"Note: I went to this fabulous restaurant on June 7, 2017, since I was at the time in my hometown of Milwaukee for my nephew’s graduation later that week!!! Thanks!!! Another note: Parking is very limited and pleaseDON’T park near the delivery area or your vehicle will be towed at your expense!!! I have been reading about this restaurant online which is not far from the Harley Davidson restaurant as well as the city very own Public Market!!!  I just left Miller Parker and decide to go to this restaurant duringthe lunch time hour!!! My server Mr. Ivan suggested the Maki Combo special since I couldn’t have the tonkatsu (deep fried breaded pork cutlet topped with a Japanese omelet) since they didn't have any at the time!!! My three selection of theMaki Combo special were the Spicy Tuna sushi, the Eel (unagi) and Avocado and the Screamer!!!  When you go to a Japanese restaurant you must try the Miso Soup which is a cloudy Japanese soup consisting of dashi (a broth), wakame (edible seaweed), tofu and I were surprised to have mushrooms in my miso soup for the first time ever!!!I also ordered me some gyoza (which is a pot sticker appetizer which consists of pork and shrimp served with a soy vinaigrette)!!! As I was waiting for my items, I notice the ambiance of the river and the beautiful sunshine hitting the Milwaukee buildings of my hometown city!!! A few times when a boat goes through the bridge in which both sides have boat crossing that stops oncoming traffic and in which the bridge does go up to let the oncoming boats go through if it's above a certain height!!! I received both my miso soup as well as the gyoza and both were very good especially the mushrooms in the soup which do give it a “meaty aroma”!!! After, I consumed items and enjoying every little morsel of both items. I then received my Maki Combo Special consisting of 18 sushi rolls. The Screamer which consists of wasabi (Japanese horseradish), asparagus, hot mustard, and tuna!!! Folks, the Screamer was "no joke" because my nasal passages “SCREAMING ****** MURDER” that is how “hot” that wasabi was!!! I also tried the Spicy Tuna sushi and the Eel and Avocado. The Spicy Tuna did have a spicy taste and the Eel and Avocado had a smoked eel taste but the Screamer knocked both of those taste right out of the mouth and in my personal opinion was the best of all three of my selections from the Maki Combo Special!!! My total for all the items that I purchase which includes a tip of a total of $26!!! Was it pricey and in my personal opinion, “it was well worth it”!!! Be sure you get a hold of Mr. Ivan who was a gracious server and the chef who just“tore it up with the cutlery” and say hello to Mr. Patrick who I have given a great complement of the preparation of the diabolical “The Screamer” dish!!! Overall, the Ghetto Gourmet gave this wonderful restaurant 4.0 Stars **** If you love the Japanese cuisine and you visit my city of Milwaukee don’t hesitate to go into the Screaming Tuna restaurant and try the Screamer (if you dare)!!!"

"Dilapidated and dirty interior, very average food. I?ve been coming to PG for many years. This evening was the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. The interior of the restaurant hasn?t been updated, or thoroughly cleaned, in many years. Thecarpet is greasy and dirty, several light fixtures are burned out, some of the stone facade has fallen off, there are stains onthe walls. The grease panels over the hibachi grills haven?t been cleaned in a long time. The grease is literally dripping ontothe grills. The lobby seating wore out years ago. Ceiling panels are missing and broken; stuff is literally hanging out of theceiling. The hibachi grills have seen better days. The stainless steel trim around the grill top was falling off; the chef hadto put it back in place a couple times. Given the poor condition of the dining area, imagine what the kitchen must look like. How does this place pass a health inspection? The food is average at best. $37/plate is outrageous for the condition of therestaurant and the low quality food. It was hot; that?s the best I can say for it. The soup was weak broth with a couplevegetables floating in it. The salad was floating in a half inch of water and clearly wasn?t freshly made. The steak was fattyand tough; the chicken a bit rubbery. The owners are clearly milking every dime out of the place and not investing a nickel incleaning, repairing or updating the restaurant infrastructure, the menu or the quality of the food. There are so many greatrestaurants in Rochester; this place isn?t among them. Plum Garden?s day has come and gone. Time for a major refresh or toclose."
