"We had the private event room booked for my grandfathers 90th birthday about a month in advance. On the day of, we entered the restaurant and we're told there was another party that was booked for our same time and we were essentially forced to leave because the people in our party are elderly and cannot be in a shared space as it is loud and crowded. Hence why we booked the private room in the first place. Just be aware of you are trying to plan a party here..."

"Came for restaurant week and left highly disappointed. First, when we arrived, no one was at the hostess stand to acknowledge us. We stood there for several minutes trying to figure out if we should seat ourselves, or if we were even in the right are. A waitress finally noticed us and came over to say someone would be right over. Next, I got the “betta bruschetta” as my appetizer with restaurant week. There was hardly any cheese on the bread and the appetizer itself was lackluster. Soggy bread with a pea-sized amount of cheese and tomatoes. Very disappointing. For our main course we ordered the salmon and the sirloin. Asked for the sirloin to be cooked medium, it came out still mooing. Asked for the salmon to be cooked medium rare and was informed “we don’t take special order does our salmon.” The salmon came out over cooked, dry, flavorless, and impossible to eat. I literally had to take my entire salmon home after one bite because it was THAT bad. We also took the steak home because it was inedible. It took an hour for our entrees to come out and we were not waiting around for a re-fire. Most of our experience at this restaurant was spent listening to the waitresses and the hostess argue about where to sit people and who to not seat because they didn’t have reservations. These conversations were held on the dining floor in front of everyone. Lastly, the restaurant itself is situated inside a hotel. Which we didn’t think anything of until we watched multiple hotel guests walk through the restaurant to access the hotel. Guests who were dirty and stared at you while you were dining. It felt extremely awkward and gross. There should be something to block hotel guests from using the restaurant as a cut-through. We will never be back. We wasted $75 and 2 hours of our time and still left hungry."

"We were welcomed warmly and seated promptly. The server was friendly and very helpful! The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. We came for trivia night and had a blast, laughing together and enjoying the atmosphere. It felt like a close-knit community, and everyone was so friendly. We truly felt welcome and became part of the fun. We had a wonderful time and are already looking forward to dining there again!"

"The food was good, with some interesting combinations of ingredients beyond what are typical in pita sandwiches. For example, including sautéed onions and mushrooms is unusual in a gyro, but worked well. The steak pita with Swiss cheese was also very good, and the fries were crispy and well seasoned. It is for these reasons I rated 4 rather than 3. The food seems more Greek-American fusion than authentic Greek, but certainly was tasty. The atmosphere is typical counter-ordering basic. Unfortunately, each time someone opened the front door, the napkins etc went flying around our table (admittedly it was getting a little breezy outside, but patrons enter directly into the dining table area)."

"Ive never heard of this place until they supposedly catered at my job through fooda. First of all the taste was disgusting. One bite in and i threw up. Continued gagging nonstop at the after taste left in my mouth. Went to the restroom since i started feeling sick and i had a hard time focusing after that. Not only was the taste inedible but it was COLD. Frozen Cold. Chicken looked black and soggy . Was it the chicken or the seasoning they used ? I dont even know it was just terrible. I love Mediterranean food and was looking forward to a warm yummy shawarma just to be disappointed terribly. Zero stars if possible. Never purchasing from this business gain. Id prefer to go hungry."

"Ordered the fried catfish jambalaya with a side order of hush puppies and 3 piece catfish basket that includes fries and hush puppies with coleslaw. The temperature and taste of the food was good. The jambalaya was a bit spicy for my taste, and the catfish was thinly cut. So much so that sections of the pieces were too hard to consume. The sweet tea mixed with fresh lemonade was very good. The hush puppies were excellent; the side order was huge. Very much worth the extra $2! Would visit again but would order more pieces of catfish if getting the basket again."

"I want to start by saying the waitress was very friendly and did a great job, but the problems were elsewhere. During my first visit, the service was disappointing, and on my second visit, the food I received had a strange smell and tasted off, making me reluctant to eat it. To be sure, I even asked my wife to try it, but she wouldn’t eat it because of the smell. When I raised my concerns with management, I spoke to someone who said they were the owner. Their response was shocking: "I don’t know how it’s supposed to taste, and if you leave a bad review, we can sue you under the new laws." That’s really all I can say about this place."

"We came here for an early dinner (4:30) on a Saturday. We had a reservation, and we were promptly seated, and we were allowed to choose if we wanted to sit inside or out. We opted for outside. Both the inside and outside of the restaurant are beautiful. Our waiter was very friendly, and he checked on us regularly. They have a good selection of beers from local breweries. We started out with a pretzel and fried cauliflower, and I highly recommend the cauliflower! It was so good! For the main course, I had a burger, and I would definitely recommend it! It was a great experience!"

"First of all let me say that the food was good, for the most part. In particular I'm speaking of the fried fish that I had. However, there were so many other things wrong that this one truth pales in comparison. When we first arrived at the restaurant there was no one there at the door to greet us. There was someone standing there. But he didn't greet us. My wife had to greet him before he said a word to her! That should have been the first sign of what we were in for. We were sat at a table in the bar area, and given two menus. The table we were sat was way in the corner, facing an unfinished wall, with a lot of exposed pipes sticking out of it! Then another woman came and offered us Bar menus. BUT NO ONE EVER came to see about us! I actually had to go and find a waiter to take care of us. When that waiter did come, he was very polite. And seemed to be very attentive. He took our drink orders (we asked for water with lemon). But, I think he forgot all about us after he took our drink orders. He never did come back with our water. The bartender saw our situation and gave us some water. THEN he showed up with our water! After that, he took our food orders. I ordered the fish and waffles, with grits. My wife ordered the Gold Coast skillet. And, again I believe he completely forgot about us. We sat a long time and by the time we got our food it was cold! I guess it became apparent that we weren't very happy with how we were being treated. Someone who we believe to have been the owner, or perhaps a manager, came over to the table to ask us how we were enjoying our meal. I told him about some of the problems that we were having. He apologized, and told us that he was going to fire this waiter. To my wife and I that seemed very unprofessional! Then, he was followed by the host (who didn't greet us in the first place) asking the same questions as the manager. I told him that my food had gotten cold. So he offered to get me some more grits. During the periods of our apparent non-existence, my wife noted that those of a particular ethnic background were being greeted and seated much more quickly than those of another ethnic background. But, I won't say anything more on that topic. It was just an observation. So all in all, I'd say, don't eat in. And think about it veggie you order out. The fish is the only reason I didn't give this place 1 star!"

"Food tastes great and have decent price. Dessert tastes great. Bad part: The owner (I'm assuming the owner since he tells everyone else what to do), sits at one of the table and watch things on his device loudly. He also talks on his phone using speaker. Normally it not a big deal but there is no background music in the restaurant. I had to sit through my meal hearing random things coming from his device. And seriously, he blasted the sound on his device. The owner also took"

"We recently dined at Golf’s Steak House as part of a group of approximately 24 people. Of course we had reserved and were placed in a nicely appointed private room. The staff was lovely we had two servers as well as a young man that ground the pepper, etc. We were well looked after in that regard. However….the food was mediocre at best. My husband had a 10 oz strip steak that was overcooked. The presentation was horrible a chunk of meat, a few roasted beets and a moderate sized serving of some kind of rice pilaf were just plopped on the plate. I ordered the chicken Oscar. The breast was overcooked, and it was covered with about a teaspoon of crab, six chunks of asparagus and maybe 1.5 tablespoons of béarnaise sauce. The meal came with soup (we had clam chowder), and that came out warm, not hot, and a small salad that was OK. The garlic toast was slathered in butter to the point of dripping butter. We were certainly disappointed in the meal."

"Worst customer service for such a staple in Winters... we arrived for our reservation which we made days in advanced and asked to be seated inside. Upon arrival we were told that they had no tables available but that she would get us seated as soon as possible. We then were called and told that she already pre assigned tables and that we would have to sit out side because she wasn't going to rearrange the seating chart. I'm so sorry but we asked for indoor seating along with our reservation so I don't understand the disconnect. I then reminded her that we requested indoor seating and that a couple just walked out from an indoor spot she again said oh well I won't be changing the seating. I then stated we would find somewhere else to eat and walked away and the hose began pointing and loudly stating did you hear that he was mad we didn't put them inside.. and the manager told her to stand her ground and it didn't matter what request was made on our reservation.. Are we kidding?!??! I have a skin condition where I can't sit on your unshaded street to enjoy my dinner I apologize if You can't accommodate your guests even after two days ago the hostess stayed she would ensure our table was inside.... Avoid this place at all cost."

"I went to Almalfiâs for the first time in many years as a Bloomingdale resident. I was pleasantly surprised, I was truly looking for a romantic date night (which I got, just not the way I expected) at a local restaurant: I was expecting something dimly lit, over the top aesthetics etc. â your stereotypical fancy night out. What I got was a perfect neighborhood restaurant that was absolutely better than than stereotypical. Our waitress was polite, helpful and timely, the food was amazingâ no really, it was phenomenal. Nothing was served on fancy plates, the silverware was boring, the ambiance was more Greek restaurant than upscale Italian, and the wine list was tiny... and yet I was impressed by what matters more, the staff, the food, and my overall experience. Iâll be back again."

"Our youngest son announced we was getting married last winter and we were looking for restaurants for the rehearsal dinner. Early on I mentioned Enotria but thought it may be too expensive. We were also looking for a catering place for the wedding. After months of attending wedding events, visiting restaurants, ect we ended up realizing that A. Enotria was reasonably priced and B. After visiting the restaurant and talking with Paolo that it was the place to go and we ended up deciding to do both the reception dinner and the off site catering dinner for the wedding. While finalizing the plans we decided to go to dinner and met Anna the other manager as well. She was so wonderful, personal and reassuring we felt like family. The reception dinner was fantastic, we had the patio to ourselves and the staff did a great job being attentive and efficient. Anna called the wedding day to confirm everything and also let us know that they would allow us to use the food warmers for the wedding as well which was a huge blessing. The food was incredible, better than we expected. We had ordered lasagna , chicken alfredo, salad and bread and had more than enough. The lasagna in particular was the best I've ever had, lots of meat, no skimping and was very filling. I highly recommend Enotria for a date night, reception dinner, wedding, ect and it will be our first choice to go out from now on. A big thank you to everyone there!"

"The food was amazing. Customer service fair. My server charged us for a kids meal when on Wednesdays kids eat free. Otherwise, I enjoyed my fried fish, mac n cheese, greens, yams and corn bread. The others in my party got the traditional meal which waschicken with waffles. The fish was fried to perfection; crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Yum Yum, those wafflesare the best...buttery n soft,Ahhh!!! Each dish was cooked with love?? AND the ambience is superb brick walls and dim lightswith a cool breeze. Bring a jacket)"
