"I arrived with a reservation for my birthday, but the hostess informed me that I would need to wait 25 minutes to be seated on the lower level. While waiting, I went down to the bar and noticed four small tables were available. I politely asked the hostess why I had to wait, and she explained that all the tables were reserved by the owner. It was quite frustrating to begin my birthday dinner with such difficulty in securing a table."

"The prices are reasonable, especially for TriBeCa. I’ve spent $16 on uninspiring sandwiches at other trendy places nearby, so it’s nice to find lunch specials ranging from $9 to $12 here. I’ve bumped my rating up to 4 stars from the initial 3 because the atmosphere is pleasant and quiet, providing a nice escape from the bustling city outside. There’s plenty of seating, and my server has been incredibly kind and welcoming—definitely a highlight of my experience. While the food isn’t out of this world, it’s quite good. So far, my favorite dish has been the spicy buffalo sandwich. Plus, the coffee is consistently excellent!"

"I had an excellent dining experience! The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. Our waiter was attentive and prompt with every request. The restrooms were immaculate, and the entire place was very clean and well-organized. Overall, for dinner, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at a perfect 5 out of 5, with the cost per person ranging between $50 and $100. Highly recommend!"

"Wanna pay a huge price for bad service and horrible food???WELL THIS PLACE IS JUST FOR YOUWalked in on mothers day, expected it to be quite full but it was empty. We thought it was weird but we just thought they just opened, everyone sat down and INSTANTLY the waitresses had ALOT OF ATTITUDE.Constant dirty looks and side eyes went for us, even in there voice it was noticeable. As a matter of fact it seemed like they WERENT tryna hide it.We started ordering our food and almost EVERY CHOICE WAS UNAVAILABLE.Want carne? NoStrip Steak? NoLengua? (Cow tongue) NoThankfully they ONLY had chicken. We ordered oysters and ended up leaving after it tasted ABSOLUTELY ROTTEN.The salsas were not spicy and tasted like it was thawed out in a microwave after being FROZEN.We all ordered JUST DRINKS AND OYSTERS.Expected amount? Maybe like, 23$ probably. How much was it? 74$!!!!ALL THAT MONEY FOR OYSTERS AND SOME DRINKS, I COULDVE GOTTEN WAY MORE AT A NEARBY MEXICAN RESTAURANT WITH BETTER SERVICE.DO NOT COME HEREThe only restaurant I wish to see be torn down. Also don't follow them on facebook......"

"this place is decent when they really have a few Mexican foods, but it is not always consistent and the device give some people a headache. also there are some places in the restaurant where the ceiling fans flash the lights so that not everyone table in the restaurant is somewhere they want to sit. eating itself is typical Mexican eating as it stands out in most restaurants with nothing special and nothing. the service is usually quite good."

"After having a great experience in the past, we were looking forward to dining at Debbie and Peppone this weekend. Unfortunately, it took 40 minutes for our breakfast to arrive, which really affected our experience. The food was just okay, and aside from a simple apology, there was no effort made to address our disappointment. I won't be returning and can't recommend it."

"I really loved this place because the food is really good. While I understand that price increases are common lately this place feels to have taken full advantage. Not to mention that if you don’t look at your receipt you could end up tipping twice since they automatically add their own tips and not just a few bucks either at least a good 25%.This place takes advantage of the poor people that don’t think to check.Aprovechados."

"Food was pretty good but not my favorite. I did LOVE the beans that came with the meals! Chips and 3 mini salsas to try before order was nice but I found myself missing salt that was clearly not on the tortillas. I got the shrimp enchiladas and wish Iwould've asked for flour tortillas. Corn is the default so make the request if you prefer flour. My wife and daughter lovedtheir meals though and our server was great!! The selling point on this place though is the margaritas! Get passion fruit witha tajin rim. Trust me. I wouldn't come back for food considering the price point and not loving it but I would for sure comeback for cocktails!"

"My name is Joe S. and I visited this restaurant on February 18th at around 6:15. I had been here before for a date night with my wife before heading to a movie at 7:55. We ordered Guacamole, a beer, and a coke for an appetizer, placed our order for dinner (just the two of us), and then waited for an hour. My coke ran out after 45 minutes and we never received a refill. The waiter never checked in to give us an idea of when our food would arrive. Finally, at 7:22, I told my wife we needed to go to the movie so we called the waitress over. She apologized and brought our bill for the drinks and appetizer, even though we never got to eat. I used to frequent this restaurant but it seems like I will need to find somewhere else to dine in the future."

"I miss the original owners of this place. Granted they sold to these individuals 8 years or so ago give or take. Out of all the Mexican food in Grayslake this is the worse quality of the lot. Their steak and pork have fatty/gristled pieces. Most times you have to spit it out. I've found hair in my food. The last 3 times I ordered take out, I found a long strand of hair twice in the taco salad. I wish this place had more consistency."

"This place is a gem! One of the best restaurants in the desert in terms of price, quality, margaritas, service, and table salsa. It's not the most expensive (like Fresh Agave) but also not the cheapest (like El Mexicali). The Cadillac margaritas are amazing- beautiful, strong, and tasty. The food is delicious and served quickly. The portions are very generous and come with a delicious little corn cake. On Taco Tuesday, you can mix and match Mexican street tacos for $1.50 each (they have 5 options to choose from). A tip: one taco can easily be split into two for kids. The burritos are also a great choice- make them wet with green or red sauce for an enchilada. The table salsa is always top-notch. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They even have baked ice cream for the kids. Happy hour until 6 is nothing special, and the house margaritas aren't great. The restaurant can get busy in the evenings and afternoons."

"The vegetarian burrito was bad, I don't know how their other food is. But the lady who gave me the food seemed very nice. If the vegetables were chopped smaller it probably would have been more edible but there were just giant chunks of carrots and potatoes all throughout as well as some rotting zucchini and celery for some reason. The cheese was only on top of the burrito and there didn't seem to be much salt. Overall not a pleasant meal at all but I do appreciate the kindness of the employee I met."

"Our meal began with complimentary ceviche and tostadas, which were absolutely delicious. To complement this fantastic dining experience, we opted for some beer and margaritas (see picture). The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, enhanced by an eight-member mariachi band. The music was authentic and enjoyable, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire this band for a special event. In fact, we ended up staying much longer than we planned just to enjoy the music. Our waiter, Omar, provided exceptional service. He was friendly, helpful, outgoing, and incredibly attentive. Despite LM being busy throughout our visit and Omar juggling a few large tables, we never felt neglected. Just when we were about to look for him to order something else, he appeared out of nowhere, almost as if he could read our minds! We will definitely be back soon. Thank you, Omar and LM! Roy/Joel"

"I had a great experience at this restaurant. The chips could be better, but I really enjoyed their salsa. I ordered the carne asada plate which came with cebollitas, a grilled jalapeño, rice and beans topped with cheese and half an avocado. They did a good job trimming the fat from the steak this time, which was a pleasant surprise. My child had a cheese quesadilla with beans, which was a good value. We topped off our meal with horchatas from the machine. The service was excellent."
