"party of 7 (with reservations obviously not needed) went to dinner on a Sunday night. we were the only customers in the restaurant. the music from the bar has blown. we asked three times for it to be lowered; if it was, it was hardly noticeable. one of our guests asked a gluten-free menu; lasted approx. 10 minutes to get. the busboy told us about a dinner, but the waitress had no warning. one of our parties ordered an appetizer that they were “out” but it also took a long time before these information was transmitted. the appetizers were at least delicious and good. 5 of us 7 ordered the same Indian style fried chicken. they ordered a burger, another one. it took about 45 minutes to serve our meal. at the 1/2 hour mark, one of the parties asked the manager about the delay, especially since there were no other tables served in the restaurant. instead of being gracious and asking if she could get us something while we waited, she tried to argue the time that it took, based on what the ticket showed as our waitress submitted our order. really bad management / customer service skills. when the food finally arrived, it was warm (not hot), the hamburger looked like shoeskin (not juicy and delicious above). we shouldn't have stayed even when we came in and saw that the place was empty, but we didn't want to drive around on Sunday night. Apart from the fact that the restaurant enjoys the company of the other, the experience of the restaurant was absolutely poor. If they can not support customers on a Sunday night or not over attractive employees who want to work in this night, then they close the restaurant on Sundays! definitely will not return."

"Mount Desert Island Ice Cream has five shops mainly located in Portland, with additional locations in the District of Columbia and Japan. We visited their Portland location for the first time and were impressed by the delicious ice cream. The ice cream is made in small batches with a high ratio of butterfat and low air whipped inside, showcasing their dedication to quality. The flavors were all tasty and the atmosphere was cozy and simple. They don't list all flavors on the wall, so you'll have to visit to see the full selection. The line can get long quickly, so arriving early is recommended. The counter service was friendly and efficient. If you're in Portland, Maine and looking for unique flavors, give this place a try. We tried an ice cream flight with four different flavors - Metz Sugar Pill, Blueberry Sour Cream Crumble, Lemon Poppy Jam, and Butterbeer. Our favorite was the Blueberry Sour Cream Crumble, which had a rich blueberry flavor with a hint of sour cream and a sugary crust. The Lemon Poppy Jam was also delicious and fresh, with a generous amount of jam. The Metz Sugar Pill was a tasty take on s'mores, with a marshmallow base and graham cracker bits. The Butterbeer flavor was different, tasting more like root beer than expected but still enjoyable. There are many other flavors we want to try on our next visit. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were exceptional, earning a perfect 5 rating. Check out their variety of flavors and follow for more reviews across America."
