"Upon our arrival, our coats were checked at the door, and we were seated promptly, even though we were a few minutes late due to road conditions. Our waitress, Sonya, was incredibly helpful, polite, articulate, and friendly. She provided us with detailed information about the menu items, and despite the great descriptions, we had more questions. Sonya was amazing! We really appreciated her service. The drink menu was impressive as well. For appetizers, we ordered raw oysters and fried calamari, both of which were delicious. Now, onto the main event: the steaks! Being from the South, we have a deep love for beef, particularly steak. All four of us agreed that the steaks were phenomenal! Three of us had the 10oz Ribeye, and one of us had the 6oz Filet Mignon. They were seasoned to perfection and cooked rare, with presentation that was impeccable! The steaks were incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths. We shared the generous side portions, and we loved the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. For dessert, we indulged in the lava cake, which was truly heavenly! We couldn’t have been more satisfied with our experience. We definitely discovered a hidden gem in New Haven. Once word gets out, I’m sure it won’t be as easy to snag a reservation."

The first time in the restaurant and we loved it. Great servings of food. The drinks were strong enough to fulfill our wishes and our JOE W server was the best. Excellent service from him never a boring moment. Will be back.

The most delicious asparagus I’ve ever had! My medium rare filet mignon melted in my mouth kinda like seared Ahi Tuna does...can’t wait to go back! I really enjoyed the Caesar salad also. Sometimes, you just crave a steak. I ordered a smaller ribeye cooked just past blue, and it was fantastic—no steak knife required! The fond was excellent. The only misstep I made was ordering a wedge salad on the side; it turned out to be too much food for me, especially since the steak came with a generous portion of arugula. The bistro white plate allowed the meat to cool down fairly quickly, but I'm not sure how to remedy that; a hot plate would probably wilt the arugula.

The service and food were exceptional! We had no wait time, and the atmosphere was delightful with fantastic lighting. Our server, Nicole, was friendly and very knowledgeable, providing us with excellent recommendations. The steak tartare was incredible, and the crab cake had a perfect crust and was packed with crab meat. The aioli was smooth and delicious. Jack's burger was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Bladimir has really outdone himself! I will definitely be returning!

We went there Friday night for my husbands birthday and we were a party of 7. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the owner who personally escorted up to our table. Our server Amanda was wonderful answering all of our questions and offering suggestions. We got a tomahawk which they sliced for us to make it easy to share. Everyone loved the food from our appetizers of octopus, calamari and the meat and cheese platter to the steaks and sides to the unique crime brûlée and lava cake for dessert. Now, let's not forget about the sides, which were incredible! We enjoyed roasted Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes that were truly mouthwatering. As a little aside, their $9 Brussels sprouts portion would make a fantastic lunch on its own. We will definitely be returning, and I won’t waste my time ordering steaks anywhere else. Stopped by today after 4pm to take advantage of the Sunday/Monday deals for dinner (prix fixe executive menu). However, I was told that they were only serving from the happy hour and regular menus. Deeply saddened but still full of curiosity, I tried the 6oz filet mignon (which is the same price as the three course prix fixe meal I was hoping for, of which steak is an entree option).
