"Left freeborns to go eat breakfast this last Sunday. Only 1 person working the front. Only 5 sets of customers in front of me. 2 with each set. Young ,red hair lady could only take 1 order at a time, would turn around and wait for each customer order to be filled before taking another. Took her 20 min. To even take our order. Had absolutely anything else been open in Sparta to eat. Would have left. One customer in front of us did walk out the door. Said he could drive home and fix it himself, before he got service there. I observed her holding a cup under coffee machine to fill up. Leaving customers to wait on her to do this. Instead of propping her big hiney up at window waiting on each order. She could have been doing things to stay caught up. Poorest example of what not to do in a fast food restaurant, I have ever witnessed . Also no paper towels in bathroom, nor did dryer work. Last time we ever go there. Thought we were going to pass our from hunger before we got to order. Took us almost 44 minutes in a fast food restaurant to get served and to eat. Then when it came my turn to order. She said it would be 5 minutes on chicken. She actually took another order and helped them instead of standing there for five min. I thought the other customers were going to cheer. Absolutely no customer service, young girl wasn’t smart enough to do the job , but very slowly and very poorly. What has American come to . Cannot even work fast food. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"This Hardee's allows you to use multiple coupons at once, which is a fantastic feature that other locations often lack. The owner is very accommodating and lets you order with more than one coupon, making this the best Hardee's by far. In comparison, the Sleepy Eye location is just average, and New Ulm's is disappointing. Not all restaurants operate the same way; it really depends on the management. My experience at New Ulm's was so poor that we left without our food and opted for McDonald's instead, where they let us use multiple coupons for three people's meals. I don’t live with my parents and wanted to buy my own food, but was told that wasn’t allowed, which is frustrating. Even McDonald's is more flexible in that regard. The Windom Hardee's deserves credit for their customer service, which is likely why the New Ulm location has a bad reputation. At New Ulm's, you're limited to one coupon, although you could technically use another if you went inside after using one in the drive-thru. That doesn't make sense and has cost them our business for good. I've since told my friends not to eat there either, as the staff could really use some common sense. On a related note, I appreciate that the Hardee's in Windom offers free water, as does McDonald's. I recently heard about a child in Mankato who was denied water at Burger King on a hot day, which could have resulted in a serious accident. It’s essential for workers to show kindness and prioritize customers' well-being. Although I struggle financially, I would gladly give up my paid water to help someone in need. Water should be free everywhere. Thankfully, some places still have staff who show kindness and common sense. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5"

"Backstory my mother lives in Greensboro and we are traveling back-and-forth to get her house cleaned out. She has been put in a nursing home. The truck we had to use had barely any heat. If it all. Although the appearance of the restaurant looked great, trying to eat inside of a restaurant that feels like a freezer is not my idea of an enjoyable meal. Normally, my son can handle cooler temperatures, but for him to have to wear his coat just to be able to stay in there and eat? Speaks volumes. My husband who takes blood thinners because he had a heart attack could not wait to get out of there because he was freezing to death. And to be honest, I couldn’t tell a bit of difference between our cold truck and your restaurant. At least I had blankets in the truck. The poor employees working there you could tell were doing what they could to stay warm. I asked them about the fridge temperatures in that store and we were told that the air-conditioning gets cut on later in the day. But it does start out warm in the mornings. We asked her if she could do something about it and she said no it’s controlled from corporate. Let me just say this I am tired of corporations, making decisions about their stores without input from their employees. They’re the ones in the stores doing the grunt work. They’re the ones taking complaints from customers and having to deal with people being mad because of decisions made on a corporate level. They’re basically a punching bag. They’re the ones that get hit with all the complaints and abuse by poor choices not made by them. Just like the person that gets to read, this is the one left dealing with it even though they had nothing to do with any of this. Bottom line what I see is you don’t care about your employees or your customers. Most corporations don’t anymore they only care about cutting corners and making money. Unfortunately the ones on the bottom of this food chain and customers are the ones that suffer. It’s easy to make decisions when you’re in a climate controlled office or atmosphere. The other businesses around, you guys had customers. Your store empty, except for us, and two other people, and one of them took their food to eat in their car because he himself is a heart patient and he said he cannot handle being in there. And that’s sad. He shouldn’t have to eat in his car because the restaurant he’s giving money to is too cold to eat inside of. I will give your employees props. Allison Wilkinson went above and beyond. Apologized even though it’s not her fault. And never once did they trash you guys for your poor decisions. Honestly, can’t say that we weren’t. Your customers that is. They were very professional about it, And myself have worked with the public in one way, shape or form since I was 17. 38 years. Mainly retail. But I’ve also worked, fast food, restaurants and even hotel hospitality. Different positions. And for someone that has been on both sides of the spectrum this is unacceptable. And please don’t use the excuse She doesn’t understand what the events of the last four years have caused because believe me, I do. I’ve seen and heard a lot more than any of you did during the lockdown. I have felt the effects just like everyone else.I work for a retail pharmacy. Trust me, we feel the effects. All I know is I’m tired of hearing excuses. A lot of us are. Start taking care of your employees. Start taking care of your customers. Stop making the ones that keep money coming into your bank account suffer while you don’t. You wanted to hear what I had to say and it may have been a lot but I said it. Make changes or there’s gonna be more closings and more people out of work that can’t afford to be. And I would appreciate instead of going to Customer Service and stopping here send it up higher on the food chain . Don’t let it stop here. And please don’t send it back to the store that we were at because again what can they do? Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back."
