"If you’re looking for a caterer for an event, look no further! Gunther’s Catering has everything you need and more! We used Gunther’s Catering for our backyard October wedding in Willow Glen. Gunther’s provided food, beverages, bartender, service staff, tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, glassware, and ice. Not to mention pickup and delivery! Steve (from Gunther’s was nothing short of amazing. He patiently fielded all our questions (and trust me, there were many! and provided suggestions, sage advice, and (as needed a hefty dose of much-needed reassurance. We even had the luxury of a private tasting at Gunter’s Restaurant. Steve also provided recommendations for other vendors such as a florist, DJ service, etc. Steve came out for a site visit twice to figure out logistics, spacing and “what goes where.” He met with me and our planning team and patiently considered all ideas and offered his own tried and true suggestions. Since this was my first, last and only wedding it was important to me and you know what? It was just as important to Steve. The food was outstanding! In fact, our friends are still talking about how great the food was. The service staff and bartender were efficient and professional. They knew what they were doing and it showed! And those cookies! Our backyard was transformed into a magical venue, even surpassing what we had hoped for. We have Steve and Gunther’s Catering to thank for it!"

"My wife and I wanted a nice laid-back place to sit outside and enjoy a fun dinner. We ended up being very disappointed by the service. Our server took about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity when you are waiting to order beverages). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and waters but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We didn't see our server again for a very long time. We started to feel like our appetizer was a little delayed when food runners showed up with our entrees. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But we were halfway into the meal by that point. The food tasted fine. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. The nachos, I admit, were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered was described to have bread crumbs but was missing that. Fortunately the server had it taken care of pretty quickly. We were never asked about having our drinks refilled. And after eating, we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. None of the problems by themselves would have been a big deal, but together it added up to a somewhat unpleasant experience. The server was nice and apologetic. They also comped us the appetizer which was nice. May have been an off night or maybe a new server, but I can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. Also, we did enjoy the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambiance was nice."

"for the first time visit this restaurant, although we have lived here for a long time. we are not big German food buffets, but enjoy an occasional brat for a step change. my daughter talked about the German history with my son, the story major. So we wanted to have German meals to go with the talk. by we found this restaurant and tried it. the atmosphere was interesting with pictures, graffiti and kennzeichen at the walls. if they have ever been in one of our river city cafe hamburg restaurants (they have great burgers, they will understand the atmosphere. our waitress was brilliant and explains the different meal times, as we were relatiw newcomers. we ordered various meal times so that we can make our own rehearsal (see pictures.) the whole food was great and the portions, generous. we talked to a lady who checked on our table, I think was a owner. she said they were here since 1984 and soon it can end. the restaurant is located in the old part of the beach, which goes through big changes. all old buildings are sold and demolished by the owner. then they plan to rebuild modern, but boring, strip-style spot fronts as part of the city, aka benefits from the history. they do not know if they will try to reopen after their stay. another part of myrtle beach pastness will soon be gone. we are planning to return soon before the closure, which I believe in a few months. So if you want to try a delicious meal, hurry up."
