"My wife and I wanted to eat breakfast on a Sunday morning in a different place. We decided on this diner because it has the oldtime diner look and we were not disappointed in that it did have the feel as well. All the indoor seating tables have a bright airy touch. There is a counter if you prefer to eat there. The service was instant. I had a short stack of whole wheat blueberry pancakes with coffee, the warm maple syrup in the metal pitcher was a nice touch. My wife had two eggs over-easy with bacon as well as coffee. We both were satisfied with our vittles. The clean bathrooms are downstairs. On a Sunday all metered parking is free and more than ample. Nice place for a change, Hastings is very quaint and great for a short Sunday stroll."

"To celebrate my birthday, I had a few local restaurants to choose from, but with our 5-week-old baby girl, we were limited. This was our first night out, and I picked my favorite place for dinner. We are always satisfied with the food and the early bird special. The staff is consistently attentive, and the menu offers plenty of options. I love this restaurant, and it was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday and enjoy our first night out in a few weeks. It's a large local diner in an area with several choices, but it's definitely our favorite."

"Called ahead and was told it was twenty minutes until my 6 bagel sandwich order was ready. It actually took 40 minutes and they had to chase after me with my muffin they forgot. Oh and the lights weren?t even on when I walked in which was almost an hourafter they opened. Just speaks to their organization which there was none! Service was horrendous, they dropped my order on thefloor! I went to pay and found out what I thought would be a $30 order was over $40!! I?ve also never been to a bagel shop thatonly puts one egg on each sandwich, so not only is it overpriced but it?s cheap. The Dunkin next store is getting all of mybusiness and I recommend to everyone that they do the same."

"I've never encountered such rude customer service! I placed an online order for food from Frank's at 5:30 pm, well within their operating hours. When my sister went to pick up the pizza, the door was open, and a man inside, without a shirt, informed her that they were closed and that our pizzas hadn't been made, even though I had already been charged. When I entered to request a refund, I was met with such hostility that I was taken aback. The employee practically told me it wasn't his problem and blamed a third party, then yelled at me to leave his restaurant. My husband returned to speak with them, as I was quite upset, and the man even claimed he had called the police on me! I contacted DoorDash, who handled the online ordering, and they stated that Frank’s could have easily refunded me since they received my payment. Honestly, I don't even care about the money anymore! I'm just in disbelief over how I was treated by this unhinged individual. I wish I had recorded his outrageous comments. I will definitely not support this business and will share my experience with everyone I know."

"someone on the table next to us put on the floor and nobody noticed. we had to make the employees aware and after 5-10 minutes someone came back with a scary to us so we could go. the manager offered us a free dessert for the inconvenience that was so unprofessional for this type of disorder during our dinner. our server was amazing all the time and offered to complete the entire evening meal. the manager seemed like he had no idea what he was doing."

When I say I love Victor's pizza more than any food from any place anywhere I mean to say that you can ask me at any time whether I want Victor's pizza me my answer will always be yes. "Once again, this wasn't my first choice or even second) when I was picking a place to dine. However, I was pleasantly rewarded for not being able to go to the three other places I had in mind before finding this one. I arrived towards the end of the evening but was still met with exemplary service. The food was pretty awesome too. I ordered the Jumbo Sardines on a whim, and I wasn't disappointed. I wouldn't recommend them to many people as that fish tends to be very heavy and somewhat fishy. What I was not expecting was five large fish on my plate, just begging to be devoured. Both the stuffed grape leaves and the tzatziki appetizers were done in the most perfect manner I could hope for. Despite how amazingly tasty the food was, I found a few of the prices to be higher than I would have been happy with $10 for an extra side of rice or pita). But other than that, everything was super fantastic. I really enjoyed the lemon potatoes on the side. The baklava for dessert was able to hit the spot well. Next time I go back, I think I'll try the spanakopita or maybe the kabab. Vegetarian options: There were more than a few meatless dishes. Many things were made with only veggies. Parking: The parking lot is shared with several businesses, and is not paved. More like a hard-pack with stones. Kid-friendliness: Not a great place to bring them. They wouldn't appreciate the quality. Wheelchair accessibility: Other than the parking lot not being terribly friendly to wheelchairs, there was a good ramp to get in, and the staff were very accommodating. I don't know if there was another bathroom, but the one I saw wasn't very wheelchair friendly. Too many tight turns and very little space.i"

"My daughter and I was lucky to find this gem offering a page in their menu for vegan options. We had missed out in the free breakfast at the hotel we were staying in Clark, NJ and left starving after check-out. We drove to a cafe in Rahway that indicated in a Google search that vegan options were available and a customer review stated they had tofu scramble. However, when we arrived they only had a couple of cookies and avocado toast for to choose from. We were so disappointed. We ran another Google search for Vegan Restaurants Near Me and we, both, decided on Brewed Awakening in Metuchen. We are so glad we did. The area was clean and safe. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was welcoming. The Iced Chai and Matcha Lattes were THEE best we 've ever had. We chose the tofu scramble and Avo Chick as our options. Spicy Chorizo Chickpeas were the feature of the Avo Chick which we requested to have on the side due to our low tolerance for spicy. They were very tasty in low consumption (small bites at a time), if you 're not a big spicy food eater. The potatoes and tofu scramble mix was delicious with the added vegan cheese and avocado. We were so hungry that we forgot to take pictures of the food as we normally do. We would definitely return when visiting the area. Thank you!"
