"Questionable hours. We decided to get a burger and a shake on a warm afternoon. We had seen how Elliston Place Soda Shop almost closed due to rent problems and some how was reprieved. My wife and I entered Elliston Place Soda Shop at We were told at the door that they were closing for the day, right before the dinner hour. "I just witnessed a very unhygienic woman at the cash register preparing burgers with her long nails and bare hands. She was contaminating the counter like crazy, which is completely unacceptable for food preparation. When I asked her why she wasn't being hygienic, she responded with a terrible attitude, claiming that she was being careful, but I could see for myself that she wasn't. I requested a refund and left, feeling utterly disgusted. I had wanted to try their burgers, but if this is their food preparation method, I will never eat there. It's shockingly unclean! With long nails dipping into the condiments right at the register while helping customers, it's truly alarming. The health department needs to step in and provide this place with some guidance on proper food handling practices."

"This restaurant was a 5 minute ride from the hotel so we gave it a try. The waitstaff is really nice. They have keno. Plenty of tv’s playing a variety. Lots of tables and a big bar.The waitress was so accommodating to my current dietary restrictions. Ordered the corned beef meal without the meat so they loaded me up on the other sides. Needed lots of salt and butter but was very tender. Also ordered a large Caesar with grilled shrimp. $12 for 3 shrimp.. seemed very expensive. Also ordered a dessert, the brownie fudge sundae was very good."

"We are traveling in from out of state and regret not choosing somewhere else to eat for the day. I chose this place and we arrived at 10:20. We were told they stopped serving breakfast at 11- we had PLENTY of time to order. We sat down at 10:27 and were given breakfast menus. Nobody came to serve us. This was AFTER we watched a table of 6-8 get up and leave after not being served and the server being VERY rude to them and yelling at them. We should’ve known then. We chose to still give it a try. 25 minutes later, we had asked about a server and the busser said ‘well we don’t serve lunch until 11’. Okay, 1, still can we get a server? 2, we were here in PLENTY of time for breakfast! My husband went up and asked to switch to lunch menus since the server has ignored us. She switched them and then she still didn’t come over to our table. 11:05 comes around, FINALLY someone else comes over and her initial hello was ‘hi I just walked in the door I’m not sure what’s going on but I was told to come to your table’. With frustration, I explained what happened. Luckily she was very sweet but still we were not impressed. Food was pretty decent, but I will never return as the service was so poor. Watching a server yell at customers is NOT okay, even if you’re busy. And watching a server completely ignore tables and wait on (obvious) regulars that walked in AFTER us, again not okay. We would have left but it would have taken more time to load two small children up than to wait. But in the hour and a half we were there, we watched three tables get up and leave. This is a poor representation for a restaurant."

"I had a lovely experience. This wonderful girl, I believe her name was Lana, brought us our food and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a busy night and our server, Dominique, was swamped but it was nice to have someone who put forth the extraeffort to make sure everything was right and we got what we needed. Between Dominique and Alana everything we needed wasaccounted for. At one point during our meal Mike addressed our table and for some reason was very matter of fact and seemed tohave no sort of personality, almost as if there was a vendetta against the people who were serving our table. He kept asking ifwe had any issues or if something was incorrect. He couldn?t take the fact that we were completely pleased with our service foran answer. These beautiful young women went above and beyond to make sure our meal was everything we could have hoped for andthis ?Mike? character just seemed to want us to feel as if we weren?t being served properly. I hope this was just a one offsituation and this isn?t the same response he gives all of his guests. The food was great and next time we come in we lookforward to seeing these two beautiful young women again! We will definitely be returning, just hopefully next time no one willtry to bring down our lovely moods!"

"We visited BB Kings on 3 different occasions during out 5 day visit to NOLA. The 1st and 2nd were great experiences. Food great, bartender recommended great drinks and music was entertaining and fun to sing and dance to. Our last visit was a completely different experience. Waiter too forever to come take our drink order and dinner order, after food was delivered to our table he never came back to ask if we needed anything further. I ordered another round of drinks on happy hour and didn't get them at all. Music playing was ok seemed karaokeish. So keep in mind I guess depending on the staff this establishment can be hit and miss."

"Love coming to this restaurant every year for a special occasion. This time it was for my husband's birthday. First thing that was surprising was the fact we had to pay $10 to park at the restaurant. Then, even though I had a reservation and had requested specific seating and told them ahead of time that we were celebrating, we did not get the seating that I requested. When I questioned this at the restaurant, they told me that there is no guarantee on meeting my request. Nobody ever mentioned anything about our celebration. Our server took away our cocktail menu immediately and gave it to another table after we sat down. Our meals were very small portions, and we cleared our plates completely. Server took our bread before we even finished eating it. We were literally there for 40 minutes total, from the time we parked until the time we left. Unfortunately, we were very very disappointed, and will not be returning."

It's the same distance from us as Larosas. I prefer Larosas so we ordered from here. Google said they closed at 11. We placed our order right at 10pm with a due delivery time of 11:01pm. We ordered the Meal Deal for $24.99. Two one topping medium pizzas. Pepperoni on both, cooked well done, cut pie shaped one light sauce. The pizza showed up at nearly midnight. Cold, hard, not cooked well done NOR cut pie shaped. Nearly two hours to go less than 2 miles. With two medium one topping pizzas and rondos. Very unpleasant experience."

"We've gone to Lou's for many years to celebrate birthdays with families. Sadly, the experience this last Saturday was awful. My party of was sat in the atrium, which we like because it's airy and we have four kids that can use the extra breathing room. Well, we had to ask to be moved inside this time. To our left, there was a group of heavy smokers and the plastic walls of the atrium were poorly sealed. We could not tolerate the smoke wafting inside. We moved to the left side because off to the right where we were sitting before had a group of heavy smokers who brought their very rambunctious barking pit bulls with them. The smoke wafted in from their side along with barking and growling. I do not understand why the manager allowed this. At any rate, the service indoors was so bad we had to make trips to the bar to put in orders for things on top of being served by waitstaff. We wound up eating our appetizers on napkins because there weren't enough plates brought to accommodate our large party. We won't be going again!"

"Our server didn't come to our table to even greet us or take drink order until we sat for 20-25 minutes. Our drinks (which were water and sodas) didn't arrive after our food arrived. The beverages came in small to go cups and our server never came to fill them up our beverages. Our kids didn't receive their dessert until about 30 minutes after they were done eating. Then waited about another 20-30 minutes to get the check. Slowest service I ever received and it wasn't even very busy, but the food was delicious."
