"Love Cathy's Place, my home away from home. The staff is friendly and welcoming, remembers my name and knows all my family members. I moved to Brooklyn over a year ago from WV and this place has become my haven. I always feel at home when I am here. Sometimes magical things happen too, like when the customers and the staff join in singing to Oldies playing on the Sound System. Food is home-made and very tasty. Don't go here when in a hurry as you will want to linger over your tasty meal and company."

"I mean this is a kind of a cool place to visit but I couldn’t come here constantly. It’s a real small spot, the food portions are on the smaller size for a diner, the atmosphere was cool but it didn’t really hit home for me because they have alot of vintage old machines just laying around, it makes you feel as if your having breakfast in your grandparents cluttered garage or storage area. Some machines were renewed and it just creates this detachment from the vintage environment they’re trying to keep. The food was nothing special. It taste like food you can make at home. For a quick pit stop to get back on the road fast sure this could be the place but for myself I really couldn’t see myself going back here. Maybe if the breakfast was tastier… Side note it’s cash only so bring those bills."

"Very fast and friendly service, the food was amazing and one of the only times I've gone to a diner with free coffee refills and the coffee doesn't taste like water.The serving sizes were large and well worth their price and I'm so sad that I found this gem of a restaurant a week before moving away from valley stream.If you're looking for a lovely place for breakfast/brunch look no further!I've yet to try their lunch/dinner but I had their Quiche as well as their corned beef hash and Caesar salad. Boyfriend had pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Very yummy 10/10 would go again.Also watching the connection that the waitresses had with some of the customers was so wholesome it made my heart explode.Just hearing one of the servers as she saw a regular and looks at him and goes Having the usual Another was talking to an elderly couple that were on a date and treating them with so much kindness and respect. You don't see that kind of genuine kindness a lot anymore.Amazing that this place has such great relationships with their restaurant goers."

"This was our first time dining at Lovi’s and it certainly won’t be our last! From the moment we set foot inside, we were warmly greeted 3 times…setting the tone for a welcoming beginning to our dining experience. Alexandria was an excellent server, attentive in every way possible. Our meals were heavenly…generous portions! We celebrated my dad’s birthday and what a pleasant surprise. The complimentary celebratory eclair was mouthwatering delicious and the sparkling “torch” accenting the dessert was amazing. We definitely can’t wait until we return. Lovi’s made our day a truly special one!"

"Thanksgiving Dinner at Neptune Diner was so great! We ordered the incredible turkey dinner special on Thanksgiving and the food was delicious, smash sweet potatoes, turkey, gravy and cranberry jam! My had a few different meals but they enjoyed every thing and moment here. The salad was delicious as well as the soft bread with butter. The service was excellent, they staff were extremely helpful and generous. It was the perfect setting and location, hope everyone enjoys it as much as we did! "Stopped in with a group of 10 for dinner before the fireworks. Everything we ordered was excellent, specifically the buffalo chicken bites, grilled chicken and portobello mushroom pannini, various wraps and the beef barley soup! "I called to order a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. When I picked it up and returned to work, I discovered that the cheese wasn't even melted. I called the restaurant to inform them, and they suggested that I come back for a replacement sandwich. When I asked if they could deliver a new sandwich instead, they said that was not an option. They only offered me either a refund or a new sandwich, but not both, for the inconvenience. I spoke with Angel, an employee there, and when I requested to speak to a manager, he told me to call back tomorrow. The customer service left a lot to be desired, so I won’t be ordering from this restaurant again."

"I wish I could give this place zero stars!!! We work at a dealership locally and ordered breakfast from here this morning and we found a lovely little surprise in our food. a COCKROACH! "It is unfair to only give this restaurant 5 stars....this is the only place in Rockland that deserves a 60-minute wait. You will not find food of this quality, service, and price anywhere else unless you board a plane and fly internationally. From freshly made Sangria daily (red and white) to the freshest seafood, meat, and vegetables, this restaurant is truly exceptional. I am ashamed to admit that I only went for breakfast for over 10 years and never tried lunch or dinner until tonight. Shame on me! We are already planning to return tomorrow evening. Our meal tonight included delicious dishes such as black bean soup, Little Neck Clams in a green sauce, filleted Branzini, and the ultimate dish - crispy duck. I am almost 50 years old and I can confidently say that this is the best crispy duck I have ever had in my life. I urge you to visit this restaurant not only to support the talented chefs but also for your own enjoyment. Follow Melvin's recommendations and trust his suggestions, as he is truly a wizard in the kitchen at Estrellas. Melvin greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service throughout our meal. "Got a delivery order asked for two small things cheese on a sandwich, which I also added to charge if necessary, and some extra butter. They could not follow these instructions or just chose to ignore them for some reason. 80% of the times Ive gotten from there it has been the same unless order is for pickup, seems like deliveries are undervalued or they just figure no one can do anything about it. Only reason I come back at this point is it is close to home and they’re open late. They make me reconsider every time I order."

"Having been in florida for the last decade I was extremely excited to go to a good ol' jersey diner again. The nostalgic feeling surpassed the food I remember as a young man. It was just OKAY. Maybe it would be better late night after a few drinks like I used to do. French onion soup was bland as can be, the French dip was bland as can be (had to ask for horse radish sauce for flavor) my lady had the gyro and zucchini fries. Idk why she ordered a gyro from a diner LOL clearly frozen mystery meat. And thr zucchini fries tasted like everything else out of the fryer. The regular fries were good. Prices were a little wild. All in all just okay."

"Came here on a friend date and it was so nice and relaxing inside — the restaurant was quiet and we felt comfortable. We got the Brie puff pastry and the blackened tilapia and the shrimp pasta. "I ordered the tilapia fish dish, but it tasted terrible so I sent it back. The waitress was not friendly and the staff was unprofessional. "Horrible customer service, the worst experience here . I ordered a delivery through grubhub and my order was left at the wrong address. This is not the first time that this has happened but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was not the restaurant itself that was the issue. I had called to address this when it occurred in the past and I was told that they could not assist me because the order was placed through a delivery platform so I would have to contact grubhub. So today when it happened again , I did what they had told me to do in the past and contacted grubhub directly about my order. Grubhub told me they would process a cancellation because my order was no where to be found. Minutes after I got off the phone with grubhub I receive a call from Bagel Pub , with a women yelling at me for the cancellation. She was yelling at me saying because of me they weren’t going to get their money, and that I should have called them not grubhub so that they wouldn’t loose money. No matter how much I tried to explain that I did not receive my order and that i was following their instructions she did not care all she cared to say was I was loosing them money. Clearly they do not care about their customer , nor do they have good customer service , or even plain manners. The way she spoke to me was completely disrespectful. This is not the way to handle a business."
