"The service we received at this restaurant was very friendly and attentive. We chose to split the antipasti for one, which was simple with only cold cuts and two slices of provolone, but it lacked dressing. My companion ordered the lasagne, which was a good size and delicious, although he was informed that it was meatless when it wasn't. I decided on the Veal Marsala with mushrooms, which was tasty and had tender veal (something rare in most restaurants). The portions were generous and reasonably priced. Despite not being in my neighborhood, I would probably come back again."

"This was my first visit and I was very pleased with the food and the service. Everyone as friendly and we were greeted as we approached the counter. It's a seat yourself environment so nothing crazy as you walk through the door, just head to the counter and order. The food came out hot and fresh. The portion sizes were more than enough to be full and grab a to-go box worth. The men's bathroom smelled and looked clean. Most restaurants miss the mark on either of those but this one did not. 10/10 would recommend!"

"I want to start off saying, I’m not slamming the bar/restaurant… but be aware of how much you’re charged. We had dinner reservations at 5pm and arrived early. Decided to have a drink in the bar. Bought two cocktails looked at the prices as signing the credit card receipt. Noticed one was $15, okay thought a little high but they know the prices. Right? The rest of party arrived and we were seated. Our server was wonderful and attentive. At the end of our meal she brought over individual bills which was great we asked for when originally seated. My friend goes to the restroom and leaves me $100 to pay for her bill. As I put the money inside the bill holder, I notice the same cocktail I bought at the bar is now $10… not $15. I ask the server if it had been happy hour for that price. She replied, we don’t have happy hour. I comment on how the same drink in the bar was $5 more. She tells me she’ll check into it. A little while later… maybe a manager, not sure because he doesn’t introduce himself comes to the table. Had zero explanation and doesn’t even try to explain the $5 difference. Just tells me he’ll take the $5 off my bill. Truthfully it’s not the money, but the principle. I tell him it’s very deceitful and how many people are they doing this to and they never notice. Advice look at your bill!!!!"

"Neddy, is very attentive of her restaurant and customers. It's a family owned business and I have seen all hands on deck myself. Her Husband and Older Son cook while her other children help out as well. Neddy herself loves to talk about her baked goods, which she is very proud of. If you like muffins, she's got muffins (flavors keep growing literally). The food is very delicious and I have no complaints whatsoever. The family is from Jalisco and Puebla. Really nice family and we did enjoy our time there. Thank you so much for being attentive of us. The atmosphere is very authentic to Mexico."

"**Edited Review (12/6):** I had some friends visiting who insisted on going out for a late breakfast while watching football. I tried to warn them, but the TV behind the bar has been out of order for over a year. The bartender served 22 oz. beers that were filled with about three inches of foam. Our order of three beers and three breakfast burgers ended up costing $75. While the burgers tasted good, including the tip, our total was nearly $100. With staff unable to pour drinks properly, a non-working main TV, and seemingly no management to ensure things run smoothly, it's hard to justify spending that much. I understand it's a challenging time for restaurants, but spending $100 for what we received feels excessive. The 3.95% service charge related to minimum wage concerns is particularly troubling. As of 10/16/2022, I will not be returning for food. I spent $48, including tip, on a turkey sandwich priced at $20, which came with only five tiny slices of turkey and a disappointingly small amount of avocado. If you're the owner, you really need to address this. It’s unacceptable to serve something like this for $20. We've given this place multiple chances, but I can't understand why we would return when the quality has been consistently poor."

"I have an order for the last minute catering, a very small work meeting, just needed an antipasto and cheese tablet. I ordered at 11:30 a.m. and found out that the event was canceled at 1:30 a.m., I contacted them immediately to cancel the order for the new date or preferably to change it again. they canceled the $200 order, refunded me $20, and told me they would be happy to accompany our later event, but the cancellation fee is still because they had to throw away all food. a few things. the restaurant industry was hit hard because of the pandemic, I know that. people like me cannot afford to do like these all willing nilly. I know. they had to throw away all food?...Why was there only a 2 hours gap between me to put the order and find out that the meeting was canceled delivery was not planned until 3:30. again, maybe. I'm wrong! but if they had said. if we would still charge them all the amount and throw away all the food, I would have just taken the food and put it in the refrigerator. Finally, nowhere...absolutely nowhere is it written the due customers will be when an order is canceled with this place. they gave me $20 of a $200 order, and we're talking about cheese and olive. it looks like this place has really good food, but I will never order from them again, and no one will be in my company. it is not my fault that someone was sick and that was canceled, not their fault, maybe a better communication and customer service."

"I came to this restaurant after seeing some negative reviews on Google while searching for their closing time. However, I strongly disagree with those who criticized this place. I have been a patron since my student days at SJSU and have always enjoyed their delicious food and excellent service. The menu offers a variety of options ranging from Chinese to Italian cuisine, with breakfast and dinner items available at all times of the day, and everything tastes amazing. The prices are reasonable and the location is convenient, with ample parking, though it may be slightly risky to walk around after dark. I suggest exploring the beautiful SJSU campus instead, as the lit up tower and fountain are a sight to behold at night. In my opinion, the negative reviews are unwarranted. "This was the best place on the west side that could accommodate 7 people at a low or moderate noise level and a varied menu. Being a vegetarian, I didn't have a lot of food choices, but had the veggie burger which was large on bun and slim on burger. It wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't recommend it. Luckily I was there to get together with friends and food wasn't as important. For meat eaters, the menu looked great and everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals ample portions several people had doggie bags to go. The service was warm and friendly we were there almost 3 hours without feeling rushed, even at lunch on a holiday weekend."

"The most AMAZING people in the world work there!!!! I am literally mind blown at how delicious the food is here. But the service is out of this world. Do yourself a favor and ask for Eric. He is wonderful. And ALL of his recommendations are absolutely outstanding!!! We tried pretty much everything on the menu and I cannot tell you which is my favorite because everything is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Try the mini burger. Best burger in the world. The pork dumplings and the crispy tiger bao bun mind blowing!!! The wagu dumplings, and the shishitos, the Brussel sprouts all out of this world. The chicken skewers and the fried milk dessert! "Best Deli Food. Period.. OK, I am a fan of Art's, have been for years. Art's Deli in Studio City is a 1 hour drive for my friends and I. It is well worth it. We come from different parts of So Cal ... the OC, South LA, Inland Empire, and High Desert to meet at Art's for lunch. Family atmosphere because we are treated like family by Art's family ... and the servers.<br/ <br/ As for the food, I invariably get pastrami on rye, though friends try other items. Being an ex-NY'er, I feel qualified to say that Art's pastrami on rye is the best this side of the Hudson. I don't understand others' complaints that it is a basic sandwich, just meat and bread? That IS what is served in NY deli's, no garnishings taking away from the taste of the meat and bread and deli mustard. That is what makes a delicious NY deli sandwich. If you want lettuce, tomato, cheese, or other ... ask for it. In NY City, those are not part of a pastrami, corned beef, roast beef, or other meat-type deli sandwich. Art's sandwiches are big, piled high with meat ... NY style. If you don't want NY style .. go to The Hat for their tasteless pastrami.<br/ <br/ We make the 1 hour drive because we love the food ... and Art, Mrs Art, Roberta, and Harold. Did I mention that Art's IS true NY kosher Deli style through and through!<br/ <br/ And if you want a true NY treat ... try a Chocolate Egg Cream, a fountain drink made to true NY specifications."

"I recently visited the restaurant and ordered a burrito, specifically asking for no cheese and no pico de gallo. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found both ingredients in my order. I called the restaurant to alert them of the mistake, and they agreed to prepare a new burrito for me, but only after confirming that I hadn't eaten the incorrect one, which I hadn't. I then had to wait an hour and a half for the replacement to arrive. When it finally did, it was cold and missing the sour cream I had paid an extra $2 for. To add to my frustration, after eating the burrito, I felt nauseous. Overall, I was extremely disappointed, especially since I spent $15 on a meal that felt more like it was worth $8. I don't plan on returning, although I will say that the green salsa was quite good."

"This place NIE disappoints. The food is ALWAYS at the point. Waitresses are always so friendly. It's my last time here, my friend. Good food, great prices, good service. I have another pastrami sandwich with frits and a Dr.Pepper with pimples on the side. Big sandwich this time on Ciabatta bread, not dipped. Great frits, nice and crispy like the new frits at Farmer Boys . Dr.Pepper had great taste. It was cold outside and was sitting in the fireplace. I will definitely return to this restaurant. "The atmosphere was good, the noise level was ok, the food was missing. The service was very good, nice waiters and reception! The sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican food was very different and not good! Even the salsa for the fries was more like spaghetti, how do you mess up something simple like salsa ??? We think the worst was the enchilada sauce, sweet sauce, cinnamon doesn't go with enchiladas, I don't care if it's California, it doesn't taste good, sorry !!!!!!"

"Definitely not the traditional sushi experience. While each play we received was very unique, it was difficult to navigate the menu. We sat at the sushi bar, and had a hard time understanding the chef that was assigned to us, because of the noise level.  The other servers helped us navigate to make selections… The team, overall, was amazing. Very well oiled machine. They all helped make dinner experience. Very smooth."
