but the breading lacked any flavor or seasoning. Additionally, the chicken was placed on top of the waffle in the same container, which resulted in the waffle becoming a greasy, soggy mess. I don’t mind a bit of grease, but a soggy waffle is just not enjoyable. On a positive note, the waffle itself had great flavor; I just wish it had been served separately.
Now, onto the highlight of my meal: the biscuits and gravy. As a country boy from West Virginia, I’ve been on the hunt for good sausage gravy since moving to Tampa over four years ago. I can confidently say that Joe's sausage gravy is the best I’ve found. If anyone knows of any other places that serve excellent, hearty sausage gravy, please let me know. Until then, Joe's has definitely won my loyalty for that dish."
