"I wanted to try annie o's kitchen already a 'cause. I am always looking for a good place to enjoy fried chicken, and annie o 's is on some published lists of places that serve it appeared. So, my wife and I gave it a try and we're glad we did. we came to dinner at 5 o'clock and the restaurant was empty at that time. it became more busy when we were there, and at 6:00 the place was almost full. we were produced to a table next to an attractive wall of wood crates from san jose, California. we are native southern Californias, so these Californian crates found fascinating. san jose is located around 3,000 km from hilton head island. we asked ourselves what the story was about the crates. how did they come here? why California crates in south carolina? well, I have made a fast Google search and discovered that zoria farms, the brand on the crates, closed in 2008, so you insisted on old crates are available for online purchase. the secret is solved. Anyway, I'm breaking. we found the inner of annie o's simple but tastefully decorated with a southern farm feeling. it was clean and pleasant. the inner is actually more appealing than the outer. the outside is rather not descriptive. but as they judge a book through its cover, they can always judge a restaurant on its outside. I ordered what I was looking for: fried chicken. it comes with a cookie and two sides. the sides I chose were greens and sweet potatoes. my wife ordered jumbo chicken strips with sweet potato mashines and homemade brans. my huh was very good. it had a nice crispy outer and the meat was perfectly cooked, but not dried. the chicken had a light, brownish taste on what I suspect is from soaking in buttermilk before cooking. the sides were all excellent. my wife really enjoyed the baked beans, and I thought that the crooked greens and sweet potatoes were both very tasteful and complicated the fried huh perfect. my wife ordered a limonade and I got an unsweetened icy to accompany our meals. both were very good. the limonade was exactly the right balance of sweet and tart, and my icy was crunchy and clean. our server was pleasant and competent, eating came in a reasonable time, and my wife and I agreed that we would enjoy a return trip. Although that was good, there are some other dishes that I would like to explore: meat leaflets, huh n dumplings, garnel and goose."
