"This is the Best, freshest Mexican food I've eaten in Palo Alto, Peninsula and South Bay. Definitely underrated! I've been to many restaurants and Lulu's is by far the best. After eating this you can feel your body energized with excellent nutrition. I can't believe how many people give poor reviews that have absolutely nothing to do with the quality of food nor the customer service. I been to this place about a dozen times and every time I visit, Always consistent, fresh and delicious. Erica and the crew are always welcoming and friendly. I worked in the restaurant industry for 25+ years and the service is always impeccable. ? I came in today to buy food for my family whom my sister is at Stanford ICU and Erica was truly compassionate about my sister's well being. I wish there was more people like Erica who love what they do and show care for others in the world. I want to express my gratitude to all of the team and Erica for showing love to my family and delivering the quality of food they produce to keep us healthy. I'll be forever customer for now on! "I come here because it's close by and I can order online. Especially if I need to have dinner at a certain time because of school events. Just recently we had Back to School night and I needed pick up dinner beforehand so that we could be at school at 5:00p. I ordered online and selected 4:15p for pick-up. When I arrived, they hadn't even started the order. And once they did, it took forever. It wasn't even ready until 4:40p. What is the point of being able to order ahead? This has happened quite often. I keep coming back because I keep hoping it's changed, but it hasn't. Lastly, the service here is very unprofessional. It feels like a bunch kids with attitude running the show. If I could help it, I would not come here ever again. However, the LuLu's every where else is good! Go there instead."

"I have been living in California for 18 years, with my husband on weekends we go to different areas and Los Altos is one of my favorites. We had lunch and stayed for coffee. Yesterday we tried this colorful place: The interior is very warm, there is order, the guys from the staff are very attentive and professional. I ordered chips and salsa and two salads and we sat outside on the wide terrace on the street to wait for the order, when I went to get it, what a pleasant surprise: the salads are huge, also delicious. It has many tables with umbrellas, the wifi is powerful and reaches well outside, by the way the key is Burritos =D the atmosphere was calm and the service was fast. It opens at 9:30 a.m. every day and from Sunday to Wednesday it closes at 8:00 a.m. Thursday to Saturday it closes at 8:30 p.m. Surely on my next visit to Los Altos I will return to this place. I highly recommend it. Update: Today we went for the second time for another great lunch with my husband, there were quite a few people in the line before me, finally a very nice guy took my order Lulu chopped Salad al Pastor and Beef Taquitos he told me that it would be ready in 10 minutes. As it was a short time I stayed inside the place and noticed that he took orders by phone too and they accumulated until there were so many that the delivery of our lunch took almost 40 minutes. It's a shame because the food is very tasty."

"This used to be a great restaurant, but not anymore. Prices have increased while the quality of the food has declined. My husband spoke to the manager, but all they offered was a vague acknowledgment. The food was very bland; the Carne Asada was tough and fatty, and the strawberry tacos were incredibly dry. When the waitress brought out the chips and salsa, she only provided half a basket for six people, which was disappointing. Additionally, the restaurant had loud music playing for their late evening entertainment, so we were frequently interrupted by sudden bursts of loud, high-pitched sounds during our meal at 6:00 PM—not exactly the vibe we were looking for, especially since we were there long before the entertainment started. I usually avoid writing negative reviews, but we’ve been loyal customers for at least eight years and remember how good it used to be. It’s definitely not the same! All we wanted was a genuine apology from the manager, but unfortunately, we didn’t receive one for the poor service."

"Their head chef, Urma made me some tri-tip burritos one day that were tender, flakey, and a spiritual experience in every bite. "My first time here and it seemed like they were not open, as the curtains were pulled down and the doors were closed. It was actually open and pretty busy on a Friday night. We found a table and were not sure if the waitress would take our orders or if we had to go to the bar. We waited for a while and my friend beat a waitress to ask. Shortly after the order. Looks like a good HH menu. My friend's mojito didn't like her. She had done it twice and both returned. The margaritas were good. There was a family downstairs and her little child stopped and looked at us. I was surprised to see children there. It was earlier, so it's probably the reason. I was also surprised how much it came out when the night came later. It seems like a beautiful place I'd look at again."

"I absolutely fell in love with this place! We stumbled upon it while searching for a seafood restaurant during our visit. After seeing the sign and reading the reviews, we decided to give it a try. And we are so glad we did! The food was fantastic, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the portions were generous. The prices were very reasonable too. The catfish was the best I have ever had, and I highly recommend trying their shrimp as well. We visit Bossier/Shreveport a few times a year, and I will definitely make it a priority to dine here every time we are in town."

"Wow. i live next door to this place and at first, i didn't realize it was this good- i had the carne asada and i thought it was alright. BUT BUT BUT, I'm all about the carnitas. The carnitas taco was literally the bomb dot com. It was crispy and soft at the same time. It wasn't dry and it was juicy but not too fatty. YOU literally HAVE to try the carnitas in any way shape or form. Also, the micheladas was *mwuah* chefs kiss. The combination of champy and the michelada was just so so good. Definitely have to try this place and you'll be happy you did : I'd say the weekdays are a lot easier and not as long of a line, so try it then :"

"The restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere with a beautiful view of the water and beach. There are many delicious options on the menu to explore. I visited with a group of five and we sampled the Nola burger, shrimp poboy, red beans and rice, boudin balls, and loaded fries. Everything tasted good, and the service was quick. I gave it four stars because some of the dishes we ordered were a bit bland. However, I would definitely return to try more items!"

"I joined a bus tour group on Halloween night, and our meals were preordered and prepaid. When we arrived, we were greeted with fresh salads on the table, complete with a selection of dressings. Our hot and delicious meals were served promptly; I enjoyed grilled fish and fries, and the portions were quite generous. We ended our meal with ice cream, which was a nice treat. However, the highlight was definitely the service. The staff was fun, entertaining, friendly, and efficient, and they frequently checked in on us. It was impressive how just two people managed the front of the house while two others worked on the grill, and they really made us feel like family. I highly recommend this place!"

"Prior to my recent visit to Ghareeb Nawaz, I had been here a couple of times before but that was more than 10 years ago. Since then, the restaurant has gotten a face lift and an upgrade. Ghareeb Nawaz is known for their homey, late night (at least in the past when I went) eats at very inexpensive prices. I was on my way back from downtown and decided to pick up dinner from here for the following night. I placed my order over the phone and was informed that it would be ready in 20 minutes and should be paid as cash only. I ordered: Butter Chicken (med spicy) Lamb Nihari (spicy) Beef Bihari Kebab (extra spicy) 2 tandoori chapati 2 paratha I got there in 20 minutes and the food was ready. We were surprised that these items were already prepared to go in the alloted time given especially how busy they were when I got there around 10 pm. I paid cash and picked up my order. One of the attendants repeated my order by looking in my carry out to confirm what I had gotten. I did not open the bag to see if everything was okay or not. Fast forward the following night at home for dinner when we sat down to eat this meal. The Butter Chicken smelled off as if it had been spoiled and was mild. The Lamb Nihari was not spicy but had decent flavor. I had to add Indian extra hot chili powder to make it spicy. The Beef Bihari Kebab was not a kebab dish but a shredded beef curry type dish and was not spicy either forget extra spicy. The only real tasty things were the parathas and tandoori chapati. This was a huge letdown for us especially given how reputed G N is and its popularity. I did not call the restaurant to complain about this as this was roughly 24 hrs later and I had not check my bag's contents at pick up. However, one thing did solidify for me that in my experience from all the visits to G N, I do not agree with any of the good or better reviews of the food from this place. The food has always been mediocre in taste. I guess that part has not changed for me in going here even after 10+ years. Sorry but I can't rate this place high on their food quality. G N is good for great prices on their extensive menu options and late night hours. It's a popular local establishment that makes the list of cheap eats on Devon Ave. and in Chicago, overall. But for me it doesn't work in terms of quality and taste of food."

"I asked to speak with the manager today to discuss some cleanliness concerns, but it seemed like he wasn't willing to take a moment to listen. Here are my specific issues: 1. The air conditioning system has dirty air ducts. 2. The filter for the air conditioner is missing. 3. There's an air duct directly above the food area, and dust is being dispersed from the open gap around it. 4. The floors are rather dirty. "This place is a bit more than just a 'hole in the wall.' They have a good-sized covered patio with movable plastic windows for rainy days, and a small corridor for indoor dining. It has a vibe reminiscent of those taco bars you find along the coast. Like those spots, it serves authentic Mexican fare, including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and classic rice and bean plates that you usually find at nicer sit-down restaurants. It’s a great option for takeout. You simply walk in, pay, and grab your order while others wait for a table. They wrap the food well, so it stays very hot by the time you get home. I noticed there are about nine of these locations, which is amusing since the food feels more like a unique mom-and-pop shop. Give it a try; you’ll surely enjoy it!"

"I had reservations to celebrate a birthday before driving there I called to make sure I can dine outside with my dog. "The service was good despite being short-staffed! Our server, who had a mustache and curly brown hair, was fantastic. He was constantly running around and working hard for us and everyone else. He definitely deserves a raise. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the shrimp was overcooked and difficult to peel in mine and my friend's orders. The seasoning and flavor were excellent though! My husband devoured his pie in seconds. It's a bit pricey in my opinion, but I suppose everything is these days."
