Sizzling, golden-brown halloumi cheese, served with a side of fresh greens and a tangy vinaigrette.

"Booked an early dinner, wanted to check this place out for a while. Having read some of the reviews, I was a little reluctant, but we were promptly seated. Ordered drinks, the bar was a little slow, but nothing to complain about. My wife ordered the steak salad, which was good. I ordered the prime burger and sweet potato fries and a salad. Burger was really good, two patties cooked to order, they brought fries instead of the sweets, but they corrected the mistake and the sweet potato fries were tasty. Would have been better hot. The salad was fresh with two big strips of bacon. Overall the food, service and ambiance of the restaurant was between fair and good. Might give them another shot, but wouldn't rush back."

"The chicken kebab was moist and nicely seasoned. The ahi tuna was also delicious! I highly recommend it! ! The cauliflower was tough and hard to cut. I had expected a burst of flavor but It was pretty bland, as was the eggplant dip. Our server was attentive and helpful, but I was disappointed to be seated by the kitchen when there were other tables open near the windows or in the main dining room. Who gets those tables I wonder? I had chosen this restaurant for a special dinner with friends because of the ambiance (which is amazing in the main room- and we didn't get to enjoy that, except for when we walked in. I wondered why we were seated in the back nook with no ambiance."

"Yesterday, I hosted my sister's bridal shower in the upstairs section of Anassa Taverna! I had seamless communication with Olga throughout the planning process, and then I was partnered with Klaudia who helped the day of! The space looked amazing, the service was incredible and the food was delicious as always. Truly was a great experience and our guests loved every detail too! Thanks for making it a special day Anassa crew"

"Had: trio dips tabbouleh and fattoush potato coriander arnabeet Sambousik Kibbeh mikliey Shish kekab The bubba ghanoush in the trio of dips was so tasty. The potato and coriander arnabeet I want to come back for. All the food was great. Only negatives of our experience was the table wobbled so had to put something underneath it and the price was a little more than we would've liked but it's understandable considering the waterside location."

"my partner and I had a wonderful night at plates! the atmosphere was perfect for talks while she was alive enough to create a beautiful energy in the room. the service was fantastic. we have both nutritional restrictions (he has zöliakie) and needed accommodation. our server was very knowledgeable and the cook offered dishes modifications so we could have our first choices from the menu. After all, it was wonderful to eat. I had the market salad dressed with salmon and maple vinaigrette and it was so artistically joined together that the combination of aromen for this simple dish made irking the unforgettable dishes (determined salad) I ever eaten. my partner had a seasonal mushroom curry and loved it. we will definitely be back too long, hopefully, while the braided short ribs are still on the menu!"
"For our second visit, the host and staff cordially seated us in the dining room, attended to us promptly and afforded us a personal visit from the friendly owner. We had read that alcoholic beverages are now being served, a wonderful and anticipated change from our first visit. Bottled water with a basket of pita and chopped marinated red pepper were offered as a complimentary starter while we reviewed the options for our meals. The menu is extensive and the portions are ample. For an appetizer, my wife I enjoyed authentic falafel with humus and arugula accompanied with a sour cream topping. Unlike what we’ve eaten in other restaurants that serve this delicacy, our appetizer was savory, nicely presented and tasted better than any we’ve had in the Capital District. For our main dishes, my wife, a vegetarian, had the eggplant salad platter with baby baked potatoes, cherry tomatoes, ample cheese topping and a sizable green salad. My dinner meal was the branzino filets, delicately and artfully arranged mashed potatoes and a green salad. Both meals were served on large plates and very hot. Neither plate had any leftovers! Completing our meal were a serving of pistachio baklava and a pot of decaffeinated rooibos tea. The ambiance and excellent service by Sean made for an extremely favorable impression on us during this follow up visit. Needless to say, we highly recommend this restaurant, and we’ll be back!"

"We have been twice in the last 2 weeks ... which describes how much we love Metro 8. The porcini mushroom noodles are my favorite along with steak and tuna. The vegetables are always so fresh and cooked perfectly. The salads are crispy and properly dressed and the wine list is huge and delicious. Perfect for dates, girls' nights or special occasions. Correctly priced for the top quality food you get. Better steaks than Angus Barn, better pasta than Maggianos and much cheaper. The terrace is our favorite dining space, but the tables inside are super romantic. We will no doubt be back soon. Great service, fantastic atmosphere, top bar and wine list and food in the region to celebrate small business ... all my favorite things! Parking is so much easier than downtown Durham and we love the taste of 9th Street. The desserts are fantastic and the coffee is delicious."

"Covid did change restaurant operations, however this restaurant didn't seem to have accommodated well with new sanitation standards. The seating arrangements were outside. When we arrived at the tables, we noticed debris on the table from the trees, which is normal for outdoors. When we sat down, the cups were preset on the table directly. So that was the first sight of uncleanliness. Secondly, the server came to serve us water. I immediately asked for a change of cup and straws to drink out of since the cups didn't seem sanitary. Next, when he was serving us water, i notice that the bottle where the water was dispensed from, was visibly dirty. The rubber part of the water bottle had build up all around the cap. I opted not to drink any of the water and instead order a peach bellini. My bf order a mimosa. When the drinks arrived, both were identical. And when i requested for more of the peach puree, i noticed it was pear. The food was not good either. I ordered the pancakes and it was raw tasting in the center and the strawberries were not fresh at all. Mushy and you can tell, it was starting to mold. I was disappointed to have spent my time here. It was not worth it at all."

"Predictably horrible service (told to wait for our reservation, then told we didn’t have one, showed them then allowed to sit and be ignored most of the night only put up with this as we had our vegetarian person with us) excellent food, right inthe middle of Lake Anne seasonal events. Maybe next time we’ll take a sampler to the brew house to be surrounded by friendlyfolk"

"I came here on NYE with my boyfriend from out of town and unfortunately we didn’t have the greatest experience. We were happy that they were able to accommodate us inside after booking an outdoor table. It took about 5 minutes for someone to come greet us and get our drink orders (me being a server here in New York and my boyfriend is a chef, we know how the restaurant business goes and things happen so we didn’t think too much of it). We asked what kind of cheese was on the cheese platter and sadly two of the servers were unable to tell us because they did not know. We got it anyway and it was pretty good as well as the Brussel sprouts. We ordered the truffle gnocchi and the crab cake burger and we both did not like it due to the gnocchi being way too salty and the crab cake was clearly old and had zero flavor. No one came by to check on us to see how we were doing and how our food was tasting until we were ready to leave. No dessert was offered either. It had so much potential and maybe we just went on a bad night but I won’t be returning unfortunately."

"Was walking around the Occoquan area, and saw Zorba's, so decided to give it a try with a friend. Unfortunately, was quite disappointed. The Food: I went with the Chicken Souvlaki for my entree, and a Gazpacho for my appetizer. I was disappointed with how little effort they put into making the dish. I paid over $20 for a dish that was plain and bland, with very few pieces of chicken. The meat was cooked nicely though, tender. But for somewhat premium prices, I would've expected a little more effort into the dish. The Gazpacho tasted fine, but again, overly priced appetizer for a little amount of food. The Service: Service was decent. We were greeted when walking into the restaurant, and was sat down immediately. The staff were very nice and friendly, but the service itself wasn't on-par. It took longer than usual for our food to get out, and mind you, it was not busy during lunch. But our patience ran thin after about 35 minutes and when we saw the food, it was quite frustrating. The Atmosphere: The restaurant is nice and small. Has a decent amount of seating and is very well kept/clean. It's nicely decorated with simple decor. There's outdoor seating as well, if the weather permits. Overall, a 1/5. Not a fan of how overly priced the food was, compared to the quality and quantity of what you get."

"I would definitely recommend this place. I cannot wait to go back. The service was amazing and the food was incredible. Not to mention the restaurant itself was so beautiful, elegant, and clean. I would recommend the house made Greek yogurt and the pork hash for breakfast/lunch. So good!"

"Had a meal with two friends, and we all enjoyed the Greek Salad with Chicken Kebab, which was very good. The pita bread was excellent, as were all the hummus options. It wasn't the restaurant's fault, but there was a bachelorette party there at the same time, and it was exceptionally loud."

"I visited oozi (em karam) with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild. The restaurant offers a fantastic variety of dishes and caters to all tastes. My daughter-in-law, who is more familiar with Mediterranean cuisine, helped me navigate the menu. We started with delicious Hummus-Eggplant Dip and a Mediterranean salad as appetizers, followed by a large and tasty sharing platter. The portions were so generous that we had leftovers to take home. I am already looking forward to my next visit!"

"Flaming cheese is a must Greek salad was amazing. We got a large one for the table Grilled shrimp three of us tried it and all liked it better than the prawns. Prawns, ironically were breaded and baked, nice alternative to frying, but they left the shell on, so difficult to eat and assess benefit of the breading Grilled octopus great, will do again Overall, louder restaurant, it’s Greek, a lot of “Opas” and breaking plates"

"This is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. First of all, they make you wait forever. The food is served cold, and the same person who answers the phone is the one making your sandwich. You can only imagine the dirty hands that go from handling the phone to preparing your food. I noticed cigarette butts from the cook on the counter. It’s clear they went straight from smoking to serving your plate without even washing their hands. If I could give them less than one star, I definitely would."

"The food was amazing, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent. Our appetizers and drinks arrived promptly, but we had to wait nearly an hour for our main course. The waitress did check in after about 30 minutes to apologize for the delay, but she didn’t provide any explanation or estimated wait time. After another half hour, I requested the check since it was getting late. To my surprise, she returned just two minutes later with our food, mentioning that they didn’t want us to leave. I find it puzzling that they were able to bring out our meals so quickly once we expressed our intent to leave. While the food was indeed delicious, the restaurant needs to improve their communication during delays to avoid leaving guests in the dark about their orders."

"the ambience is warm and relaxed, with a dimly lit dining room and a fire place but not stuffy or over the top formal. The staff were super professional and nice. The food was absolutely delicious. NO doubt I'd definitely come here outside of Restaurant Week because the prices are not overblown either.. My table of four had the Burger which was one of the best I've tasted. We had the Flatbread with BBQ chicken, the Burrata, the open faced philly cheese steak sandwich which was probably the star of the day not greasy or fake or lacking peppers or filled with weird cheese. I am telling you, you will not regret coming here and you will immediately pull out your calendar and figure out which day of next week you can spare to come back to Cellar 49."

"If I could give 10 stars I would. Everything from location, views, decor and signature Kempinski service, was impeccable. There is a ton to do in the area but we would not have known if it were not for the help from Alanoud and Lama at the concierge. They named the best restaurants, shops, transportation, etc. — it was a completely personalized experience. Emmanuel and his team are wonderful hosts and made us feel at home. I would also highly recommend paying Jalal and his colleagues a visit at Il Vero — best Italian food ever!"

"The food was quite good, but there were several issues: 1) The server didn’t write down our order for two people and ended up forgetting it, which we realized about 30 minutes later. 2) The service was extremely slow; we spent nearly two hours waiting after requesting our items. 3) My iced coffee was served without ice, which was a minor issue, but I did have to send it back. 4) The server informed us that there was no chicken sausage for our power wrap, but it turned out that the wrap didn’t even include chicken in the first place, so we ended up with turkey bacon instead. She seemed a bit confused about the ingredients for each wrap. 5) When it came time to pay, the server mixed up our checks and charged us the wrong amount, which took additional time to sort out. I probably won’t return, but it might be worth a try since other reviews don’t seem as negative. Haha."
