"Bubble Republic has become one of my favorite boba places in SGV for a few reasons:1. Drinks. I'd rate their drinks 4/5 stars; they're good and the boba tastes great in terms of chewiness, sweetness, and consistency. But nothing stands out otherwise. Still, I never had a bad drink from here, both fruit teas and milk teas. I'm looking forward to trying some of their more adventurous options next time.2. Food choices! They have tons of great dishes that are awesome comfort foods. The minced meat rice combo comes in a small portion that ensures you don't feel bloated, but still get a good balanced meal. The tomato beef stew hits the spot if you're hankering for a hot dish on a cold or rainy day; the taste reminded me of my childhood! Other dishes like the fish fillet rice bowl comes in a bento that's sure to leave leftovers for the next day. Many of these dishes also have a combo option for a cheaper tea drink as well, which compliments their food perfectly. Definitely must-try!3. Ambience. The place is often filled with people working or hanging out and enjoying themselves. It has such a cozy cafe-like atmosphere that, combined wit the food and drinks I mentioned earlier, really encourages you to stay and visit often.Be warned, the lot is a bit small for parking sometimes but there's always street parking that's not too hard or difficult to find. If you're ever in the area, stop by and give Bubble Republic a try!"

"Let's begin with the highlight of my experience—the Matcha Soft Serves. These creamy, luscious treats perfectly combine the rich, earthy flavor of matcha with a touch of sweetness. The smooth and velvety texture made each bite melt in my mouth, leaving a lasting impression of pure delight. The matcha soft serves at Matcha Cafe Maiko clearly demonstrate their commitment to quality and their mastery of matcha. I was also struck by their dedication to seasonal flavors. On my visit, they offered a special limited-time flavor—Strawberry Matcha. The union of the fresh, natural sweetness of strawberries with the unique essence of matcha was simply divine. The tartness of the strawberries paired beautifully with the creamy matcha soft serve, creating a refreshing and harmonious blend of flavors. The presentation at Matcha Cafe Maiko deserves a mention as well. Each soft serve is meticulously crafted, adorned with delicate toppings and drizzles that not only enhance its visual appeal but also add an extra burst of flavor. It's clear that the team at Matcha Cafe Maiko pays great attention to detail, ensuring that every serving is a true work of art. The service was exceptional, too. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and well-informed about the menu. They eagerly guided me through the various options and provided recommendations tailored to my preferences. Their enthusiasm for matcha and commitment to customer satisfaction were evident in every interaction. The café’s ambiance is cozy and inviting, infused with traditional Japanese aesthetics. The clean and comfortable seating area offered a perfect setting to enjoy my matcha soft serve while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere. In summary, Matcha Cafe Maiko is a sanctuary for matcha enthusiasts, and their matcha soft serves are a genuine pleasure. Whether you choose the classic matcha flavor or one of their seasonal options, you are in for a treat. With their skilled execution, exquisite flavors, and keen attention to detail, Matcha Cafe Maiko is a must-visit for anyone in search of a matcha-inspired culinary experience in Honolulu. "It was a nice day today, well the sun was shining, it was however quite nippy, even still my honey and I decided to venture out. We ran a few errands and hunger kicked in, ramen sounded delightful and we had just crossed 82nd and Meridian when I looked up ?ramen? here on Yelp. Yelp said girlfriend I got you, turn back around, it 's a spot right on 94th and Meridian that has just what ya need. I did a quick check of the menu and photos of course, 3 minutes later we were there. We had for appetizers, fried Chicken which came with a dipping sauce along with gyoza, now unfortunately you can only get pork or veggie Gyoza nothing in between. I don 't eat pork but chicken or shrimp would have been spot on, not an option. I enjoyed the fried chicken bites, they were tasty with the dipping sauce. The gyoza was a little flimsy, few were even torn. Definitely needed to crisp up a little more. I had spicy ramen, either I had to settle for the chicken and pork broth or just vegetable, again I don 't eat pork so I had to go with vegetable, you also can only have pork or tofu in that spicy ramen you can remove the two and have no protein but you certainly can 't add anything else to it. I received a big bowl of ramen which was good, not great. Truthfully a Top Ramen seasoning packet would have helped, or a little chicken bouillon cube. The spice level wasn 't intimidating at all. There was plenty of noodles in there, the bowl was deep, I 'm sure I took half home. My baby love ordered a chicken bowl, pretty sure the chicken in it was the same as chicken from the appetizer, with a little spicy drizzle. It came with corn, purple onion, green onions and nori over rice, with some type of a spicy sauce. Served cold, I think it 's supposed to be that way though. Of course 3/4 of the bowl was filled with rice but my honey enjoyed it nonetheless. A nice quick hot date. Staff was helpful with my questions which is always lovely. No reason for me to rush back, today was nice tho."
