"This place is a mystery to customers AND staff. Clearly they do a bulk of their business under the other name on the sign. Their fish is exceptionally average as is the chicken. Their soda fountain machine is on point with the mix and the hush puppies are BANGIN! Go here just for the hush puppies and you won't be mad. Avoid everything else here at all costs until they take things more seriously and show up and show out."

"This is the absolute worst long john silver's location with super rude workers. I always cut fast food workers some slack because it’s not fun making minimum wage and getting yelled at all the time by customers, but my god, the people working here are HORRIBLE. The girl who took my order said that they don’t have any fish items…at freaking long john silvers. Right after I asked, “there’s no fish at long john silvers?” but then she went back on what she said because they are made to order and I’d have to wait, which I didn’t mind at all. I ordered and they said they don’t have crumblies at this location, which is a lie because they’re literally just the bits you scrap out, but whatever I let it go again. But then they claimed that the 12 piece family meal must be 6 chicken and 6 fish, which is also a lie and you choose which you want (it’s literally on the website). The one girl dropped my change then couldn’t find it and claimed that they have to take it out of my change back, but I let it go because I know they would’ve got in trouble for having a short drawer. After all that, I pulled up, waited for my order then once they came they did the most aggressive hand off ever? Idk if they were just having a bad day or if I just have a very dislikable aura because they were absurdly rude. Oh also, Hayley/Hailey if you see this, I hope you're having a day"

"I visited around 1PM. The food came out pretty quickly, and was good.The building could be freshened up a bit inside and out, but overall not a bad place for some good food.Not the fault of A&W Long John Silvers, but do be aware that the local area has a lot of less than upstanding individuals, many of whom are of low IQ, or stoned out of their minds on something. So, don't be surprised by strange people approaching you out of nowhere attempting to talk to you incoherently, while gesturing to the sky. Yes this happened to me at this location. Be aware of the crazies, and your surroundings."

"The employees working tonight were awesome. They were very polite and friendly. I asked if I could wait for fresh fries and it wasn't a problem at all! "I visited this restaurant shortly after it reopened, and while it was decent, it didn't stand out. However, my most recent visit two weeks ago was quite disappointing, and I have no plans to return. The prices are exorbitant given the quality of the food. The fish had a greasy texture, almost like a sponge, and the fries were rubbery, indicating they may have been sitting out before being served. The hushpuppy was unappetizing—greasy and overcooked, and when you broke it open, it was almost empty inside. If you hope to stay in business, I suggest getting new management. When I called to speak with the manager, it turned out to be the same person who served me at the window. They were unfriendly and unable to answer my questions properly, bluntly stating through the speaker that they could provide the information but wouldn't. All I wanted to know was the price of the chicken strips without a meal."

"We were unable to order a rice bowl as they were out of rice. Instead, I chose the 2-piece fish meal with two sides and hush puppies. However, I ended up not receiving the hush puppies I ordered. The fish was very greasy and seemed to have been fried in old oil, giving it a disappointing taste. Overall, it was a negative dining experience."

"I'm a huge fan of Long John Silver's and I truly believe they have the BEST chicken strips ever. I've been craving them for a long time, but since there's no LJS nearby, I've been coming to this place instead. The staff is generally friendly but can be a bit off-putting at times. Prices are quite reasonable, and the location is always kept clean. An added bonus is that Arby's is in the same building, so you can grab some of their delicious horsey sauce as well!"

"I ordered an 8-piece family deal that included 4 fish and 4 chicken pieces, but I was charged for a 12-piece instead. The receipt correctly listed 4 chicken and 4 fish, so there was some confusion. However, the customer service was excellent and they handled everything well. I only discovered the mix-up when I got home, which is an hour away. Despite the order being mixed up, the staff were very kind and understanding. I don't want to complain too much, as they really went above and beyond in their service. I’m giving 5 stars solely for the outstanding customer service!"

"This is one of our favorite places to eat in Spartanburg when we are out of town and meet with family. We've been here many times. The last time we went, they didn't bring me the rest of my order. We waited and sat for a couple of hours as a family patiently. We ordered a lot of food and even went back for dessert. After we finished we went out to our cars and talked at our cars. They called the law on us and said we were suspicious car activity. I am very disappointed with them now. That was do disrespectful and wrong to treat GOOD customers that way. We never want to go back again."

"On June 9, 2024, we decided to stop at Long John Silver's on our way home. The service was excellent. Since it was a Sunday, we chose the all-you-can-eat fish and chicken special, which also includes two sides and hush puppies. It’s a fantastic deal, even if you only manage to eat one plate—I certainly had more than I could finish. The food was served in a timely manner and was piping hot, right out of the fryer. We also took home a couple of slices of chocolate cheesecake for dessert. I rated the atmosphere lower mainly due to the strong fryer smell during our visit. I'm not sure if there were ventilation issues, but it was noticeable in the air."

"My family and I dined at the restaurant and were the only customers at the time of our visit. The man who took our order was friendly, but seemed unfamiliar with the menu. He incorrectly stated that combos did not include drinks, despite a sign indicating otherwise. The tables were dirty and were not cleaned during our visit. Our food took a while to arrive, but it was hot. However, my mom's chicken strips were actually chunks of breast meat fried in breading meant for fish. The chicken was rubbery and had a fishy taste. Additionally, the French fries, hamburger, and Coney dog also had a fishy flavor. Everything, except the root beer floats, tasted like fish. Despite being a Long John Silver's, not everything should taste like it was fried in cod. A photo has been included to show the misleading chicken strips."

"I used to love this restaurant in general (not just location specific as I 'm not from here. However, this location is disgusting inside and out. The owner should be ashamed. The food was ok but honestly I felt guilty touching it seeing how disgusting it was inside. The staff seemed courteous minus some unheard remarks about us eating in here that I couldn 't make out the entirety of. Almost every single table was dirty, floor greasy, leftover sauce packets tossed here and there. The trash can by the exit door was bagless and pulled out in front of the door. We just left our stuff on the table since I didn 't see anyone up at the counter at this point. In their defense they were cleaning I think. All the same this is the last time we will be here which I 'm sure doesn 't matter but maybe a GM or the owner will see this and know the truth. Someone needs to step up and freshen things a bit before yet another Long John 's shuts it 's doors down."

"Honestly the service was good and fast. It was too fast! I ordered a number 10 two-piece fish with six shrimp and two sides. I rarely check my order from there because they've always been good about getting it correct but when I got home this time I opened the box and there was no shrimp I called the location surprisingly they picked up I let them know what had happened they told me to come back down and they would make it right. when I got there they replaced the whole meal. "This place is fantastic! The food is prepared better than at any of the other locations. I always order the 16-piece family meal because I have a large family, and it’s more than enough to feed us. The staff is friendly and provides excellent customer service. I usually call ahead to place my order so I don’t overwhelm them when we arrive. "I've read some reviews complaining about the food being greasy, but come on! That's part of the charm! Haha. Yes, it can be rich, but it’s not overwhelming at all. Everything tasted amazing, and I was really pleased despite some of the concerns I had from other reviews. The Long John Silver's food I saved for later was perfectly up to my expectations. I’ve never tried their popcorn shrimp before, but my kids loved it, and I had to give it a taste too. It was simple yet satisfying. Plus, it’s very affordable! I ordered a serving of fish, two orders of popcorn shrimp, and a small order of six hush puppies. The hush puppies were fried to a perfect golden brown and piping hot. Everything was fresh and delightful. I'm really happy with my meal! Thanks so much! I’m in town for work, but I'm originally from Richmond, TX."

"On a positive note, I was surprised by how clean the bathrooms were. I needed to use them and was a bit hesitant, but I found them satisfactory. They could certainly use some attention as well, but they were still much cleaner than the rest of the restaurant. Someone really needs to take the time to clean this place up.
