"Overall, I would give this restaurant 4.5 stars, but since it's a small-town gem, I’m raising it to a five. The place has a charming atmosphere that takes me back in time, and I really appreciate the bayou accents. All the staff members were friendly and welcoming. Even though I was dressed more like a city dweller than a local, I was treated well—which isn’t always the case in small towns. For lunch, I ordered two appetizers, which turned out to be more than enough. My first choice was the shrimp boulettes, which reminded me of deep-fried shrimp shumai but even better. They were absolutely delicious! When my lunch arrived, I initially thought I’d want ranch dressing, but it was so perfect that I didn’t need any sauce—why ruin perfection? I also tried the alligator jalapeño bites. They had good flavor without being overly spicy, but the inside was a bit too mushy for my taste. The spice and flavor were spot on, though; it was really just a matter of texture for me."
