"Toured this building since it seemed like good value for money compared to other listings on StreetEasy. Unfortunately it is not, be careful. Location is great, lobby was nice, leasing agents and front desk were friendly, amenities were good overall; however, and most importantly, the units were in poor condition and it wasn't just one of them. I toured about 5 different units at very different price points and they were all in bad condition. For example: one of the units had the previous resident's hair in the bathroom (why did no one bother to clean the unit before letting people view it? , another one was missing a refrigerator (drawers from the previous fridge were thrown all over the kitchen counter and it looked like someone had ripped the fridge out of the wall , air conditioner doors were loose/poorly fastened, the finishings throughout all of the apartments felt low quality/cheap, and all of the units I viewed were dark and lacking sunlight. Finally, there was a weird smell all throughout the building except for the lobby (every single floor I visited smelled like a mix of paint, cleaning fluid, and trash which sealed the deal on me never wanting to live there. It seems like whoever is managing the building spent their entire budget on the lobby and doesn't care about how the units are constructed or something like that. Would recommend avoiding. There are better deals to be had in the same neighborhood. Oh and all of the reviews that say they don't do short term rentals anymore are lying to you, go on StreetEasy and you'll see this is still happening, just not with Sonder."
