"At Sweet Basil Cafe Of Skokie, my friend and I savored a delicious omelet breakfast in an ambiance that truly deserves a 10-point rating. The menu offered a variety of enticing options, and the service was excellent!"

"The oysters were equally disappointing; they were terrible with no flavor, and they were still attached to the shell, making them awkward to eat. I had to send my mussels back because they were overwhelmingly salty and lacked any flavor in the broth—just a mix of chopped meat and garlic salt. I usually enjoy salty food, but this was excessive. The crostini served with them were hard and crumbly, and I expected better from a seafood restaurant, like having them served in a metal steamer or at least with an extra bowl. On a positive note, the cocktails were good, and our server was friendly. However, the manager seemed uninterested in our complaints. When she approached our table, she merely relayed that the waiter said we needed to speak with her. Upon hearing our concerns, she told us, "This is how the cook does it," and then she left. We never saw her again, and there was no apology or offer to replace the calamari or mussels. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience."

"We visited Hash House a Go Go about a year ago and absolutely loved it. We were eager to return, so we made reservations, only to receive an email stating that they would no longer be honoring OpenTable. I must have called them 50 times, but all I got was a recording that just said "Hash House a Go Go" before the call ended. I was exhausted trying to reach a person to rebook directly. This situation really needs to be addressed—it feels very unprofessional. I was genuinely looking forward to dining there. We visit Chicago once a year, and I'm very disappointed."

"We shared the cauliflower appetizer which was amazing. The portion was too big for 2 people! We always share the miso frito which is seafood delicately lightly breaded and fried. Just delightful food with attentive but not hovering staff."

"Thank you for a wonderful fine dining experience. A visit to your restaurant was long overdue for us. I still remember when it first opened. We moved away, but we recently returned to town for a Lunar New Year celebration. Making our dinner reservations online was a breeze. The restaurant is lovely and welcoming. The entire staff was attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful. We received a warm greeting as we entered. I ordered the salmon entré, which was cooked to perfection. Normally, I don't eat the skin on salmon, but it was so deliciously crunchy that I finished every bite. I'm an accomplished cook, but the way the chef prepared the fennel exceeded my expectations—simply the best fennel I've ever had. The same goes for my lychee martini, which had delightful little bits of lychee in it. It was fantastic. My husband, who is Italian and quite a discerning foodie, thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. We will definitely be back. You hit it out of the park with my dish! My only dilemma now is whether to try something else on the menu next time or to stick with the same fantastic meal. That’s really the best kind of dilemma!"

"Tonight my husband and I wanted to go out and have dinner on Christmas Day. After reading reviews on open table, we decided to go to Toro Toro four seasons in downtown Houston and make our reservation for 6pm. We were seated. Our waiter, was Lauren’s R (I’m going with what’s on my receipt) it was an older bald headed guy. He explained the menu and recommended drinks and food. We ordered an appetizer, a bar dish, and our entrees. It took 15 minutes for the appetizer to come to our table and Another 15 minutes for the rest of our food. Our waiter never asked us about our meals nor he asked if we needed anything else. The only other time Our waiter came to our table was to dropped dessert menu without him telling us what it is, literally just dropped it on our table and left. It took us 20 minutes to eat our entrees. Another 20 minutes our waiter appeared just to give us our tab, he could care less about our experience since he failed to asked us about our food . Overall, The food was almost cold to the touch when it came to our table and did not impressed us one bit, Texas Roadhouse is much better. The service from our waiter was disappointing and we will never go back to this place again. Our tab was $225 and we regret spending it at this place. Save your money and go to Pappas Bros Steakhouse if u want an amazing meal and unforgettable experience. This place is a NO for us."

"Terrible customer service. Lack of situational awareness multiple times. Bad timing to when it comes to checking up on tables. My friend and I could barely understand the waiter, he gave a steak knife to the wrong person who didn 't order the steak, when the main food arrived... there was no automatic reflex to pick up the previous appetizer dishes before handing us the entree plates until my friend and I did it for them. Waiter would come up to check on the table but would leave before we had the chance to say anything since he would arrive whenever we had food in our mouths. I barely got a hold of one of the managers walking around to ask for another glass of wine since we were waiting for a while with empty plates for the waiter to come by. Waiter came, poured another glass and left.... leaving us feeling even more disgruntled that a place like this would have the common sense to unclutter the table of empty plates in case we wanted desserts but no. please keep in mind the restaurant was mostly fairly empty."

"The service was good. Everyone was nice. However, the eggs were cold and the french toast was undercooked/ still soaked in the batter. I ordered bacon specifically extra cripsy and it was somehow more soft than anyone else's. For a $20 breakfast you would hope for a bit better."

"we had a really nice experience at this restaurant. the lobster appetizer and gruyere popovers were delicious. we were underwhelmed with the tomahawk for two, which was extremely fatty. The sides for multiple people were unusually small as well. it was almost completely empty for it being a Thursday night at 8:30 pm. Would give it a shot again"

"On 3/16, several family members planned to meet up for dinner and made individual reservations on Open Table. We notified the restaurant in advance of our arrival, not requesting to be seated together but hoping for close proximity. Unfortunately, we were met with passive-aggressive comments from management, intentional separation of our parties, and an overall disappointing customer experience. Despite spending over $4000 collectively that night, the food was expensive and bland. We would have been willing to spend more if the atmosphere had been more welcoming. We were thankful for our individual servers, who were attentive and friendly, and saved the night from being a total disappointment."

"I ordered a taco salad with chicken on it from DoorDash. It cost me 25$! The chicken was shredded and there was hardly any chicken on it, It was bagged basically bagged salad with a scoop of chicken on it from the grocery store. The salad was ridiculously small for the price. It also came with a very small container of ranch that wouldn’t even cover the salad,a very small container of salsa, very small container of sour cream and dollar store nacho chips were on top of the salad, so they were soggy. total waste of money."

"The restaurant is now open until 8 pm on Friday to Sunday and until 6 pm on other days. You can enjoy a nice and affordable dinner here. We tried the dumplings which were really good, especially with the great sauce! Breakfast at this restaurant is fantastic, it's our favorite place to go. The fruit served with the breakfast is fresh and delicious. The French toast is one of the best I've ever had, with a custardy texture and perfectly cooked crispy edges. The crepes are also excellent, especially the fresh apple crepe. The cappuccino is delicious and beautifully made."

"Unfortunately this was probably our last time dining at Nineteen. We live locally and used to enjoy the menu items, service and overall vibe. Last night we brought out of town guests and were basically ignored by our server, our meals were awful (pork was so dry and tough) and we were (for a party of 4) charged an automatic gratuity of 22%!!! The service/food we experienced were NOT worthy of that gratuity. We would have gladly left 18-20% but this was a bad experience. It's a shame because our guests usually enjoy seeing the fun golf memorabilia in the clubhouse and we felt fortunate to have this in our area, but now it would be a drop in for a drink only and on to somewhere else for dinner. Very disheartened."

"Okay so this love story began with going to my local deli for an egg sandwich and seeing a sign saying that they were closed. I don't love any other egg sandwiches in my area so I turned to grub hub to see if I can find something worth delivering and I stumbled upon J Gs Delicatessen. Now at first I was hesitant because it is around 15 minutes from me, plus its eggs but I still gave it a try. And in return I received one of, if not the best, egg sandwiches I have ever had. Perfectly cooked delicious bacon, and crispy hash brown and cheese on both sides on the roll! Absolute perfection and I can not wait to try more things from this deli."

"I have been going to 2 West for well over a decade, when it was the Ritz Carlton. I have had an engagement party, two baby showers, numerous dinners, brunches and other events at 2 West. When I lived in the neighborhood, we were at 2 West several times a week. Even after we moved from neighborhood, we continue to come to 2 West for one reason several excellent staff members to whom we have become close. We have continued to patronize 2 West after the take over by the Wagner, despite some disappointments, because of our favorite staff. If Adriano is preparing the food and Jennifer Guerrero is serving, we are guaranteed an excellent meal and a good time. They have taken the time to note and respond to our requests and likes. They always take great care to ensure that our meal is prepared as we like it and we very much appreciate it. Jennifer is absolutely the BEST! She anticipates her customers' needs and is a great liaison with the kitchen. Her pleasant and pleasing disposition make a good meal great. I always call before going to ensure that Jennifer of one of the other reliable servers (Ricardo) is working. If not, we go elsewhere."

"Drove into Saratoga from way out of the area and were hoping for a lovely lunch. Unfortunately, what we got was mediocre. First off, parking is difficult to find. Second, there are at least 6 steps going into the front door and I was bringing an elderly woman with limited mobility and a walker. The staff watched as we basically carried this woman into the restaurant and didn 't even help hold open the front door. We were surprised by the lack of diners for a weekday afternoon; only two tables were occupied. While the menu was extensive, but the food was not all that good or even presented well. The gentleman in our group ordered the breakfast burrito with potatoes which he described as just OK...nothing special or great flavors. Just something to eat after such a long drive. Us ladies both had the same thing...soup and sandwich. The clam chowder was actually pretty good. Nice creamy broth. The ham cheese panninis were lousy. No other way to describe them. Packaged ham slices shoved in between two slices of bread along with a slice of ? cheese and barely warmed... the cheese wasn 't melted, but since it was barely noticeable I guess it didn 't make much of a difference. Service was OK. Passable, but the staff didn 't seem all that interested in the diners. I guess that part that left me shaking my head was at the end. We maneuvered our elderly guest through the other dining tables back toward the front entrance when a staff member said You can use the ramp off the patio if its easier. What the ????? They stood there when we entered and never bothered to tell us we could use the ramp that looks like it belongs to the establishment next door. Food=C Service=C Caring for their guests=F Sorry, can 't recommend this place to anyone, particularly the disabled."
