"If you want authentic vietnamese food you need to go here. One of my favourite meals of all time is a Vietnamese Bahn Mí and this place hands down does the best I 've had. I 've travelled all over Vietnam specifically looking for the best Bahn Mí 's but nowhere matches this place. I ordered the traditional Bahn Mí but just as for grilled marinated pork to be added. It is honestly a taste sensation. Im not sure any first bite has been so good as it was from this sandwich. The sweetness from the carrot slaw with the herbyness from the cilantro then the perfectly seasoned pork and the richness from the paté makes an unbelievable mouthful of goodness. If you 're into Bahn Mís you have to go here. You won 't regret it."

"I have ordered from this restaurant a few times. The first time, I was impressed. The second time, I felt like they didn't give me a sufficient amount of tofu and veggies. This time, they definitely skimped out on me. There were only 5 pieces of tofu, compared to the block or half block that most places give you. There were only 4 pieces of broccoli, half of which were tiny, and 3 pieces of carrots. As for the onion, I only found two tiny slices. I called and they gave me a refund, but I was really disappointed and sad while eating my food."

"I wanted to try this place because my coworker told me the food was good. I had ordered a pork fried rice and was very excited to try this new restaurant. I picked up the food and went back to work only to find out there was a hair sticking out from the fried rice. I call them to let them know and the first thing they do is deny that it is from the employees and all of them wear hats. I told them the hair is mixed with the rice and it is untouched and I can bring it so you guys can see. I took it back and a lady apologized and said this happens to every restaurant like it is very normal for restaurants to have hair on their food. They asked me if I want another and I refused because why would I? The lady offered me spring rolls, but I just wanted my money back. A guy take some cash out of the drawer and hands it to me but it’s less than what was charged from my card, because I had TIPPED them. I show my bank statement and they finally give my full money back."

"I recently took my son to lunch at the Santee location, and it turned out to be a complete disaster! The service was terrible, the food was cold and unappetizing, and part of our order was either forgotten or never placed at all. We had to ask for our drinks and utensils three times before they finally brought them. It was the worst service I've ever experienced! When my son and I requested to speak with the manager, she refused to talk to us. I will never return! I was genuinely surprised, as our previous visits had always been good in terms of service and food. If the restaurant had been busy, I might have understood, but it was practically empty."

"I really like this restaurant overall - the food is good, service is fast, prices are reasonable, and the location is convenient. However, I am disappointed that despite ordering their spicy sandwich multiple times, it never actually comes out spicy as advertised on the menu. Every time I request for it to be spicy, it ends up being milder than expected. Today, I specifically asked for it to be spicy, but it still came out with only a small sliver of jalapeño and very mild sauce. I hope that the restaurant can address this issue and actually season the food as requested, matching the level of spiciness indicated on the menu. If they can do that, I would be happy to update my rating to five stars. Unfortunately, my recent visit still resulted in a non-spicy sandwich, which was disappointing."

"Id like to take the time to call this place out on their portioning of my meal and also the management that couldn’t face a problem right in front of them and fixing it.I ordered a simple dish to go, chicken teriyaki and no drink. At first I was iffy with the price but I figured, since it was 13.99 plus tax I kinda assumed that I was getting a real good portion of rice, chicken and salad. But that wasn’t the case and instead I got about half the price portioning in my opinion. I got my order and left to where I needed to be and noticed the portioning was all off.I called up the place and the front desk young lady was very nice and patient w me and the guy was also but this is where the management needs work.The manger insisted that they had everything correct and that there was no issue and etc. they asked me to bring my food back just so they can “LOOK” at it. So I did and when I took it to them the front guy just looked at the food and said yea that’s correct. And apologizes for ME THINKING I WAS GOING TO GET A 13.99 WELL PORTIONED CHICKEN TERIYAKI PLATE. so anyways, they told me I couldn’t get a refund, I couldn’t get more portioning and insisted that my food was correct, the picture I provided is what I got. HALF A ENTREE SIDE OF CHICKEN. FOR 13.99+TAX. 15.14!INSANE FOR WHAT I GOT!!!!The young lady and young man helped a little bit with the situation by offering me a drink.I told them that that was nice of them.The whole time I didn’t talk to any manager, which is insane because they are the ones who are suppose to fix whatever they can for the customer."

"I am not one to let a DoorDash coupon expire and I also happened to be craving Viet (I often am), so we decided to order from here one Thursday evening for pick up. We chose Cha Pa's because it was on my husband's way home from work and was available on DoorDash. I'll admit, I was a bit iffy at first with only 3.5 stars on Yelp but we gave it a shot, and I'm really glad we did. Here is everything we ordered: Vietnamese Spring Rolls the spring roll skin was a bit chewy here but the filling was good Bun Bo Hue (spicy lemongrass soup and added beef meatballs) this was so flavorful and it was pretty spicy. There's lots of bits of lemongrass on the bottom, which I don't think you're really supposed to eat, but everything else was great. Adding the beef meatballs was a great move. Plus, not a lot of places even have BBH on the menu, so this was much appreciated Thit Ko (Vietnamese braised pork belly with egg, and added a sausage) this was too oily for me but my husband enjoyed it. He also loves rice and pork belly so I'm sure any rice pork belly is better than no rice pork belly Large Beef Pho Broth we just ordered the broth because we thought getting a regular pho with everything would be too much food, and this was the best move. We got to try the broth itself, which is the most important part and it was great. LOTS of bone marrow flavor so if you don't like bone marrow, this isn't for you Grilled Pork Banh Mi not the greatest banh mi but better than most average banh mis I've had. If you're craving one, this will do Everything was packaged perfectly, and was intact and still hot after a 40 min ish trip back home. They even gave us packets (instead of little cups) of sriracha and hoisin, which was really convenient, since these can sometimes pop open and spill. Cha Pa's really thought it through. Would definitely order again!"

"If you receive a promo from them, do not try to use! I was sent a promo that I needed to make a reservation to use. I even received several emails and texts confirming my reservation and asking if I was still able to make it. When I got to the store (which is far away from me by the way) the host had no idea what I was talking about, not about reservations nor about the birthday promo I was given and showed him on my phone. He went to ask someone and came back and sat us, but it did not seem like he understood still. So I showed the email and asked if it would be honored. He seemed very confused so another person came to see if they could help. He seemed confused as well so he asked if he could show my phone to the other staff in back. When he came back he said none of them had ever seen such a thing before and they had no idea what it was! Keep in mind, this was a promo I received by signing up with this company directly through their website. Thankfully he offered to give me a discount for my troubles, but it was a huge fiasco and not at all what should have happened. Why would you send out promos that you do not intend to honor, especially since it was for my birthday and I had received many confirmations prior to my visit, even the day of?"

"We tried the vegetarian banh mi and the vegetarian summer roll. The banh mi bread was delicious but there was hardly any filling and it was way too light on tofu. It can’t have much nutritional value. The summer roll was only filled with rice so pretty basic would have preferred it contain tofu for some protein. It came with a peanut sauce that tasted good. Overall the food tasted good and was reasonably priced for the area, but would probably stick with Hanco’s or the Banh Mi Place for a more fulsome banh mi."

"The Summer Rolls are a complete joke and a waste of money: It’s One tiny paper thin slice of tasteless duck or two measly shrimp sliced in half, with a piece of lettuces and a TON of dry white rice wrapped in a rice roll. There is no flavor, and you can only sop up so much of the hoisin sauce before it makes your stomach hurt. I’m sure the banh mi is fine but having those rolls on your menu is a embarrassing."

"We have eaten here several times. The first time was great. Great food, nice environment, overall good experience. We did love their pho soup and garlic noodles were great. They have a large menu and many things to choose from. Went back several times and each time has gotten progressively worse. The last time we were there, we received two things that were incorrect, some of which were charged at a higher price point. They upcharge for substitutions and don 't tell you. Tonight, the quality of the food was inedible. I ordered a grilled chicken bowl and what arrived looked like plastic. It broke in half when we bent it to show the server. Her response to us was, I never order the chicken here because they always overcook it. She did remove it from our bill but still....The last two times (we didn 't pay as much attention the first times), they added a 20% gratuity for a party of 6 when we only had 3 people at our table, and didn 't tell us. She actually denied it when we asked. I was really excited to find this new place but we won 't be coming back anymore. Goodbye Vietnam."

"My order arrived surprisingly quickly, much sooner than expected. I had the Vegetarian Tofu Sandwich and a Coffee Milk Tea. The iced coffee with boba was nice, but it wasn’t sweet at all. That’s not an issue for me, but I thought I should mention it. The tofu sandwich was just okay. I requested it to be “spicy,” and it certainly had plenty of jalapeños. There was a generous amount of tofu, which was nice, but the bread was just average and quite soft. I was a bit let down by the lack of vegetables and mayo/butter spread. It mostly had dry carrots, no daikon, just one lonely cucumber slice, and a sparse bit of cilantro. Maybe it’s just me, but I would have preferred twice as much mayo or butter. Overall, it was decent, but I wouldn’t choose it as my first option."

"A few days ago, I visited this restaurant and absolutely loved the food! As a sushi enthusiast, I found their sushi to be extremely delicious, and I’m thrilled to have a place nearby that serves good sushi and teriyaki. "Something changed for the worse and mistakes keep happening on the orders. Thought it was a fluke the 1st or 2nd time, but it continues. Such a hassle to go home and find out something is missing or meat is raw (yes RAW Very hard to get reimbursed for their mistakes. Customer service pretty bad especially when things go wrong. They're not sorry, not willing to learn from their mistakes, don't care about keeping their customers. Only care about $. It's a shame, the food is decent. But not worth the hassle of dealing with all the errors. I made no mistake in placing my orders, but did end up losing money due to their mistakes. That's just not fair! I also put in more effort to try and work something out than they did. The issues were not resolved. My family won't be coming back."
