"We dined at wine cellar at Harry Browne’s. You’re almost 100% guaranteed to get lost finding your way to cellar. You can be annoyed by that or find it to be yet another adventure as I did (even after being directed by the host at the front).Good wine selection (if you want a cocktail, you have to ask for that…you’re in a wine cellar).The staff was lovely, the food was decent (the crab dip was great!)Downside, the cellar is unsurprisingly an internet dead zone. That may be good for staying unplugged. But we did have a situation where someone at home couldn’t reach one of us for a fairly serious issue."

"We visited as our 9th anniversary dinner out. It was perfect. The ambiance was quiet, subtle and romantic. "My daughter and I had the best lunch yesterday, we both had the chicken breast festival. I would almost order the exact dish at Romanos Makkaroni Grill, but they stopped it a few years ago. I just wish I knew you were serving this because I had made a lot of visits in the past. I asked our server if we could replace the Roma tomatoes for sun-dried tomatoes and he said no problem, It was the most delicious pasta dish I had in a very long time! It was even better than Romanos Macaroni Grill! Our server was amazing, although he was with himself, he made sure everyone took care. We also ordered a five-part Mozzarella Stick appetizer, but they were from the larger Mozzarella sticks, so you all gave us a double amount of the smaller ones. I added the cook and the server for the wonderful service and food."

"First time trying Johnny Carinos. It was pretty good. The 5 meat pasta is definitely recommended! It is a bit spicy but worth it if you like a spicy kick to your food. We had left overs with that dish. The next plate we ordered is the shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta. Wasn’t the best and I would give that plate a 7/10. Didn’t have much flavor and I wouldn’t order it again. They have margarita 2-10$ but wasn’t that good . Our server did not make the drinks right because you can barley taste the alcohol and the ice melted quick, it was like a lemonade juice after. But I will come back again to try out there pizzas Also !! TRY the TIRAMISU! It is absolutely delicious if you are a fan of it. Pricey but good 9.69$ Over all we spent $80 for our dinner tonight."

"Had a baby shower for my sister in December and perfect' is the best way I can describe the venue and the host, David. Considering it was my first time booking a venue, I appreciated that David did not beat around the bush when it came down to all that was included and how much it would cost.The space was already beautifully set up by the staff (who were so kind) and he gave us room to add our own touches. A huge part of my 5 star review was the food and desserts. I would book again without hesitation and I strongly recommend. There was also a mixup from my family and David was truth worthy and accommodating.Ps. Parking is provided and conveniently located in front of the venue!Thanks David!"

"Had a reservation at noon today with my family to celebrate my birthday. I picked Maxs because I love fried chicken especially on a Sunday and their fried chicken and collard greens are some of the best in Houston. We got there at 1146 and were sat. It was very busy so a young gentleman said he was not our server but would take our drink and appetizer order and our server would be over shortly because she was tending to a large party. We sat there for about 19 minutes waiting on our server while people who came in 10-15 minutes after us were being waited on and ordering their meals. The table next to us was sat 15 minutes after us and had already ordered their meals and we still had not been approached by any other server or employee of the restaurant. So we got up and left. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Happy birthday to me."

"Great atmosphere, drinks and food. My only issue was the lack of social distancing inside. On the patio the tables seemed spread out, but inside had people sitting side by side at the bar and it was packed. Only time customers wore their masks was to go to the restroom, so don’t really see how you could avoid others. Overall, this seems like a great place to hangout, but I will not be returning until after the pandemic since it now seems irresponsible of me to go while we still have cases"

"Maybe is was due to the holiday, it was a lack Luster experience. The dining room wasn’t busy, there were maybe 4 other tables with patrons. Our server was nice, he seemed to be managing all the occupied tables in the restaurant. My salmon from the clean eating meal was very good, the ribs were reported as more spicy than usual from one of the other people in our party. Someone else stated the risotto was full of garlic but bland with no salt or other seasoning The cannoli pizza, ordered for the table to share was honestly not very good. There was barely any cannoli toppings on it."

"We can in for a girl's day. It took the bar tender forever make a drink. Quiet honestly I was there for 45, mins before the bar tender made my drink. And the waitress came up and told me she kept forgetting..... There were maybe four other tables in the whole restaurant. It took them almost 1 hr 30 mins to bring our food out. The food was good. It was warm, not hot but warm. I got the fiesta lime chicken and three cheese chicken penne. The pasta was perfect and cheesey and chicken was great. The last time I ate here the wait was horrible as well, and my fiesta lime chicken was Burt to a crisp. And I mean actually black, hard burnt. This time, it was cooked right but you can tell it had been sitting under the warming lamp too long. My tortilla strips were rubbery, and soggy....they out waaaayy too much of the lime sauce on top of the chicken. And as usual the rice was flavorless, dry, and rubbery. But all in all it was alright."

"This was my first time trying out this restaurant, and it was decent. I ordered a mixed salad, which had a heavy dressing and consisted of basic romaine lettuce, carrots, and large tomatoes. I would have preferred the tomatoes to be cut into smaller pieces. The pizza I ordered was better, but it had a simple combination of red peppers and mushrooms. It was average in taste. The crust could have been softer, and it would have been nice to have a choice of different pizza sizes (4 slices, 6 slices, and 8 slices), but they only offered 6 slices. The atmosphere was old-fashioned and traditional. The service was slow and the staff acknowledged this. Be prepared for a long wait for your food. The waitress was friendly and attentive once the food finally arrived at the table. On the bright side, they offered complimentary bread. Overall, it is a good place for Italian cuisine."
