"I had this place bookmarked for quite a while, but now that I have tried it, I think it was below average overall. Located in a small strip of a shopping center that barely has any parking spots and next to an auto body shop in the city of Bellflower. We entered the restaurant to find that it looked closed even though there were about 10 food trays. The lights were dim, there wasn't a menu or list of prices, and there was only 1 employee present. The drink storage areas looked as though they were turned off. There were styrofoam containers placed in a row to indicate some prices. The man charged us $6 per small container along with our rice that he charged $1.50; we had 4 small containers and 2 orders of rice which was a total of roughly $29 for lunch. I was going to purchase the chicharron placed in a bag that was placed by the cashier, but the man said it didn't taste good and needed to be replaced by the owner...in other words it was old and stale. We took our meal home to eat because the restaurant just seemed too vacant, not very inviting to sit down and enjoy a meal. The diniguan looked like shredded pork versus the diced cuts it usually is and the menudo was full of bigger cuts/chunks that looked lazily cut. The rice seemed old and overall the food looked like it was reheated from the day before. Sorry, but this would be a first and last time for me."

"Don 't expect too much from a turo-turo (Filipino fast food) inside Seafood City. I came here on an early Saturday evening to buy some ulam (entrees) to go. The ambiance is a typical food court stand with steam trays of various Filipino entrees. I 'm giving an additional star for the food because I like their tender sweet chicken barbecue on a stick. I usually get their 4+1 barbecue deal when I crave for it. Their ulam is usually between a hit or miss. I don 't recommend their pancit (especially palabok) because it 's usually dry or over stirred. However, I do like their grilled seafood (tilapia, squid, pompano) because their seafood is grilled and marinated with diced tomatoes and onions. I am also a fan of their laing because it is consistently creamy, not too salty and perfectly paired with steamed rice. Service was hella slow despite only having 4 staff on duty and four other folks behind me. It 's partly because the group of friends ahead of me ordered 1 halo-halo but the staff mistakenly heard them say 4 halo-halo. I 'm sorry, but I tried Grill City 's halo halo before and is not that great. It is because it lacks ingredients including preserved fruit and ube halaya. The group could have bought halo halo with more complete ingredients, across the parking lot at Chowking. They also use subpar quality of evaporated milk (generic Pamana store brand that is not even close to Carnation or Black White). Please note, I am not throwing shade but I am giving constructive criticism to the staff and managers at Grill City. I nearly waited in line for 10 minutes until I was able to place my order. My order was already staring at me yet I could not place my order immediately due to lack of courtesy from the staff on duty. That day, I only ordered two items: 4+1 chicken barbecue deal and 1 grilled tilapia. I honestly don 't understand why the staff couldn 't tell us please wait a few minutes. We will assist you shortly. Or in Filipino, Sandali lang po. Aasikasuhin po namin kayo mamayang konti. To Seafood City 's Grill City management at South SF, please re-evaluate your service when it comes to addressing an unexpected rush of customers be more courteous to customers when you are experiencing service shortages."
