"Truly fine food served in a very professional manner at an historic setting. A walk through the grounds and seeing the historical pictures are a must. When we entered the Garden Patio there was a smoke from a decorative fire that was taken care of when we commented as we were seated. "It seems there was some confusion regarding my order; I had requested a western burger but was offered a vegetarian option instead. When I declined the vegetarian burger, they replaced it with a regular burger that didn’t come with the usual western toppings. Despite this mix-up, the food was delicious overall. However, the Peppers team has always been accommodating and, in my experience, has done their best to address any issues. That level of service is truly commendable. The restaurant has a lively ambiance, and their dining rooms are great for hosting large parties, available for rent to suit various occasions. The bar area is vibrant, while the dining area provides a quieter atmosphere for guests who prefer a more relaxed setting. The owner, Sal, is a fantastic individual. Through my parents, I've had the pleasure of getting to know him, and it’s clear he cares deeply about both his business and the community. I have nothing but positive things to say about Peppers!"

"I ordered through "Too Good to Waste," an app available in New York that allows customers to try a business at a discounted price. I have used this app several times. Most businesses have specific pickup times, with Calabria allowing pickups 30 minutes before closing. When I arrived five minutes early, I showed my order to the cashier and was asked to wait. The cashier informed the other worker, and I eventually received a box of pizza. However, upon opening the box, I was disappointed to find five slices of pizza that looked like they were going to be thrown away. This was the first time using "Too Good to Waste" that I felt like I had received such poor quality food. This reflects poorly on the business's character. With pickups happening 30 minutes before closing, there are many options that could qualify as "too good to waste." Unfortunately, I was given old pizza slices that seemed to have been sitting around all day for a reduced price. When I asked if the cashier could warm it up, he refused. I mentioned that I had placed two orders, and he gave me the same low-quality pizza again. I was extremely disappointed with the experience. Once again, this demonstrates the lack of character in this business. Thirty minutes before closing, there are plenty of options that could be offered instead of giving customers food that would be thrown out. Customers deserve to receive food that is too good to be wasted."

"I ordered food from this restaurant tonight. When I went to pay for my food. I handed him (owner) my credit card. Before he ran the card, I told him to add something from the cooler that was right next to the register. When I turned around from the cooler, the owner had thrown my credit card on the counter and went about his way. Instead of handing it back My credit card to me. I told him that was very unsafe and I could’ve just walked away, not realizing that he didn’t hand me back my card. That it was very impolite And disrespectful of him to just throw my card down on the counter . This wasn’t the first time he was rude to me. This is the second and last time because I would never go back there again. He seems like he just doesn’t like my presence there for no reason. So I will Take my money and spend it somewhere where I am appreciated."

"I just called to order a gift card for my father for the holidays. I spoke with a gentleman I believe named Chris and he was fantastic. While they usually do not take charges over the phone and normally do E-Gift Cards I let him know the circumstance of me living in California and my father not having active email that an e-card was not likely going to work. At every opportunity him to say no he found a way to say yes. At the end of the call he then lets me know that instead of mailing this out he or someone from his establishment would drop it at my father's residence. I have been in the hospitality/restaurant business for 30 years and this gentleman that represented TPR today is an amazing representation of hospitality and superior customer service. The next time I am back east I will be sure to come in and enjoy a meal at your establishment."

"This diner is fantastic! It's clean, respected, and overall very pleasant. The omelette could have had a bit more bacon, but the service was extremely quick and the portion size was perfect. "PROS: This place was the first place I ate at when I visited Salem. A lot of space to help with CDC guidelines and you can it inside and out. The food was great, there was a lot on the menu all for a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. CONS: There wasn't really any cons. One thing is that I made a reservation for mid September back in August but they abolished all reservations till November which risked us not getting a table, fortunately we did though. Also parking is a hassle. Since they are located in a walking alley you have to find parking far away OVERALL: This place is definitely a place to hit up. They also hold banquets and is haunted too! I recommend the Burger if you go."

"Tried this joke of a place for the first time using the Slice app.While using the app, the user is presented with a choice of a crust, regular or thin, I chose regular as I hate thin crust.Out of 4 items ordered, 3 were wrong.Pizza was as thin and hard as cardboard (not regular by any standard, photos attached). After raising the issue with Slice, we were told that the only have one type of crust...In that case, why is the user presented with an option?????Ordered white pizza got regular.Ordered diet Pepsi got diet Coke (there is a difference).The last ordered item was pasta in garlic and oil which was over saturated with oil with a large amount of oil sitting in the bottom of the container.The concept of an eatery messing up a written order is mind blowing and goes to show that this place will send you whatever they want, not what the customer asked for or that their staff is simply incompetent in following a very simple request.Needless to say will not be using them ever again."

"Went here last Sunday after a long walk at Balboa Park. We did not have to reserve and was seated as soon as we arrived. They have an outdoor seating and I remember bringing my pet dog here one time. Service was great and the food was really good! I highly recommend trying out the Corned Beef Hash and Egg because it’s one of the tastiest meals we had during our visit. The serving is huge and make sure to ask for a box to go if you cannot finish it in one sitting. They’re not lying when they called their Big Chocolate Cake big because the size of that slice was enough to fill me up until dinner. Highly recommend and will definitely come back."

"Upon our arrival, our coats were checked at the door, and we were seated promptly, even though we were a few minutes late due to road conditions. Our waitress, Sonya, was incredibly helpful, polite, articulate, and friendly. She provided us with detailed information about the menu items, and despite the great descriptions, we had more questions. Sonya was amazing! We really appreciated her service. The drink menu was impressive as well. For appetizers, we ordered raw oysters and fried calamari, both of which were delicious. Now, onto the main event: the steaks! Being from the South, we have a deep love for beef, particularly steak. All four of us agreed that the steaks were phenomenal! Three of us had the 10oz Ribeye, and one of us had the 6oz Filet Mignon. They were seasoned to perfection and cooked rare, with presentation that was impeccable! The steaks were incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths. We shared the generous side portions, and we loved the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. For dessert, we indulged in the lava cake, which was truly heavenly! We couldn’t have been more satisfied with our experience. We definitely discovered a hidden gem in New Haven. Once word gets out, I’m sure it won’t be as easy to snag a reservation."

"I’ve ordered here about 15 times in the last 2-3 months and most of the time it’s good. I do not recommend going there an hour and half before they close. I ordered at 9 they close at 10 and I bought what I thought would be a new pizza(XL- $15) andwhat I got was a cold pre sliced pizza that was stitched together. I’m not dumb and know what a fresh pizza out the oven lookslike me this look like Frankensteins sister. They took the slices from the display that would normally be 2 for 5 andmakeshifted a whole pizza that clearly was not a full pizza. Cheeese was not stuck together, gaps between the slices, slices aredifferent sizes, no grease, cold sauce and I ordered the pizza at 9 walked in 920 and got home 925 and pizza was stone cold. Iate the disgusting pizza just because I don’t like wasting food especially since I paid 15 for it. I do question if I want togo back."

"I have an order for the last minute catering, a very small work meeting, just needed an antipasto and cheese tablet. I ordered at 11:30 a.m. and found out that the event was canceled at 1:30 a.m., I contacted them immediately to cancel the order for the new date or preferably to change it again. they canceled the $200 order, refunded me $20, and told me they would be happy to accompany our later event, but the cancellation fee is still because they had to throw away all food. a few things. the restaurant industry was hit hard because of the pandemic, I know that. people like me cannot afford to do like these all willing nilly. I know. they had to throw away all food?...Why was there only a 2 hours gap between me to put the order and find out that the meeting was canceled delivery was not planned until 3:30. again, maybe. I'm wrong! but if they had said. if we would still charge them all the amount and throw away all the food, I would have just taken the food and put it in the refrigerator. Finally, nowhere...absolutely nowhere is it written the due customers will be when an order is canceled with this place. they gave me $20 of a $200 order, and we're talking about cheese and olive. it looks like this place has really good food, but I will never order from them again, and no one will be in my company. it is not my fault that someone was sick and that was canceled, not their fault, maybe a better communication and customer service."
