The staff was attentive and ensured that we were well taken care of, checking that our order was to our liking and keeping our coffee cups filled. Their prompt and considerate service struck the perfect balance, unlike the often intrusive service found in many establishments today. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were just right for the price. The owner has done an excellent job of preserving the essence of the business since acquiring it a few years ago. It’s heartening to see more people from my generation taking on the responsibility of keeping small businesses alive, especially when they make an effort to thank customers personally as they leave. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking great food and service at an exceptional value!"

"The coffee bar is a fun touch, allowing you to choose your own mug and fill it with as much coffee as you desire. Their coffee is excellent, and you can even purchase some to take home if you enjoy it as much as I did. Be prepared for a crowd though, as it tends to be quite busy, so a wait is likely. However, keep in mind that this place isn't very accommodating for those with disabilities, and strollers won’t fit easily. Housed in an old building, it offers a charming atmosphere, but it does come with a few challenges. Overall, this café is definitely worth a visit!"

"my server was wonderful. the taste of my food, not so much. very bland. I ordered chicken picatta, this is a tasteful dish. the presentation was appetizing, but everything I could taste was the butter or the oil in which it was prepared. there was no lemon. the only taste came from the capern, and a bit of the brot on the huh. I had a similar experience with her Greek dressing. I have a bottle of strong, but adorned mostly oil on my salad. dear management, preparing her Greek salads earlier to save time, causes her personal to lift the wobbles when a customer does not request wobble. the taste of the raw tweezers remains in the cheese and potato salad. your personal does not make a fresh salad. my salat was delivered with tweeping on it, although I demanded it without everyone. the same salate was brought back with the wobble; they missed a piece. it's a very good thing for her restaurant that I have no allergy to twirling."

"The first time here. I love places that have a solid family history. We have the poor steak sandwich for what they are known for. What makes this different is the garlic butter that it is applied to the meat, not the bread. Unlike garlic bread, which can be unconsistent taste, this taste is consistent. It's a party in your mouth with every bite. We didn't get anything to get the full taste of the 6 oz round steak. Next time I add the mushrooms. They offered cheese, onions or mushrooms. It comes with thin-cut pimples. I have to say it adds a nice note when considering that I'm not in the Pickle Fanclub. The sandwich is a beautiful size and will make me 2 meals. I ordered fries and my husband ordered onion rings. The Pommes were common, the star was the onion rings. The presentation was appealing, they were crispy and beautiful light rings. They can bite through the onions, perfectly cooked. I hate to bite in an onion ring and the whole thing comes out. It is served with Ranch Dressing. Our friends recommended the double-baked potato. It was good, but I think it really wasn't with that sandwich. But my husband enjoyed it. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, the service is very good and attentive. The onion rings are expensive, but worth every penny. This restaurant was forever and does not need my review, but they have a great place, and we need to spread the word! We'll drive 60 miles and we'll be back!"

"Watched one employee wipe the floor with a towel then tossed the towel on the counter for the next employee to wipe the counter several times. Told the employee that the towel she just cleaned the counter with and clean her hands with was just used by the other employee to wipe the floor she then turned around grabbed the towel and wiped her hands again and tossed it back on the counter. How gross! We will not be going back."

"Oh lordy where to start, the breakfast was scumptous along with Jennifer being a amazing waitress. The half order of biscuits gravy was as good as mine, that's a first for me. Now the Bakery is da bomb, so so many choices. You have to go there to understand as you'll see in my pictures. Prices on both the restaurant bakery are so reasonable, besides supporting a local business. Fresh everything, my car smelled like a bakery for a couple of hours. Down the road one block is a fabulous view of Fox River to boot."
