"First, when we walked in there was no one to greet us and show us to a table. Second, when we were finally seated the service was excellent. The room was cold and they said the heat was as far up as it could go????? As for the food, the Ceasar salad was excellent and the fried shrimp appetizer was good except they had no tartar sauce. My friend had the prime rib which was huge and on the bone. He said it was delicious. I ordered the stuffed scallop special and they were like rubber. The waitress quickly came and apologized and offered me to order something else. I ordered the crabcake appetizer which didn't taste like crab at all...all stuffing. Mr. Schlesinger came over and offered his apologies and told us about how hard it is to get crab and lobster due to COVID delayed deliveries, which we understood. But if you can't get the proper ingredients, take it off the menu. We were not charged for my dinner and the crabcakes but it was a very disappointing experience and we won't be back. I do not recommend this restaurant."

"Clam chowder was decent but both entrees (beer battered fish and crab stuffed halibut) came out at room temperature and lacked any flavor. The food tasted as if it was just re heated or made from frozen. I wouldn’t care that much/don’t usually leave negative reviews but it was really expensive for the quality of the food. "Upon our arrival, the room we had expected to be fully accessible for manual wheelchairs was unfortunately not. This seems to be a common issue with many hotels. My partner went downstairs to address our concerns, and the manager (I regret that I didn’t catch his name) was incredibly kind and understanding. He didn’t ask any follow-up questions and immediately moved us to a room right across the hall. He even checked on us when he left for the evening, and his colleague on the night shift also inquired about our well-being when we returned. The next morning, we were greeted with the same cheerful kindness. I was pleasantly surprised and would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to both of them. "I have to say, this was by far the worst meal I have ever had. The service was poor and the food arrived cold. The meatloaf was greasy and just downright unpleasant. The spaghetti had very little sauce, and the meatball was served on top without any sauce at all."

"We visited Two Sisters recently and were impressed by our wonderful waitress. Despite the busy atmosphere, she promptly took our order and our breakfast arrived in just a few minutes. We enjoyed a delicious omelet filled with fresh vegetables and a thoughtfully prepared breakfast sandwich. The staff was incredibly friendly, embodying the charming spirit of Gloucester. The cozy ambiance added to the experience, making it a great little hidden gem. I wish I could wake up at Two Sisters every morning!"

"You know it’s going to be a lackluster experience when your waiter serves you a dirty martini in a wine glass and explains that all the martini glasses were still hot. Da Nicola certainly lived up to my low expectations. Apparently, the idea of putting ice in the martini glass is beyond their consideration. Our waiter didn’t mention the specials to us, even though I overheard him sharing them with the table next to us, so it seems there were indeed specials available. My husband and I ordered a salad to share, and while I anticipated they wouldn’t divide it onto two plates (not that kind of restaurant), I expected at least a serving spoon. Even our local pizza place manages that! On a positive note, my broiled salmon was quite good, but honestly, it’s just broiled salmon—hardly a culinary feat. My husband’s pappardelle bolognese was excessively drenched in sauce, which is a big no-no in Italian cooking. The whole experience felt rushed, yet it seemed like the regulars at Da Nicola were receiving much better service. We won’t be returning and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to others."
