"We have been wanting German food for a while and decided to give this a try. The restaurant definitely gives you a German feel when you arrive. Nice little outdoor beer garden if it's nice out. Nice selection of German beers on draft. I ordered the four beer flight. It was good but the server didn't tell me what beer was what. Other than that the server was very nice and did a good job. We were disappointed with the food however. We ordered the pretzel and it was big and good. Perfect to share for a few people. The entrees were the most disappointing part. The best item was the veal schnitzel and the red cabbage. Good amount of food and cooked perfect. The house special Sweinhaxe was big but the skin was not crispy at all. The crispy skin on this dish is what makes it good. The duck was also not crispy and not the best. The Rouladen was nice and tender and did taste good. We didn't order dessert so I don't know how that is. Overall the server was very nice, beer was good but the food disappointed and the entrees are not cheap. Most entrees are $26-$36 so not cheap when the food is just ok. Probably wont come back here to eat. Good place to come and drink some good beer and listen to live German music when they have it."

"I 've been coming here quite literally for 20 or more years. Goodies has always been a staple in my childhood and adult life. The rib tips are always delicious and the sides always fire. Service was rocky in past years but it 's improved up until last night. I was having a bad day so my boyfriend picked me up some and he had a horrible experience. This was only his second time in and he wasn 't 100% sure on the process and trusted the take out person to ask him all the right questions. David r was so busy asking my boyfriend if he was sureeee he didn 't need anything else multiple times throughout ordering and even after he finished in a tone that made him incredibly uncomfortable, he didn 't ask what kind of bread he wanted. So we got a huge chunk of corn bread that looked like he picked it up with his hands. Then after a 30 minute drive we discovered a set of sides and the other corn bread we never requested was missing. Not to mention there was mac and cheese all over the bag and sides and i could see the shredded cheese on and in the Mac. Whoever was cooking last night completely missed the mark and David made the entire experience uncomfortable. Very disappointed. However props to the nice woman working the front last time we came in and the older gentleman with the braids. I know every time they 're in the experience and food will be amazing."

"The next day, I noticed that not only was I charged for food I never received—despite the order failing to go through—but the charge was somehow tripled, taking about $18 from my account. I promptly contacted customer service, which involved submitting the same complaint four times before I was finally directed to the correct form. After submitting that form, I received a popup thanking me for my feedback and vaguely promising that someone would be in touch. When the email response arrived, it was from a customer service representative who essentially told me that I was out of luck unless I could figure it out myself or wait for the charges to drop off automatically. If you think I'm overreacting and that it's just $18, keep in mind I’m a single mom of three, and that amount makes a significant difference for things like getting my kids to school this week or providing field trip money. Overall, this felt like a clear act of theft with no effort to resolve the issue they caused."

"After noticing this restaurant for the past few years, I decided to finally try it out tonight. I ordered the ribeye steak cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, I found the steak to be too tough for my liking and had to send it back. The waitress was very understanding and offered to either cook me another steak or provide a substitute dish. I opted for a different main course, but by then my wife had already finished her meal, so I took the rest of my food home. Despite the disappointing steak, I appreciate that steaks can vary in quality depending on the cow, so I'm willing to give this place another chance. The staff was friendly and the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. It's just unfortunate that my experience ended on a negative note, especially after hearing so many positive reviews about this place."

"When we got there there was absolutely no one inside. The two workers were sitting in the booths on their phones. Me and my boyfriend ordered 2 small ice creams for ourselves and I asked if they had anything smaller or a kids size for my son who was in the car with my mom. We were told they had a half size but it was for kids 3 or younger. I said yes my son is just in the car. The girl then very rudely told me that they had to be in the store to order it. Like is it that big of a deal? If I would have gone in with my son and ordered the half size but I ate it would they have come over to me to say something? lol just ridiculous."

"The lobby was closed for some reason, which was frustrating. After getting off I-16, I still had to sit in my car to place my order and eat it. On the positive side, the bathroom was clean, so that’s a plus. It seemed like the owner, perhaps a little smug, put up a sign claiming they were short-staffed, which I assume is why the service was slow. If I had to guess, the owner probably thinks paying minimum wage is sufficient and wonders why no one wants to work these days, blaming the staffing issues on that. The drive-thru was extremely slow. In my opinion, there are plenty of workers available these days if they're compensated fairly. The owner’s struggle to hire and retain staff reflects poorly on the brand."
