"I 'm so conflicted. My bf took me here for birthday dinner last year and it was one of the greatest steaks I 've ever had in my life. Today for brunch was overpriced, sub-par, and exceptionally rude service from our main server. My pastrami sandwich was fine, but the pastrami should have been the star and instead it was drowned out by the cheese, slaw, egg and dressing, and the egg was way overcooked. The fried pickles were good, but overkill with the potato salad that had a pickly taste to it already. And btw, the potato salad was good, but I 've had much better. For $24, I expected more from this dish. The duck egg burger was just alright, nothing special, including the fries, but the best dish by far was the shakshouka. The labneh really set it off. However, the egg was supposed to be poached, and for all three people who got this dish, the egg was overcooked and solid instead of runny. Again, I expect the quality to be a lot better at a place like this. For drinks, the green juice was delicious, but my mom, a ****** mary connoisseur, said it wasn 't that good at all, and that was a $16 ****** mary. Finally, when the check came, I noticed they charged us for water, and with three bottles at $9 each, I had to say something. For a drink that 's supposed to be free be $27, that definitely should have been communicated to us. I nicely told the server that and she replied with the rudest, nastiest, ok, what do you want me to do about it? attitude. She returned with the water taken off, but the attitude that came with it was completely uncalled for. It 's a shame that the brunch experience was nowhere near the quality of the dinner experience a couple years ago. For that, I 'm not sure that I can return without heavy convincing from trusted sources that it 's safe to go to again."

"They have dine in with Covid vaccine proof so that's a plus, they have booths that fit 1-2 people and 4 seat dining tables and the server was nice, that's about all the pros. There was a fly in here and as I currently look down at my turkey burger and sweet potato fries all I can think about is how bland the food was. I dont know what happened to the seasoning and I had very little faith they would do it properly if asked so used the salt, pepper and ketchup on the table. Managed to eat 2/3 of the burger, hardly made a dent on the fries, they give you a lot which would of been great if tasted better. Couldn't force anymore down, so taking a L with this lunch. Really wanted to try their desserts but I'm afraid it's just as bland so didnt give it a try and this fly is giving me trust issues. Maybe their other menu items taste better cause I see 5 star reviews, i guess it depends on your taste buds. An older gentleman seems to be enjoying the food behind me so to each their own. But for me it's a no, even $11 is a lot if the food comes out tasting as bland as paper and a fly you constantly have to swat away. Only salvation was the tap water, wouldve hated paying more for a drink.Correction: Not $11, I just got my receipt and he's charging me $18.51 so they are literally charging every item on your plate. The burger itself is $11 and the fries are $6, overpriced and under seasoned. On top of that he asked what side I wanted, I had assumed it was a side that came with it with the way he worded it, fine, simple misunderstanding but atleast season the food if you charging so much. The price is slapping my face with how unsatisfy I am with this dinner."

"I have been going to the lighthouse since it opened and I've experienced it improve immensely over the years. The bar is owned by a sister and a brother duo who have physically built aspects of the place and spirituality infused a vibrant pulse making it the social beacon it has set out to be.The food in the beginning had room for improvement and it has improved. They make the most delicious sourdough bread and you can purchase a loaf as long as they have them to spare which is a wonderful option especially when you live two blocks away. The staff is always accommodating and friendly. As times have gotten more challenging, portions have shrunk and prices have risen which is understandable, I'm happy to pay more to help a restaurant that has weathered the pandemic storm. One thing I do wish they would consider changing is charging extra for things that are typically offered as complimentary. If someone orders a dish that needs bread to eat it, don't make them order it separately. If a dish needs chips to eat it and not enough are provided, just provide a little bit more without charging them. I've never complained about this as a customer and I would never refuse to pay for extra charges. How ever, I recently brought a somewhat frugal friend here and he flipped out at the extra charge that was not disclosed which he didn't handle well despite having a valid point. We were credit the extra fee. My feeling is that for what the restaurant is charging for things, I really can't see them losing much by not nickel and diming as if it were an à la cart takeout place. I think it is better etiquette to provide typically customary items with dishes as customary. Perhaps this is the new normal, however I have yet to experience another place, at a similar price point, with equally delicious food follow suit. Nevertheless, this is a minor beef with an establishment that overall does an amazing job."
