"the food was really good! we order the yogurt parfait served with honey and fresh berries it was beyond delicious the pancakes were super fluffy and excellent as well as the avocado toast honestly it was really good I'll be back! just FYI you have to order and pay before you get seated... so I don't know how it works if you decide to order something else while you're eating... also all the staff was super nice and friendly."

"This diner is fantastic! It's clean, respected, and overall very pleasant. The omelette could have had a bit more bacon, but the service was extremely quick and the portion size was perfect. "I just moved here from NY and I was a little homesick for good pizza. This pizza exceeds al expectations. It was excellent. My boyfriend who has lived in Bergen County his whole life said that this was hands down the best pizza he?s had here. The salad was great, the chicken was perfect. But most importantly, the customer service was top of the line. The woman on the phone was a sweetheart and so welcoming and friendly when we came to pick up. Prices are decent, too. 10/10 would recommend and we?ll absolutely be coming back frequently since it?s just around the corner."

"we had a reservation of 7 o'clock, eating was empty, but filled within an hour. we ordered drinks, and when they were delivered, we ordered our meal. our appetizer was very good, and the dishes were never taken away, our waiter came and asked if we ordered our main course. the service was very slow. there was only one waiter and two bus boys, for the whole dining room. not wise for a Valentine's Day evening. there was much help in the bar."

"Let me start off by saying..There isn't many better options to have Italian food in NY and that includes NYC..The service, the food the atmosphere is impeccable. The chicken scarpariello is the best i have ever had. The chicken is always cooked to perfection, sliced thin potatoes, fresh sausage, mushroom onion along with a rich sauce that is out of this WORLD. I also get a side of pasta with garlic and oil as well. Their grandma slice is GREAT. the sauce, the crust and the cheese are all cooked flawlessly. Angelo the owner is such a welcoming and pleasant guy. Our server Wilda was amazing and attentive. I can't wait to go back!"

"so enjoyed my birthday party Saturday evening with staci take care of us! it's always mine to sit in one of the Staci tables/boats because we have such a fun rapport with her! She knows our names, remembers our cocktails that we like, offers great suggestions for appetizers and entrees, and makes our culinary experience wonderful! we had the hummus again, so delicious! I enjoyed my two lavender lemongrass martinis, then the ruby red trout entree it was so delicious! staci made suggestions for my birthday dessert and we went with the warm apple cruci with vanilla ice cream, it was divine! another great culinary experience in tavern! thank staci for my birthday dinner speciality!"

"My family and I have dined at Uncle Bernie's deli restaurant several times and each visit has been satisfying. Situated in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, this is our go-to spot for New York-style deli cuisine. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and the portions are generous. I typically order the open-faced Pastrami and Chopped Liver sandwich with a side of fries, while my wife opts for their half sandwich/half soup combo (often the delightful mushroom and barley). "One's first impression is this is not a dine-in restaurant. Inside, we were led to a small isle of about six tables along street facing windows. We were seated at one of those, a scarred wooden table and wooden chairs with cracked plastic seat cushions. While waiting for a fourth guest to arrive, we ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer. The wine list was minimal, but I chose what appeared to be their best offering, a Brunello di Montalcino from an unfamiliar producer. Our server first brought a wrong bottle, not the Brunello, and went back for the correct one. When she inserted her waiter's corkscrew, the cork immediately began to crumble, not a sign of good storage. She left with the bottle, presumably to get a different one, but another employee returned with the same bottle, apparently having more expertise with opening wine bottles. I expressed concern about the dry cork and asked if the bottle had been stored upright instead of on its side? She said all their wines were stored upright! I said to go ahead and see if the cork could be removed without crumbling into the wine, and I would taste it to determine if it was still good. Fortunately, the rest of the cork was removed and appeared to have maintained a secure seal between the wine and air. There was no off taint on the nose and it tasted free of oxidation- OK to drink. Our calamari appetizer arrived and we were pleasantly surprised after our initial impressions. The calamari rings were lightly breaded, perfectly prepared and served with a very flavorful and nicely spiced dipping sauce. Our fourth guest arrived and we ordered our entrees. We had never received a bread basket, which was finally noticed by another employee. Three of us had different pasta dishes and the fourth chose salmon with vegetables. Those of us with pasta, all enjoyed our meals; but my other guest thought her salmon was too bland. Bottom line: Food was good, service was poor, and not for wine lovers."

"Eaten here a couple times now and found the food both very tasty and also quite competitively priced for kosher food. The baguettes used for their sandwiches, seem to be baked in house and the portions were quite substantial as well as filling. There was a choice of seating but the restaurant was certainly not empty and the staff behind the counter were both knowledgeable of the menu options and friendly. There were a few delivery bikes outside, so they must also do some deliveries but I don't know the range? All in all it's certainly quite a good place, I'll certainly come again when I'm in the neighborhood."

"we had a new waitress, laekyn, she needs more training. she didn't know much about the beer, she messed up our order. my man didn't get both meats on his fajita. I asked for my steak medium. it came with so much pink, I had to send it back. it wasn't cooked enough when I got it back. She didn't check us much. the door for the disabled entrance brought cold air into the room. I went to the bathroom. it must be updated as well as the next room where we sat. the bathroom had an old drier that didn't work. it must be removed. the kissing on one of the benches has been divided and must be replaced. eating was good what we got, taking out the problems I mentioned. we didn't get another drink or dessert because we didn't want to spend more money. we were already disappointed. we celebrated our jubilee and don't go out much. it was disappointing that when we got the opportunity to go out, our dinner experience was so poor. we had a gift card and they gave us a little discount so we didn't have to pay anymore. "I had the most amazing homemade chicken burger paired with a Greek side salad. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious! Typically, when dining out, you might encounter disappointing, hard pink tomatoes, but not here. The tomato on my burger was the freshest and ripest I've seen in ages, complemented by fresh cucumbers, pickled onions, feta cheese, and an incredible seeded bun—so tasty! My side salad was beautifully arranged, featuring diced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, Greek olives, feta cheese, sliced onions, and a delicious dressing. The burger was served with two super crispy onion rings that were just perfect! I’m usually not a fan of diners, but this place has won me over, and I’ll definitely be coming back many times. As for the other meals at our table, I could easily spend hours talking about those, as they all looked fantastic too!"

"This is a review for their lunch buffet: Their lunch buffet is about $16, which sounds steep, but it 's actually reasonable, once you know what you 're getting. Though I 'm not sure if it 's the biggest indian buffet in New England like they claim, it is indeed bigger than any buffets I 've seen in the area. Also, you get an assortment of drinks included in your purchase there was unlimited soda, bottled water, tea, and MANGO LASSI. There was also plenty of protein, and the goat meat was quite good. Also, their Tamarind sauce is on point. In the last couple years, I 've seen some other indian buffets cheap out and their Tamarind sauces taste terrible now. But these guys have good Tamarind sauce. Staff is friendly too."

"The food IS good, HOWEVER, they could have sent me to the hospital or even worse killed me. I went to eat my food and found shrimp in my salmon lo mein; I am allergic to shelled fish. When I called, I was simply told to bring it back for a new one (as if I had all of the time in the world) but there was no apology. I was told the cook said yes, I did it by mistake. (WOW!)I was left starving at work as I had to wait until my work day was to go back. When I took it back, I had to explain what happened ALL OVER AGAIN. There was no note left for the new shift?! It is a big deal to make the mistake of putting shrimp in someone 's food who is allergic to shelled fish. They did offer to remake the food but I declined and asked for a refund. The fact that, no one apologized and no one on the staff saw fit to explain the HUGE MISTAKE to the next shift showed that something like that can easily happen again."
