"I had the worst experience tonight at this establishment. I ordered the brussels sprouts for $18, and and it was a bowl full of browned/burnt leaves there was not a single full head in the entire bowl. The entire contents of the bowl weighed as much as a feather. I figured it was a kitchen error, no big deal. Politely, I called over the gentleman from whom I placed the order (heavier set man, late fifties/early sixties), and I explained the situation to him, and said I 'd be happy to try again, or just order the Cobb Salad if they are 86 'd on brussels sprouts. He snapped at me. He said, what do you want me to do? .....I explained the situation to him a second time.... and again stated my request to swap the mishap for a Cobb salad instead. He interrupted me and said, this is our brussels sprouts. This is how we do it here, to which I meekly replied... but there is no food in the bowl. He cut me off again and replied, Sorry, you 're not getting a refund, or another meal. JUST LIKE THAT. While scowling at me. The two women I was dining with were slack jawed. He was so hostile. And so unusual. He seemed so miserable and was strangely taking it out on me. I have never been treated so poorly in any restaurant. I would like to speak to the owner (assuming it 's not this man) and I will be calling tomorrow to find him/her. I demand a refund. I had to leave my evening with girlfriends early to make secondary dinner arrangements for myself since I didn 't get any food to eat at Boar Dough. Until then, I 'll be speaking to everyone I know (which is a LOT of people in the Calabasas/Agoura/WLV/TO area) warning them to never give their business to Boar Dough."

"There are a few things that I can say I love with complete confidence. Pie and biscuits are on that list right below my wife Sam. What’s better than just regular pie and biscuits though? Eating them on a sweet patio. It just so happens that Bang Bang Pie Shop combines all these things in one space and they do it really well.<br/ <br/ You may have seen Bang Bang’s pies on some dessert menus across the city. Unfortunately I can’t remember exactly where for the life of me, but I’ve always been way too full to take advantage. That led Sam and I here on an early Sunday afternoon. Once we stepped inside we were greeted by smells of peach cobbler and we knew we were in the right place. I ended up getting the sausage biscuit with an egg. Sam got the grits and we split the candied bacon and a slice of honey pie. There were so many good options though. I was so close to getting the pecan, but I have a feeling there will be a next time.<br/ <br/ <br/ After ordering, seeing the patio or rather the Pie Garden, is pretty neat. Luckily for us it was a drizzly morning so it wasn’t nearly as crowded as it could have been. It’s a cool spot and it stacks up to patios like Honey Butter Fried Chicken and Parsons. A bit of effort went into the country theme with some old doors lining the fence along California.<br/ <br/ As far as the food, the sausage biscuit was well worth it. I’d definitely recommend adding the egg on top. Breaking the yolk and letting it run adds that extra dimension, not to mention it makes for a good picture. It was kind of like one of those McDonald’s sausage biscuits except this one was better in every conceivable way. Sam got the grits and from what I tried I definitely liked them but the biscuit is where it’s at. And you can never go wrong with candied bacon, totally worth it getting a side of that.<br/ <br/ All of that is good but it’s not the reason you came. You’re here for the Pie and I was pretty over the top about it. Ever have one of those moments where you eat something and it’s so good you can’t even say anything and you just kinda nod your head in approval/happiness? That was the honey pie. Like I said though, I really love pie, so I was a little biased.<br/ <br/ Sam and I loved this place so we wouldn’t have any reservations recommending it. Did I mention we got iced tea too and the bill was about $30 before tip. Well worth it."
