"Not sure what has happened to Sweet Eugene’s in the last few years but it has gone downhill in food quality and service. I ordered an iced latte with almond milk and hazelnut syrup and the barista said “that’s weird” and continued to make comments about my order while making my coffee. The latte itself was okay. I also ordered a savory crepe that somehow managed to have extremely overcooked and rubbery eggs inside with uncooked dough on the outside. It was visually appealing but honestly one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. I took one bite and ended up tossing it in the trash. The atmosphere of Sweet Eugene’s is still quirky and fun so I recommend it if you’re looking for a interesting spot to study."

"Don't be deterred by the busy location or timing! Eva at the counter was incredibly sweet and friendly. She was willing to customize my coffee and made sure I was satisfied with it before I left. I was really impressed by their customer service! The Kolache and donuts were super soft and delicious! I'm very pleased with my visit there!"

"My donut order, half chocolate half glazed was cold, not even room temperature, from a few days or day ago....at 7 am...my first time trying this Shipleys and they didn't get the memo, that's not how Shipley does it. I'm used to FRESH Shipleys or at least baked that day. What an expensive disappointment all for $12.49. Thought of taking it back but decided to not give them my business anymore."
