"I had heard numerous positive reviews about this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try, and I absolutely loved it! The chefs really know their flavors! We ordered crabs, chicken, and steak, and we enjoyed every dish. The steak was exceptionally delicious, and the Caesar salad was the best I’ve ever had! The desserts were phenomenal as well. The food truly made our hearts happy! As a 9-month-pregnant woman, I wasn’t too comfortable at our table, so we requested a different one, and they accommodated us even though it was a busy night. We will definitely be returning to Lavender!"

"This is my favorite Mexican place in town. They have great American style Mexican food. It's *almost* authentic but not so heavy on the cilantro and jalapenos which is how I prefer mine. Normally their service is impeccable but this trip was very slow and not the usual attention to detail. It won't stop me from going back but I hope it doesn't become a trend."

"What a delightful Mexican restaurant! Everything was fantastic. The wait was short, the staff was friendly and attentive, the restaurant was clean, the music added to the atmosphere, and the food, oh my goodness, it was amazing. There are many Mexican restaurants around, but this one truly exemplifies great Mexican cuisine. My partner had the medium rare carne asada, which melted in their mouth. I had the spinach enchiladas with white sauce, and they were the best I have ever tasted. If you're looking for a great Mexican restaurant, this is it! We will definitely be coming back, and we will bring anyone we want to impress here."

"Love love this place! They always greet you on the phone so nice and welcoming . Very fast and accommodating to difficult orders . And the food is fresh and delicious ! I recommend the salmon so delicious and the calzone my boyfriend ordered looked mouth watering ! Also went in one day and orderd a smoothie! Was absolutely refreshing and delicious. Delivery is fast! "This was our third time in 4 years at Gilbey’s celebrating vacation my birthday. It was incredibly disappointing. The wait staff was not up to the standard set by previous experience. Our food order was wrong not up to the flavor quality of the past. I ordered a steak (medium) with a baked potato. I was served a very very well done steak mashed potatoes. The manager was kind enough to have another steak cooked for me but it came out almost raw. She noticed as soon as I cut into it immediately took it back to the kitchen. It came back out cooked correctly but covered in such a large quantity of spices that I couldn’t taste the flavor of the steak. The baked potato I received was the best part of the meal. I don’t usually complain about food if the service is really good nor do I complain about service if the food is good. Unfortunately both were terrible so here we are. We weren’t offered any discount on the bill which is fine, I only add that detail for frame of reference. We won’t be returning to Gilbey’s again on future visits to Orange Beach."

"We got there a few minutes early, and waited in the area set aside for waiting inside. Everyone including staff, and patrons were following Covid guidelines so I felt fine waiting inside. We were sat at our reservation time. The food was very good, and both of us enjoyed our meals. I had the Cali omelet, and my husband had the cheeseburger. The service was good also. The atmosphere was a bit noisy as it was Super Bowl Sunday, but we didn’t mind. It was nice seeing people excited for something finally. We certainly will be back for Brunch again. We have been several times for dinner, this was our first time for brunch."

"I used to work nearby and really enjoyed visiting Double Dose for lunch. The same two friendly faces are always there, and the food is consistently fresh and well-prepared! They have a great selection of drinks, including coffees and smoothies, along with a variety of lunch options. Even though I no longer work in Linwood, I still make it a point to stop by on weekends for a quick meal. I highly recommend Double Dose Deli; it's definitely a clean and inviting place!"

"I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. We were meeting my sister here and it was such a wonderful experience. The waitress didn't mind when my curious godson wanted to ask questions or talk to her. An older gentleman even took the time to speak to him and give him a hug. Just their patience alone shows how great of a person they are. The food is to die for!! It was out of this world delicious! We all had the vegetarian plate and there were so many options, we all had different things. My only regret is that I live so far away. All their kindness is packed into the food's flavor. Very nice ambience. A wonderful place for a family meeting or a date."

"The Greek Filet Mignon was absolutely fantastic! It had a wonderful array of flavors and was incredibly tender with a great mouthfeel. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to order a baked potato as a side (even though it wasn’t on the menu) and mixing the sauce and vegetables from the steak with the potato was delightful! The service, however, was a bit slow, likely due to not having enough staff on duty. We had to ask multiple times for a refill on our water. Unfortunately, the desserts weren't available for takeout, and since we were quite full, we decided to skip them. Overall, it's a lovely place for a special occasion!"
